The Blacktail

This is our 2nd stay at llanerch park, nice & quiet, accommodation very good.

Makes for a relaxing & enjoyable holiday. Property has everything we needed. Highly recommended.

The lodge was very clean and comfortable.

I would point out though that newer, cleaner bedding should be provided. The pillows and quilts have seen better days. I did write a review on owners paper slip, but didn't get time to mention bedding as we didn't notice until I stripped the beds for them. The toilet brushes need replacement, wouldn't have them in my house. All other internal aspects were great. Patio area where hot tub was needs pressure wash and decking broken in some areas. The hot tub control panel didn't work. We reported this to Matt, who said replacement had been ordered. Not fixed while we were there. My husband had to operate the tub using inside the panel. Not best practice. Luckily he knew how. When working only 2 of four jets worked. Used it as it was anyway. Couldn't use the BBQ because it was filthy. Cheap enough to replace I think. If these minor, cheap to fix issues were completed, then I would return in the future.

Great value for money.

All as expected. We enjoyed our mini break. We also left something at our cabin and staff were so accommodating getting it back again. Would come again with more family

lovely stay with visits to cathedral for carol service and midnight service on Christmas eve very handy for tweed mill

This is our second time here we love this place hopefully we will book for next year .

Sadly we didn't get because one of our dogs had to have emergency operation due to unforeseen accident.

The way Sykes and more so the accomodation owner handled this I would definitely not recommend to anyone We tried to move to a more convenient date, allowed me to book on your site but the owner wouldn't budge. Some excuse about losing money I even offered to pay an additional £100 on top of what we had already paid, owner didn't even have the courtesy of responding to my text, where apart from the emergency operation I also explained I had lost my job thru redundancy so to move it would have been a good tonic Your staff mentioned that if change happened within 6 weeks of arrival it would normally be met with a NEGATIVE response from the owners Maybe you should add that into your T&C's, am sure people would be more tempered to take insurance if they new that For the record the operation was a ruptured ACL and the dog could not walk and her quality of life seriously impacted Apart from this review I will be adding this to Trust pilot that's how strongly I feel as to how this was handled

This was a lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings, The actual accommodation was spot on, lovely and clean and had everything you needed with just a little bit more☺️ the little wooded area near the cabin was perfect for an evening stroll with our elderly pooch, he loved it.

Would definitely recommend to others, my only gripe and it is but a small one, was the sofa, it was ok but had definitely seen better days and for some including myself was a bit difficult to get up from but other than that it was perfect and we would definitely look to book again☺️

We had a lovely stay.

Lodge was large with everything you needed. A quiet location right next to a golf course and shopping centre. Great sized enclosed outside space and hot tub. Fabulous for my dog. Thank you for a lovely 6 days

There was no lake as advertised the walk in the forest was small, stuff needs to be moved when cleaning due to spider webs behind sofa and in windows, for the price we paid for the week I would not pay that again very pricey for the location and dust in all rooms and moss outside like the place is being not looked after.

main room was smelly and sofa way to low lime scale on taps in bathrooms.

The outside of accommodation guttering needs cleaning the gazebo over the hottub needs moss taking of the patio was dirty.

The cooking facilities were basic the bed mattresses needs replacing you can feel the springs .stayed with sykyes in the isle of wight last year with hottub that accommodation was immaculate and a very high standard would go back their a better experience

Lovely little cabin tucked away in a quiet holiday park, clean and cosy with more than enough facilities.

Nice private area for hot tub and plenty of room for couples or small family. Highly recommended

First impressions Grubby, really grubby.

Issues with the state of the kitchen equipment, microwave unusable, filthy toaster and smelly oven and slimy oven pan. Dirty food bottles and open packets of food in cupboards. Manager pretty useless, and not very pleasant. I have photos which I’m more than happy to provide. Help came after a few hours and the following morning. Things were sorted, brand new microwave and toaster. But by then the bad feeling was already here. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, it’s sad though because the area is perfect and it’s tidy outside. Perfect area for the dogs. We were told that “this is not a 24 hour place” which is a shame if there’s a problem after 6. I am also complaining to Sykes Sykes you need to give the opportunity of speaking to people not through messages or emails, but by telephone

Great little spot.

The welcome book could do with updating, it was a bit miuddley. There was no information about local shops or facilities only emergency services. Also, the Wi-Fi password was written on a scribbled bit of paper which we found eventually. They are only mild suggestions. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the lodge was well equipped, was lovely and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

The tv remote needs new batteries and the sofa could do with being replaced as it is uncomfortable and very hard to get up off but other than that we will be booking up again ok but the blacktails lodge was more than acceptable for the two of us and the dogs

Everything was clean, worked and the staff were very friendly. Would 100% recommend.

Brilliant place and easy to get to, only issues was was that with hot water going cold after turning it on but when the owner came out there was a boiler issues but other than that it was perfect and would highly recommend again.

Beautiful place so quiet enjoyed our stay there all enclosed for the dogs so they couldn’t get out

Possibly the best lodge we have stopped at.

Soooo clean. Everything you need. Peaceful location. Enclosed hot tub was lovely and private. Great location as a base to tour local beaches. Village chip shop, tasty and realy good price.
