Myself and my husband stayed here for a week from 28th August 2026, at the Robin Goch lodge, within Fron Haul.

This is the first lodge you come to on arrival. We had a lovely time. Our favourite was the balcony with the gas bbq, large rattan dining area, tv and a huge hot tub (7 seater), which felt like a swimming pool for the 2 of us. Despite the rainy weather most of the week, we were still able to enjoy the views under the roofed balcony and enjoyed listening to the rain and the animals in the nearby fields, it was so peaceful and tranquil. Vicky, the owner, came to visit daily to ensure the hot tub was tested and treated, as needed. Vicky was very friendly and helpful, offering recommendations and letting us know of places nearby. We visited the ‘Druid arms’ for Sunday lunch, which we booked ahead. Great food and desserts! We also visited Chester and went to the ‘Rio Brazilian steak house’, which was amazing. We had a Chinese delivered from ‘Welcome Chinese Takaway’ (menu within the lodge), they found us no problem and we paid cash at the door. They also do fish and chips and accept bank transfer, as alternative to cash. The living room/kitchen was large and open plan with everything needed. There was also bi folding doors out onto the patio with table and chairs. There were towels provided for the hot tub and separate ones for showering. There were TV’s in the living room, all bedrooms and on the balcony. All 3 rooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers only. Plenty of parking room next to the lodge. There was everything you needed including utility room with hair dryer, airer and ironing board. We had a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet peaceful holiday in the countryside. Thank you ☺️

We had an amazing stay.

The house had everything we needed from Hot tub towels, games for the children and amazing scenery. Lovely relaxing stay with a huge hot tub & BBQ undercover so we could use no matter what the weather, which we did!

Just back from a fabulous stay at Fron Haul.

The house was amazing with great facilities- plenty of space for our family of 4. We highly recommend! Our highlight was stargazing from the verandah hot tub following a bbq in the evening! Location was ideal - we were able to drive to many places (eg. Zipworld at Blaenau Ffestiniog, Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa railway, Erddig, Llangollen++) within 1 hour. Vicky - our host made us feel very welcome and was available for any advice on the area, including great places for local food supplies (eg. John Jones butchers in Ruthin, Llaethdy Llwyn Banc Dairy for fab vended milk and milkshakes) All adding up to a fabulous activity packed and relaxing 7 day break
