We had such a wonderful time staying at Celyn.

The hosts were so friendly, beautiful location, so clean and had everything we needed. Seamless checking in and out and the hot tub was amazing to have. We definitely would love to stay here again.

The cabin was in a quiet secluded spot, if a relaxing peaceful break was what you were after then Celyn's Cabin is for you.

It was well kept and clean, the welcome hamper was a very thoughtful touch, some wine, tea, coffee, milk, crisps and some lovely Welsh cakes to enjoy. The owners had also put together a welcome pack that told you all about the farm it was situated on and gave you some information about amenities in the surrounding villages, overall a well thought out, helpful touch. Our only small negative would be the bed was a bit hard and creaky, but then again some people like a hard mattress so wouldn't be a negative for some. But overall a quiet, relaxing, clean place and the hot tub was fantastic too!

Absolutely beautiful location and everything you could think off needed was left for you and the welcome hamper is such a lovely idea!

We really enjoyed our stay.

The view from the cabin was lovely, despite brown fields from the recent heat waves. We liked having the horses and cows in front of the cabin, we met a shy farm cat, and there were plenty of birds to watch and listen to. The cabin is well-positioned, providing privacy from the cabin next door. At one point, we contacted the property owner by text to let them know that a light wasn't working. They replied within minutes and when we returned from our day out, the issue was resolved. We were really pleased with their handling of it. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

We have just spent 4 nights at celyn to celebrate my birthday and we were not disappointed!

The layout of the cabin is excellent with plenty of space and storage. The kitchen area is fully equipped with appliances, equipment and utensils. A lot of thought has clearly been put in, as it even included products such as dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods. The bathroom had ample space and the shower was amazing, the water pressure was excellent. The bedroom was comfortable and cosy with little cubby's either side with plug sockets to charge phones and light switch for over head lights. Outside of the cabin has also been well thought out and although there is another cabin to the right of celyn and the owners house further right over the field, the layout provides enough privacy and space between that it feels secluded. The hot tub was amazing and was nestled between the cabin and the outer wall/trees which was extremely peaceful to relax in. On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack and an information pack with instructions for all appliances and contact numbers for owners. As mentioned the owners live over the field but they allow for privacy, we met and had a lovely chat after guests in neighbouring cabin had left (which was on our 3rd morning), where it was mentioned that they check on the hot tub (chemical levels) early in the mornings, we hadn't even noticed! Some reviews had mentioned cats, they do have working cats on the farm so they can come over but they runaway as soon as you move towards them, we had cooked some chicken so one had come over as could smell it - we are cat lovers so we were quite happy watching him sniff around, but as we approached him he ran off. They dont hang around too long and they wont come close. We would recommend a stay in cabin celyn to anyone and everyone and will definitely be returning.

A delightful gem of a cottage hidden away but central for exploring North Wales.

The idilic views and tranquil setting are must for those who truely want peace and quiet. Although travel to and from main roads was along single track country lanes we only had to reverse a short way to a passing point on a couple of occasions. In all an ideal location with lovely hosts and a memorable holiday had by us.

This place was wonderful peaceful and out of the way just what i needed.

Great base for days out as well will definitely recommend it.

We stayed for a week and it is the most beautiful place , the cabin is done to a very high standard and would recommend to anyone who is wanting a remote quite relaxed break, 5 star all round andy & Donna

The cabin and layout is wonderful, located in a secluded spot of the countryside.

Seeing the cows and horses was lovely, completing the idealic countryside escape we were looking for. Accommodation was clean and spacious. Peace and tranquility enjoyed during our stay. Not far from key places to visit, and plenty to see and do in the area. Happily recommend to friends and family.

The property was perfect, with absolutely amazing views.

The lodge was lovely and clean. However, there was a loud scratching noise during the night, around 2:00–3:00am, which woke us up each night and affected our sleep. This was disappointing and impacted the overall stay.

This is a fabulous little lodge with wonderful hosts.

The under floor heating means it is cosy even in the coldest of conditions, it was -5C on our first night. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen/lounge is well equipped and the shower is easy to set and maintains temperature. Owners were good enough to pick us up from Ruthin when we arrived as it had snowed and we would have struggled to get our car up to the lodge with the road conditions.

The cabin was so lovely &very tranquil, we had the most wonderful time.

Property spotless, so well thought-out and equipped with everything you need. Also some great extra touches including a generous welcome hamper and a very helpful information pack. The location itself is so peaceful, and the views are incredible - especially from the hot tub!

Real farm animals are fantastic to watch whilst your chilling. We loved our stay the only thing that could have been provided was a fan as it was very hot at night. Hot tub lovely too.

We have just returned from a 4 night break at Celyn and we have had a wonderful break.

We feel refreshed, and recharged, just upset we couldn't have stayed longer. The cabin is in a beautiful location, nothing but fields and hills to gaze over. The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and I mean spotless! There was a much appreciated welcome basket and even milk in the fridge. The shower is powerful with lovely hot water, and the hot tub is just what you need after a full day exploring. On return, we could not understand why the cabin has not received 5 stars. We have read through, and would like to give our findings to help future bookings. It is mentioned that the lights are too bright. This is often the case in holiday lets as they have to cater for everybody. For many people with eyesight problems, shadows can be troublesome and need good lighting. We used the lamp in the lounge area and the lighting underneath the kitchen cupboards and we found that was perfect for us. Another comment was the small amount of beverage and dishwasher tablets provided. Having stayed in many holiday lets, it is VERY rare that owners provide much at all. Some do leave dishwasher tablets, but again not all. When we visited, Celyn had a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge, tea bags, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, cleaning equipment, bin bags, Hand wash, Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash. We have NEVER had so much provided by owners in previous stays, anywhere. Someone also mentioned the cats. We did have a visit at the window from a beautiful cat. However, if you went outside it ran away. We guessed it was a working farm cat? Not necessarily the owners cat, it could belong to a neighbouring farm. Cat's do their own thing and them choosing to visit a holiday let is something that could not be avoided by any cat owner. So, if you have allergies or don't like cat's, then maybe you should consider a different property. But, we were not impacted by a cute little face at the window. Another mention was that the headboard was squeaky, we did not experience this at all. The bed was comfortable with crisp white bedlinen. When we first opened the bedroom door we were greeted with the beautiful smell of fresh bedlinen - perfect! Another review detailed that the cabin was smaller than expected. The cabin is not huge, but we found it perfect for the two of us. You have lots of room in the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge. The bathroom is a good size and we thought the shower cubicle was a generous size. You can walk around the bed with ease and there is a good space under the bed to store cases. All in all, we found Celyn exceptional. There has obviously been a lot of thought into the design. It is VERY well equipped, finished to a high standard, and is in an absolutely beautiful location. I hope that this review can reassure anyone wondering whether to book or not. Honestly, you will not be disappointed!

Nice welcome basket on arrival. The lodge was very clean, with lovely views and perfect for watching the night sky. The only thing we found, (only a little thing) we could have done with some hooks in the bedroom for dressing gowns. Whilst staying we travelled to walk up Snowdon, had a walk around Brenig reservoir, walked the Jubilee tower circular, Ruthin two river circular and visited the coast. The Hot tub was perfect to relax in, was always clean and maintained it's temperature. We travelled as a group of 3, and made the sofa bed up every day. Whilst it does sleep up to 4, it would definitely suit 2 people more due to storage. We would definitely return if we came back to the area.

Absolutely lovely cabin, in peaceful surroundings and a lovely hot tub to enjoy all to ourselves.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this as a couples retreat, but personally, would struggle with more than two occupants (this comment, I know is personal preference). So lovely to open the curtains and see the animals in the field outside. Cabin had everything we needed to make for a really relaxing week.

This was one of our best family stays.

Our two boys loved the place. The welcome package was a lovely touch. We forgot to get butter but my partner messaged the hosts and within half a hour they came to drop some of for us and welcome us to the cabin. The cabin it self is perfect location just so peaceful away from all noise pollution. We sat in the amazing hot tub watching the swallows fly about across the rolling green hills. The first morning we was greeted by the two horses on the farm which came right over to my little boy and let him stroke his head which made his day. Great trip to remind us why we love the Welsh countryside.

Everything you could want and more! Spotless and clean in the most beautiful of settings. So peaceful! Love the animals. Had a lovely relaxing few days away in the hills of Wales. Sad to leave! Also the bed is quiet frankly the comfiest I've ever stayed in!

Was more suited to a couple, not a family of 4, the sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

Also some fans provided would be useful as it got very hot at night

Fabulous lodge.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The welcome basket was a lovely touch as well. A peaceful serene location overlooking a field of cows and rolling hillside. Relaxing in the hottub with a beautiful view, amazing. Well located to visit the surrounding area. Just minutes from town yet in the middle of the countryside. The owners didn't bother ys once but were available if needed. Five stars. Will definitely be back again, soon hopefully

Absolutely fabulous little cottage for 3 nursing friends who really needed a short break away!

We stayed for two nights, its so lovely. Everything you need is in the lodge. Hot tub was heated & ready to go on arrival :) we met the lovely owners, gave the resident cows some cwtches, walked down to the local pub for food & had a laugh with the locals.. and managed to hitch a lift up the hill with a lovely neighbouring farmer! What a laugh & such a quiet, beautiful area. We were lucky with the weather. The hamper was wonderful too and such a lovely touch, will definitely be back! Diolch, gan Lania, Sarah & Kim.

This property is fantastic.

I have had many self catering holidays but Celyn is by far the best. Everything was thoughtfully provided and to a high standard. It's so nice to have proper mugs provided for a proper cup of tea and more than one toilet roll plus some things that I didn't even realise I needed. Thank you

What an incredible business this is. I have 0 faults and no improvement pointers to offer. This lodge is 100% THE best place I have ever stayed, worth every penny… The facilities were out of this world and everything was exceptionally well thought of, didn’t struggle to do anything as everything was provided, and everything was super clean and tidy. I have no words to describe the hot tub, a key highlight for my stay, for sure! Stunning views surround the lodge, and can even get close to the farm animals… We even made a feline friend! Already looking forward to my return, hopefully very soon.

The welcome basket is so thoughtful. It is lovely and private and not busy traffic. It’s very easy to find as well. The hot tub is fabulous! It’s absolutely gorgeous looking out onto the hills. I loved seeing the cows one night, we hadn’t seen any for the week, they’re my fave animal so was on the look out, it made my week! It’s so clean and convenient absolutely everything you needed. Absolutely perfect!

!! We spent 4 nights at this gorgeous accommodation for my partners birthday! I paid extra for it to be decorated on our arrival and it was done beautifully! We had everything we needed & everything was clean. If we needed anything it was brought to us in minutes and nothing was too much to ask for. We used to hot-tub every night, even on the first night we arrived when it was -3c! We loved it! Couldn’t thank you enough for a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful stay. We will be back! We had a beautiful stay, exactly what we needed for a retreat away.

Only feedback I’d say is to specify there is no central heating, whilst the log burner certainly provides enough heat for the accommodation, if you don’t have a knack for making and maintaining fires, You would potentially go through a lot of logs etc. all of which come at an additional cost, other than a few that are initially provided. Everything else was great though, facilities were brilliant and hot tub was amazing! We also found the contacts to be very helpful whenever we needed help and never had to wait long for anything. They did also check to see if we knew how to get a fire going, which would be helpful for people who are new to it, so not a total negative on that aspect. Little touches were lovely, amenities provided, welcome basket and also smart TV with access to Netflix etc. all perfect for a retreat away from the kids! Ha! Definitely coming back!

We both had a great time there,treated the Mrs to a birthday weekend and she loved it,very clean and the underfloor heating was a bonus when we came in from the hot tub,10 out of 10.

Had a wonderful stay, we arrived to warm and cosy lodge with everything we needed.

The welcome basket was a delightful bonus. We woke up to piece and quiet and the only company that we had were the cows, chickens, pheasants, horses and cats. Spent every evening in the hot tub. We lit the log burner because of a wet day but didn’t need to because it was so warm and cosy. I would Recommend this lodge to anyone and I will definitely be returning. My only little gripe was the bed / mattress dipped in the middle but everything else was wonderful

Booked this for my parents for my dad's 70th.

They had the loveliest time and couldn't fault the property at all. They said it was such a beautiful location and even had a few ducks join them for breakfast on the last day. Views are gorgeous

Great long weekend stay.

Enjoyed every minute didn’t want to leave to go back to reality. A perfect relaxing quiet stay. Lovely views and scenery especially looking out at the fields and animals whilst you’re in the hot tub. Lodge was spotless and loved the freebies was a great personal touch. Not far from things to do in the day and plenty of restaurants near by if you want a trip out. Will definitely be returning!

It was everything we expected and more!

We were welcomed by the cows upon arrival and we were fortunate with the weather, meaning we were able to enjoy the BBQ for dinner. A clear night also meant we were able to watch a beautiful sunset from the hot tub! The hosts are clearly so thoughtful which was evident through the fresh milk in the fridge, the hamper and all the information leaflets and review book - these helped us to decide which route to take up Snowdon and where to buy the most delicious fresh milkshakes! Thank you so much for the most relaxing and tranquil getaway. Will 100% recommend to others and would absolutely come back myself!!

Celyn is a real home from home, with everything we ever needed, with the bonus of the hot tub, and also the unexpected wildlife (a hare, and 3, red legged grouse!). Walk in to a welcome basket filled with Prosecco, crisps and cakes. In the fridge you find butter and milk, only thing the kitchen needs cheese greater, whisk e.g. I ask if could send you banners as we was celebrating our 10 year anniversary was so nice you go out your way put them up for us and nice surprise for my boyfriend. definitely recommend and be back in the future. A lovely secluded getaway, with beautiful views.

The lodge had everything needed and was tastefully decorated. It was helpful to have a washer/dryer to be able to spin swim wear after using the fabulous hot tub. It was a nice touch to have local butter and milk in the fridge and some prosecco, crisps and cake in the welcome basket. Worth mentioning that there is a hairdryer provided, as well as hand-wash, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, dish washer tabs, washing liquid and sponge, salt and pepper and a pack of cards and games and anti bac wipes. All these things I had taken with me, but really appreciated them being supplied. I returned home feeling really relaxed and refreshed.

Beautiful location and great facilities. The care package was a really nice touch. Need more dishwasher tablets as 1 wasn't enough. And even thought there is a washer and dryer could have done with extra towels. One for showering and 1 for htotub. Really likesd the netflix such a little addition but fantastic. Couldn't recommend enough already told family and friends.

We stayed here for 4 nights, during a lot of rain (of course), and it was still gorgeous and a lovely break; the covered hot tub was perfect to relax in in the rain whilst listening to the rain drops on the roof, the washing machine was great for washing our soaked clothes, and it was just such a lovely space to relax in.

Perfect location too and the cabin was spotlessly clean with everything you could need for a relaxing time away.

Although a little out of the way it actually worked well for us and we enjoyed the privacy it afforded. The 20 minute walk to the local pub was a little challenging but overall I Would recommend to anyone! Thank you.

A long weekend was not long enough, myself and my partner had a great time with many memories made.

The setting of the lodge and views are amazing, the hot tub was excellent to appreciate the view.

We spent a week in this cosy cottage.

The views are fantastic and there are some good walks to do starting from the cottage itself. We would recommend visiting Ruthin, Mold and Snowdonia which are all within driving distance. A very peaceful location to have a week away from city life!

Wonderful 3 nights The most perfect new year ever!

Lovely property, clean fresh with everything you could want.

Hot tub was a gorgeous extra. Only disappointment was the Red Lion pub (which is a lovely 20 minute walk away). The food was like something from the 1970s straight from the freezer and the curry which we had heard good things about was average at best. If you go there we would recommend just having a drink and enjoy the lovely walk there and back.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful break.

We were very impressed with the facilities in the lodge and enjoyed using the Woodburner and the hottub. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. It was an excellent base to go out and explore North Wales. We even made some furry friends who came to visit us each morning. Highly recommended and would love to come back!

Lovely stay at this cosy cabin.

Location is excellent with lots of near by walks. Facilities are great with everything you would need. I cooked three full meals whilst here. Hot tub is lovely and well maintained with lovely views. The added extra of a welcome basket is a nice personal touch, we would highly recommend and would certainly return.

Absolutely stunning property, very clean and smelling nice.

Tastefully decorated throughout, every detail was considered when cooking and cleaning up afterwards. Cows very inquisitive in the field and all the other wildlife were a joy to see. We had several visits from the farm cats, but they soon left when they realised the occupants weren't really cat people. Hot tub was just perfect to soak away life's aches and pains. Narrow lanes can be a little challenging to get to the property, and the sat nav will take you the shortest route ( but not always the best) Perfect base to go exploring all North Wales has to offer.

The lodge is exceptionally clean with all modern amenities and fitted out to a high standard, making for a very comfortable stay. The hot tub is great for relaxing in and enjoying the views. The lodge is in a great spot for exploring Snowdonia and the North Wales coast.

We had a wonderful stay at Celyn - a cosy cabin that’s the perfect base to get out and explore.

The hosts were so helpful - their cats and dogs tend to visit the cabin and with allergies in our party, that made things temporarily more difficult; but they immediately found a solution for us. The outside area is particularly lovely - the views are beautiful, and the hot tub is really big. Our only constructive feedback would be that the lighting is much too bright in both the bedroom and the living area; it would be nice to have either a dimmer switch or the ability to control half the lights at once (as there are many LED spotlights!). The headboard is also very rattly, but the bed is otherwise comfortable. Thanks again for a wonderful time!

Just everything about this cabin was amazing, down to the detail and the work they have put in to it is just amazing.

We booked Wern Meadows to celebrate my sons 10th Birthday as a treat.

When we arrived we were in awe of how beautiful it was, we had a lovely hamper waiting for us, We had an amazing time and the views were to die for, the farmer and his family were very accommodating, and made our stay special, we had two little black cats come to the cabin which my 10 year old son loved feeding and even made one Diego. We had the two dogs playing football with us. On a evening we would enjoy the jacuzzi and relax. We will definitely return. P.s the people in Wales are really friendly and made us feel really welcome. Thank you for our amazing trip to Wern Meadows.

The lodge was a bit smaller than we expected, and we would have been grateful for some more teabags and dishwasher tablets for our week long stay. We had daily visits from three cats and a dog which were all very friendly and made us feel really at home. The bbq is also a lovely touch. We would highly recommend staying here.

The property was immaculate, and in an amazing location with views out of this world.

The hosts were very welcoming from the minute we got there until the minute we left. They went above and beyond from the welcome pack to a little gift left outside the door for my husband as it was his 50th. We loved relaxing in the hot tub watching the sun go down. Definitely recommend staying here and look forward to going again.

The lodge was immaculate on arrival, the lovely couple had left a welcome hamper and even milk and butter in the fridge. Our daughter loved seeing all the animals every morning, especially giving the 2 cats milk every day

The lodge is stunning and the hot tub is perfect for relaxing after going for a walk all day.

The welcome hamper was a sweet touch, thank you. The views are amazing and the bed is super comfy. The owners have thought of everything and we will definitely be returning. Heads up for all who go, do not turn right in your car out of the lodge unless you have a 4x4, sure we nearly lost the bottom of the car at one point, much to my amusement maybe not so much my partners lol. Highly recommend this property

Absolutely fabulous!

We were blown away when we arrived - the lodge, surroundings, views, wildlife, furry friends who came to visit - all beautiful. To top it all, the fantastic hot tub, perfect for chilling and taking in the scenery. The owners have thought of everything with every need catered for and a very generous welcome pack, thank you. You have done a great job of making a perfect haven in idyllic surroundings. Very highly recommended and we will definitely return.

What a fantastic place to stay; the lodge was perfect, clean, and very relaxing.

The views were lovely, and the walks nearby very nice; I recommend the Red Lion pub a mile away, the landlord and landlady were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning this year.

Had an excellent 4 days the property was amazing the views were amazing lots of walking and local towns and then to come back after a long day to relax in the private hot tub was fantastic would highly recommend this property

This is immaculate, the photos are wow and the property in real life is a bigger wow factor!

We loved our stay, everything was thought out from the welcome hamper to the facilities outdoors too, wish we booked for longer! The only feedback I would say is the headboard was creaky everytime you rolled over in the night it would wake you up, the mattress was amazing though we will be getting one of those for home! The TV in the living room seemed to keep turning itself off I don't know if it was due to the weather as it was very windy? Other than those little things it was absolutley superb we could easily live in that, we can't wait visit again! 10/10
