The Leveret

Sadly we are writing this review from home as couldn’t quite work out if squatters rights applied to us!

Wonderful 5 days at the cabin, peaceful, comfortable and just beautiful. The cabin was super clean and everything from pans to tableware were top quality. We will definitely be back, already looking at booking again!

My partner and myself stayed here over the weekend and what a beautiful place, it has everything you need and more, its such a beautiful place inside and out, I really couldn't recommend this place enough, everything has been thought of.

If you want a peacefull get away the levaret is where you need to be this is our second stay for our anniversary just everything about it is beautiful we absolutely love it here the comfort and cleanliness is 100% owners are lovley so much wildlife to see, we asked for a special touch adding to the hut for our arrival when we arrived we were greeted with anniversary ballons and rose pettles 100% recommended to everyone and we carnt wait to come back next year

If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect place!

So peaceful and everything you need to switch off and relax. Laura was so responsive and helpful to messages, perfect host! I would 100% recommend, we will definitely be back soon.

Perfection!

!!!!! I loved my fairy tale stay. A first solo holiday since divorce and was everything myself and my vizsla needed. Walks, pubs locally, I chose to go horse riding too. The location is easy to find and putting you right into nature. I cannot tell you how much I loved my stay here. The hosts were perfection… I will be staying again very soon.

The cabin was in a fantastic, secluded and natural position.

Having no tv aloud you to really switch off and get back to nature. Bird lovers paradise. The cabin was small but perfectly formed and with the log burner, was nice and cosy while it was cold and raining outside! Being pet friendly, we were able to take the dog to enjoy it all too. The veranda being enclosed was a great feature. The wood fired hot tub is an excellent addition. We absolutely loved our stay and didn’t want to leave, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful, peaceful place to relax.

We had a wonderful stay here and would love to see the woods in every season. The cabin was so cosy and every detail was considered with care, especially for those bringing a dog. The owners could not have done more. We felt privileged to have stayed in this magical cabin and wood. It definitely felt like a childhood story, wind in the willows or the hobbit. We found a lot of peace and joy in having a quiet break at The Leveret.

We have just got back from a stay at the Leveret.

After visiting and staying in the other cabin in July last year, we decided to stay again. It’s been amazing, peaceful and relaxing in a beautiful place. The accommodation is definitely a ‘Mary Poppins’ experience, particularly perfect in every way. The cabin had everything to make it feel like home. The outside bathroom was an added bonus, a wonderful experience. We will miss the open fire, the tranquil setting and the animals that popped by to say hello. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us. We will be back. David, Claire and Bella the dog x

Beautiful rustic little cabin in the woods.

Really strong heat and hot water for being so remote feeling. Bed was nice, hot tub was amazing. Located in a woods surrounded by farmland, so very remote and private feeling. There is another cabin in the woods nearby but is far enough to feel private still. We had a great time and will definitely be back once there are leaves on the trees!

My girlfriend and I started here for three days with the dog and had a wonderful time.

Such a cozy little place and very well kept. The hot tub was the cherry on top and made our get away that bit more relaxing. Our hosts were tentative and very friendly constantly there to help us when we needed. We highly recommend this for nature lovers and dog owners looking for a peaceful few days away

An absolutely tranquil and idyllic stay — a little slice of heaven!

The shepherd’s hut had everything we could have asked for to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Everything was perfect; we couldn’t fault a thing. Already looking at dates to book again

Lovely tranquil property, very quiet and nature all around you, particularly beautiful with the autumnal colours and the neighbouring woodpecker was an added treat.

A real hidden gem that was both private but handy to local shops.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If you need somewhere to get a way from the stresses of modern life, this is perfect. Love the tranquility of the woodland, waking up to birdsong, it’s magical! For a small cabin, there is a lot of thought gone into things like the kitchen, storage and seating areas. The panoramic window is like a real life TV, looking out into the woodland. We look forward to returning.

We had an amazing stay at The Leveret!

The location is stunning and also within easy reach of local amenities. The walk through the fields to the village is beautiful, especially at sunset. Dog friendliness is a huge plus and our spaniel absolutely loved roaming in the woods but was just as happy relaxing inside. The owners even left him some treats upon arrival. The cabin itself is gorgeous, beautifully furnished and the bed is incredibly comfortable! The log burner is a lovely touch as well but the best thing about it is the remoteness, just sit and listen to the birds, light a campfire under the stars and you could sit there all night listening to the animals rustling in the trees. This place is a gem and really allows you to disconnect from the day to day. I would go again in a heartbeat, Can’t recommend enough!

We had a wonderful stay at the Leveret.

Super clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the owner was very quick to respond to a request. It feels much more private and remote than we anticipated, so really exceeded our expectations.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Leveret, cut short unfortunately due to my partner being unwell, but its a stunning little lodge set in beautiful woodland , with plenty of wildlife , and peace and quiet.

We will definitely be returning .

I've been here 3 times now and booked again for October Laura and Paul are amazing hosts and it is beautifully clean.

The woodlands are excellent and it is such a tranquil place. Nothing is too much bother for the hosts and they are always on hand for extra wood for the fire. I absolutely love this little sanctuary

I have spent a very relaxing four night break at The Leveret for my birthday, with my partner, surrounded by beautiful woodland, and nothing to disturb us except the birdsong as we sunk into the hot tub.

The cabin itself is wonderful, with a comfy bed, a cooker, fridge and a spacious porch where we spent most evenings just listening to the birdsong or playing cards. Amenities were only a 20 minute drive away to stock up on food, and we paid a visit to Mainsgill farm shop to see the camels and buy a few delicacies which was also only a short drive. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Me and my wife stayed at the levaret for the weekend for our anniversary and my birthday it was absolutely amazing very clean and cosy had everything you needed for a weekend break away very piecefull all day and all night hot tub was really clean and easy to use bed was really comfortable and the log burner inside the levaret was lovely owners were very polite to would 100% recommend to anyone and we hope to come back and stay again soon

Absolutely wonderful accommodation in a lovely woodland setting.

Peaceful and quiet and lots of wildlife to watch from the decking or the lovely viewing window. Hot tub an added bonus to enjoy the evening in warmth as the sun goes down. Would highly recommend and would love to return at some point.

This is the second time I've stayed at this peaceful, beautiful property and have already re-booked to go back again The setting is spectacular.

The hosts are amazing. The property is super clean with everything that you can possibly need. I just love being there and this couple have created the most peaceful, grounding environment I've ever visited. It is definitely going to be a regular haunt for me

Really enjoyable stay, in a lovely location away from the normal hustle and bustle of life.

Close enough to towns that you can both enjoy and also use amenities from. Owners very helpful and welcoming. Very private and the cabin is too a very high standard. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Loved our two nights in the leveret.

Would definitely recommend to anyone. A proper little gem. Even when we needed more logs for the hot tub it was no trouble for the owner to bring them down to us at 8.30pm on New Year’s Eve! Fabulous. Thank you x

This was my perfect getaway.

The location, accommodation and facilities were amazing. It was extremely clean and had everything I needed. It was so peaceful and the hot tub was a bonus Laura and Paul were amazing and brought me extra wood for the burner as soon as I asked. I'll definitely be returning

Beautiful place so relaxing the middle of nowhere just what we needed

The Leveret is a perfectly formed magical gem.

It surpassed our expectations and we had the most peaceful and relaxing short break. The pod had everything we needed and more. Sitting in the hot tub, completely surrounded by trees was a lovely experience. The full length window made us feel connected to the woodland while feeling very cosy and the sense of seclusion was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this delightful place.

Amazing property very scenic and relaxing would definitely do it again

The leveret was very comfortable and easy to navigate I would recommend it to anyone for a quiet and comfortable place

The Leveret was absolutely perfect.

Everything was great, the location and the beautiful woodland setting around the pod. It was very peaceful with only the wildlife around you. We had a fantastic 4 nights here with our dog. The shower room was beautifully done. The hot tub was excellent once you got used to heating it. The pod was well equipped. Our dog loved her wee biscuit treats. The only thing which would have been ideal would be a microwave. I know space is limited. We found some brilliant places to walk with our dog. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The cabin, the surroundings and the customer service was out of this world!! Perfect for a romantic get-away, or to go and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature, away from the stresses of phones and computers.So many different animals and creatures to spot. Cabin was warm and welcoming. Was just what we needed. Will definitely recommend!

Peaceful, quiet and relaxing which was just what was needed after a busy few months at work. Cabin was spotless, well maintained and all as advertised, hot tub once warm through the log burner was excellent and stayed warm for ages, toilet and shower block was excellent with towels and dressing gowns provided, shower very warm and flowed water well, bed was extremely comfortable and very clean, kitchen facilities were excellent with all equipment you needed for a short break. Outdoor BBQ fire pit was easy to use and get going,and the stuff you left for us to use for the our dog was greatly appreciated. Thank you , we really enjoyed it and have shared details with friends who will be booking up to stay as well. Highly recommended for any couple looking for a break away somewhere quiet peaceful and relaxing

! We had a perfect stay, the cabin was very clean and tidy. Everything we could have hoped for and more! Very cosy and relaxing sat around the fire and the hot tub was also very relaxing! Everything about this place was just perfect, wouldn’t have changed a thing. We will definitely be returning in the future!!

We've just returned from an amazing 3 nights here.

The bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was a real added bonus. The provision of bathrobes was also appreciated. However, the best thing was the peace and isolation. There is a further property in the wooded area but it is located at a distance that still gives you privacy. We did all our cooking on the firepit/BBQ (we just purchased more wood) and shopped locally for our food. The fridge is small so we restocked daily. We had a fantastic break here and would love to stay again at some point in the future. Thank you.

Oh my gosh, what a beautiful place this is, hidden in a remote location of Northern Yorkshire set back into the woodland The Leveret is tranquil and stunning, offering both a sky view shower and a outdoor wood fired hot tub you couldn't ask for more from this location.

With plenty of facilities and good placement to access local shops and farm shops, walks and historic sites this place really has it all, it has a sink, fridge, hob bbq and wood fire inside the cabin there is plenty of equipmentto see you thriugh your stay, i was even welcomed by chocolate marshmallows and prosecco. I loved it so much I even extended my stay. The hosts were so lovely, welcoming and accommodating 10/10 all round i will definitely be coming again. If your looking for peaceful get away somewhere you can be sure you'll get that here.
