A comfortable, quiet property well situated to just relax or explore east Yorkshire and the coast.

Excellent if you have impaired mobility as there are only 3 steps to access the property which is all on one level. Note the sat nav is not accurate for the last half mile - just follow the sign.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful luxury cabin in North Yorkshire.

The setting was incredibly peaceful and tranquil, making it the perfect place to escape and unwind. The cabin was cosy, stylish and well equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. We loved the stunning surroundings and would happily return for another peaceful getaway.

Excellent facilities, very clean and comfy beds in a beautiful quiet location. Malton, Pickering, Scarborough, Filey, York and Harrogate were easily accessible. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Wonderful week at the showhouse at Bulmer Farm.

Very quiet location but short drive to Malton. A lovely spot to observe wildlife in the mature woodland surroundings. The lodge was very well equipped and maintained. It was clean and comfortable. Check in easy and communication with owners easy and supportive. I highly recommend. Thank you

A lovely lodge in a quiet farm location ideally situated for mid-Yorkshire and trips to York and the coast.

The lodge is generally well equipped although short on some crockery and cutlery items. It is very comfortable, well laid out and provides for a relaxing holiday location. It is in need of some general maintenance, particularly the decking, but is otherwise very good.

We had a nice relaxing stay at this beautifully maintained, clean lodge with everything you could possibly need, minus brush and pan, but may be we couldn't find them.

Kitchen easy to use,lovely walk in wardrobe. Patio needed some cosmetic care but provided a pleasant view,with pond and well attended birdfeeder. We were a little puzzled that we were the only ones there with only 2 other lodges that seemed empty. If you like peace and isolation this is for you, the only person we saw being a lost delivery driver! However it was a little too isolated for us and hadn't any communication with owners. About 2 miles down a straight farm road is the WW2 Eden museum,well worth a visit.

It was quiet and peaceful - just what we needed, but with plenty of local attractions on those days when we did want to go out.

It was a lovely stay at the lodge nice and peaceful great area for tourists The lodge is pretty hidden away, but that’s what we liked we would definitely go back

This is the second time of staying in the lodge and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent there.

It was clean and well appointed in a location that was totally relaxing. It is central to everywhere we visited using the main roads. It is on our list to rebook in the future.

Bulmer Farm Lodge was wonderful.

Tranquil, beautiful location, and John and Barbara were very welcoming. John also helped us with lots of ideas of places to visit in the local area. Perfect place to stay if you’d like to get away from the hustle and bustle, while being very convenient for Malton, York, and the beautiful beaches at Sandsend and Runswick Bay, Whitby and Scarborough.

The most peaceful place we have ever stayed the only sounds you will hear is nature and there's plenty of that.

I am 67 years old and last week saw my first woodpecker.

We had a lovely week staying at the lodge which was very spacious and homely , everything you could need for your stay was available , we enjoyed watching the wildlife daily, it was entertaining . This was our 2nd stay, just as we remembered it, home from home, so so quiet and peaceful, lots of birds etc coming for the bird feeder, even saw a woodpecker this year, very clean and comfortable accommodation, lots of space, sofas comfy and beds too, showers lovely, in the middle of nowhere but not far from everywhere you want to visit, we use the park and rides so much easier and cheaper, would highly recommend this lodge, we will return

The lodge was very spacious, clean and comfortable.

A lovely welcome pack tea, coffee, milk sachets and biscuits. The location of the lodge was perfect so peaceful. Enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder. Ideal location for visiting places nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

First time we've stopped in a lodge using sykes were you don't get any form of welcome package not even a pint of milk no hand wash or sanitiser or any cleaning products also dustbin had some rotting meat which gave off awful smell it's a shame as the lodge and location were first class

Just what we both needed after a difficult time recently,a lovely break in a peaceful location surrounded by wildlife.

One small issue..the extractor fan in the en suite shower room appears to have power but does not run..otherwise perfect. We will probably return.

Spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone who wants peace and quiet and enjoys watching birds and wildlife.

First tie staying here, lovely and spacious, clean and comfortable.

Spent the first few days in the lodge relaxing and watching the wildlife. from birds, moorhens, deer, and woodpeckers. everything was so relaxing and peaceful. I only have maybe one suggestion, for someone like my husband who is not very steady on his feet, it would be nice to have a grab rail fitted in the shower, he did slip once but because i know he is unsteady, i was in the bathroom with him and managed to steady him, had a grab rail been fitted, he could have used that. Other than that, the perfect holiday, thank you.

Nice quiet location, everything you need is provided including welcome pack.

Probably a little to remote for us, but not complaining. Good location for visting other ares Pickering in particular. This is not a criticism, but as we are elderly access into the bath would benifit from a handrail

A lovely & relaxing holiday was had by my Wife & I .

Plenty of wildlife to see, right on our doorstep , and this occupied quite a lot of our time at the Lodge. We both loved the ``Welcome Pack`` , and thought that this was a lovely gesture by the Owners of the Lodgers , John & Barbara . We were absolutely gobsmacked when we arrived.

The setting is beautiful. The interior is gorgeous. So many different birds, and a cheeky squirrel. The gift hamper was a lovely surprise. We loved every minute of our stay. So peaceful. We will return.

Beautiful lodge in the most tranquil setting lovely wildlife to watch from the decking overlooking the pond the welcome pack was very unexpected but what a lovely gesture , friend who came to visit was so impressed they are booking it if you’re looking for peace and quiet in the countryside this is it

Wonderful place

Our second visit to Bulmers Farm Lodge.

Loved the peace and tranquility and watching the little birds feeding on the decking. Enjoyed our stay but found the sofas really uncomfortable.

It is a nice property in lovely suroundings but 6pm check in is far too late.

In the information pack it asks you to enjoy the welcom pack but their was'nt one. Some radiators could not be opened and some light bulbs were missing or not working.

We had a well earned relaxing break.

Very quiet and peaceful location. Ideal for easy access to A64 and within easy reach to Scarborough,Filey, Whitby, Bridlington,and York. The property has everything needed for a self catering holiday and is maintained to a high standard.

Just had a lovely week in Bulmer Farm Lodge.

It was so peaceful and much thought has gone into the planting of an amazing variety of shrubs and trees around the lodge, with a large pond on which was nesting a pair of moorhens. The owner has sited a bird table with feeders on the veranda which was visited regularly by many birds, including the moorhen and a squirrel . The owners were very helpful and pleasant. Also well situated for local attractions. Will go there again. .

on entering the cottage the appearance was fair but did not smell clean or fresh\ entering.

The bedding was to be desired and appeared old and un ironed. The pillows were old dirty and thin, and the bed had 3 mattress topers. Didn't smell fresh at all. Bathroom en -suite toilet brush was disgusting holder was black inside slip matt in shower needs replacing. Pots and pans need a lot to be desired and we had to wash the pots and glasses before use. Some of the pans were unusable(roasting pan was beyond using) burnt food on the inside. It didn't look like the place had been dusted. Outside furniture table paint was peeling off , no parasol and only 2 chairs that went with the table. Although the location was idyllic the lodge left us very disappointed as we had been looking forward to going their for 2 years. We shall not be returning their again.

Great location for visiting the area.

The lodge is set in peaceful surroundings and we loved watching the wildlife. After reading other reviews, we expected the driveway leading to the property to be a lot worse than it was, we have a Fiesta & found it to be ok if we took it steady. On arrival there was a welcome pack of milk, butter, eggs, fresh bread & cookies.

Yes this is the 3rd time i have used Sykes to book a holiday.

.....It will be the last time. They are just an un-contactable, ripoff company. They charge to book the holiday, they charge to change a date, they charge a large amount to the owners of the properties, They will even charge you to return any items you inadvertently leave behind on leaving a property. Basically they sit on their butts and fleece as much as they can out of everyone.....Not from me anymore.

We really had a great holiday staying at Bulmer Farm Lodge.

It is situated in a super location, lovely and peaceful with great views and wildlife on your doorstep. It was also convenient for a lot of attractions in the area like Eden Camp & Flamingoland. Phil & Sam were perfect hosts, very helpful and friendly. We also highly recommend trying Phil’s meals, they were delicious.

The lodge is comfortable and the suroundings are great.

I would recomend it for a peacefull break. There is lots to do in the area and the wildlife is fantastic. Phil and Sam could not have made us more welcome. They can provide realy nice food if required, I would recomend that you try it. We have been there before and will go back next year. Five stars from us.

on the way to the property the lane is full of pot holes,which need to be filled in.

the property windows were really dirty inside and out and full off cobwebs,there was a mismatch of kitchen bowls and plates,in the bathrooms both the bathroom screens were dirty all the window sills were dirty, toilet seats old and warn, towels were old and warn and hard.The outside decking needed attention eg painting also the outside furniture was well passed its best. on the good side the location was great nice and quite. also no instructions left how to use eg cooker microwave.

Both my daughters and I had a very relaxing holiday.

The weather was lovely and Phil and Sam couldn't of done more to make us welcome,even taking our cases in when we arrived.Plenty of wildlife around especially the ducks and their chick's.Lovely villages and towns to visit.Would recommend this lodge for a chilled and relaxing holiday.

Was a great place for a quiet relaxing holiday.

We loved watching and listening to the birds at the bird feeder on the deck. Many thanks to Phil and Sam who made sure that we had everything that we needed. The only negative was the potholes on the access road so you just have to take it very slowly.

Bulmer lodge was very comfortable and spacious.

Our only criticism was the motley collection of crockery, wine glasses and saucepans. We didn't so much mind that they were a mishmash of items, but there just wasn't enough of it. You need at least 8 items of each for a family of four, otherwise you have to run the dishwasher after every meal which is a waste of water and electricity.

" It lived up to expectations completely and we were reluctant to leave. We would've gladly stayed for another week if it had been available. So peaceful and private, and you are so warmly welcomed and looked after.

We enjoyed the quietness and seclusion of the lodge.

.....The owners were very helpful and friendly. They presented us with a welcome pack on arrival containing basic essentials like butter milk etc. The surrounding area was very flat and rural, with plenty of bird life etc. The weather could have been better, but thats beyond anyones control. One small niggle was the access road leading down to the farm....It was heavily potholed and not very friendly on our cars suspension.

Whenever something exceeds your expectations, it's bound to be really good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and in these covid times the cleaning was most excellent

Everything was perfect , home from home , if one wants a peaceful location , this is the place , watching the stars with no light pollution was fantastic and not forgetting the wildlife i.

e. , Squirrels , Woodpecker , Blue tits , Robins , Jays and a Hawk etc.

Lovely peaceful cottage great location near the bustling market town of Malton which has many cafes, bars and great eating pubs.

Phil & Sam were great hosts and the in house catering was a definate plus we didnt anticipate but well worth the modest cost having restuarant quality food served in the lodge was fabulous. Will look forward to a return visit for sure

The holiday lodge was exactly what was described set in a tranquil park with excellent hosts which couldn’t be anymore accommodating and would recommend this to lodge to anyone.

What a lovely holiday we had - peace, quiet with beautiful views.

The lodge was immaculate with a very thoughtful welcome pack waiting for us with instructions to call on the owner for 'anything' at all that we needed. The lodge is perfectly placed for visits to the seaside or just to have a look around neighbouring villages like Malton and Pickering. The only fault, well if it could be called a fault, was the fact that we couldn't find any literature regarding the use of the appliances i.e. dishwasher, microwave and oven. If you want peace and quiet come here, the lodge is set in beautifully maintained gardens with lovely views across fields next to a wildlife pond with a balcony.

The inside is very spacious with two double sized bedrooms an on suite and main bathroom, it was very clean throughout we thought we were the first guests as it all seemed so new, the owner was very nice and said if we had any special requests he would organise them for us and that he was a chef and could cook for us a special meal if we wished which sounded very tempting. We also had milk from the farm, bread and butter, tea and coffee, and plums and apples from the trees. The double bed was quite firm but for us it was okay. We visited Castle Howard and the Walled Gardens at Scampston which we actually preferred, Malton is worth visiting if you are a foodie. We also walked both bays along the seafront at Scarborough and through Peasholm Park. In summary a great all round experience and we may well return
