Great location just outside town, lovely and peaceful.
Pretty private and secluded which was nice. Facilities and cleanliness could be improved but overall we had a great experience and loved our little getaway at the Chalet.
he current pictures and description are not accurate.
The property is now very dark and cluttered. Views are now blocked by overgrown trees and bushes. Hot water almost impossible unless tap is on a trickle. Towels were bleach stained and old. Some curtains don’t fit the windows and the tv was tiny. Whole place in need of updating

Here’s a corrected version: --- We stayed here for a week and were quite happy. The owners are very nice people and the surroundings are beautiful. Regarding the views mentioned in another comment – the picture wasn’t taken from the garden, but the view can still be seen from the entrance to the property. However, there are so many beautiful trails nearby that you can enjoy spectacular scenery during your stay. The chalet itself is comfortable, but the décor is a bit different from the pictures – there are more bits and bobs, and instead of a cream settee there are dark blue covers. The bedrooms are not modern looking but have more of a granny-style décor, which has its charm – it feels like staying at an older relative’s house in every sense. So, if you are looking for a hotel/modern-style place, I would suggest looking elsewhere, as you might be disappointed here. The place is equipped with everything needed for 2–3 people. The 4th bed is very small and in a tiny room, so only a young child could fit there. Sitting at the table is also a bit crammed for more than 2 people. The water is hot with good pressure, so I’m not sure what the comment about lukewarm water was about – we always had plenty of hot water when needed. As for the smell – I was concerned after reading comments about a musty odour (I suffer from asthma), but there was no musty smell at all. We could only smell a strong bathroom air freshener, which we had to put away. After airing the chalet, there were no problems with smells and we could sleep and breathe comfortably. The loungers in the garden need replacing, as you have to be very careful when sitting on them, but we were still able to enjoy the sun. The noise from the traffic is unusual – you can’t hear it from the road in front of the house, but on some days the noise from cars going down into the mountains sounded like aeroplanes taking off. When the wind changed, though, we couldn’t hear it, even though the traffic levels stayed the same. Inside the chalet it is quiet, but sitting in the garden can sometimes be challenging. We had some lovely quiet days, but on others it wasn’t possible to relax outside. The garden itself, however, is very nice, with lots of birds around and sheep baaing nearby. Parking at the top of the garden near the main house is fine. You shouldn’t park further down in the garden, as that really is the garden (not a parking spot), and this is why someone in the other comments had trouble reversing. Cooking can be challenging unless you like to use microwave - I don't - but there are plenty of places nearby to eat out. Overall we were happy with our stay and would come back.
