Brilliant

The accommodation was not clean on arrival , cobwebs in bedroom, dirty toilet in main bathroom and kitchen area not completely clean.

There wasn’t enough crockery for how many the accommodation was designed for. The internet kept dropping on the TV connection. The facilities in the spa were disappointing, the hot tub was cold, as was the pool but the pool wasn’t such an issue but a cold Jacuzzi wasn’t acceptable. The Steam room was broken and the sauna wasn’t particularly hot. Some of the machines in the gym were also out of order. We couldn’t get a space in the restaurant ( as hadn’t booked) so we ate in the sports bar but at 8pm another family came in and was told the kitchen was closed for the sports bar and there was no availability in the main restaurant, this was very disappointing to hear as if we’d been a bit later ourselves we wouldn’t have been able to get dinner? We stayed at this place as was doing a Snowdon climbing challenge but had we been going for a spa break or more luxurious break I would have left on the first day and requested a refund. Any kind of compensation for this unsatisfactory stay would be appreciated. Thank you Debbie

Was meeting a friend I had not seen in a long time. Booked because it was dog friendly. We were upgraded to lodge 68 on arrival. We were welcomed extremely well. On entering the lodge our initial thought was the outside could have done with a sweep. Cobwebs thick and hanging from the roof and outside furniture and windows dirty plus the path was covered in peacock and rabbit poo. I know we were in the great outdoors but thought that would have been swept before our arrival. Inside was amazing at first glance but as we were unpacking we had a lot of spiders to remove throughout the lodge along with cobwebs and quite a few marks where spiders had previously been squashed. No utensils to cook in the microwave or bowls to make up a salad just the basic plates bowls and mugs. We asked at reception for a corkscrew but was told you didn't supply because of safety reasons yet there was a block of knives! An ice bucket but no tray to make ice and freezer section of fridge was iced over. There were 2 dried up chips in the microwave when we came to use it. At bedtime as I pulled down my quilt I noticed a few old stains on the sheet so as I was only using one side I spun it round. When stripping the bed on departure, the protective mattress cover was badly stained so were a few pillows. Window sills were dirty so were the skirtings. And finishing touches were poor eg toilet roll holders loose, lights in bathroom badly fitted leaving big holes (where the spiders were coming down from) I'm a camper so these things didn't ruin my stay, but maybe a little more attention to detail from housekeeping and maintenance as it did bother my friend who came to visit me. Staff were amazing. A special thankyou to zack in the sports bar. We wanted a nice meal on our last night and could only take the dog in the sports bar to eat. Menu down there wasn't as fine as we would like and didn't want to have sports sounds as our background noise. Zack did his best to get the upstairs menu for us but wasnt allowed so ordered us a dog friendly taxi to a place he recommended and also checked it was dog friendly to eat there. Zack, you were right, food was amazing. Thankyou. This may seem like a huge moan but it's just attention to detail. As I say it didn't spoil my experience, I camp under canvas but my friend I was treating to the stay sadly wasn't so impressed.
