Beautiful cabin in a great place for exploring with lots of quiet dog walks close by.

We had the most lovely stay at Eagles Peak.

The lodge was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our dog enjoyed it so much too, especially exploring all the surroundings, which made it even more special for us. Me and my partner absolutely loved our time there and didn’t want to leave. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy getaway.

So relaxing and the hot tub was fantastic.

We stayed in Eagles Peak which was an absolutely immaculate lodge with all the extras that you need for a really comfortable week’s stay all taken care of by the owners, Scott and Nicole.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again and would highly recommend. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and was very much appreciated, especially the chilled Prosecco and the yummy orange cake. The dog treats were a really nice touch, along with the doggie accessories which we used during our stay with our Labrador. We enjoyed spending time with Hettie and Ettie, the resident Blacknose Valais sheep who were so cute and playful. We also loved the horses, hens, ducks and ducklings. It was wonderful, we felt like we were on a mini farm. So nice for children to enjoy the animals. The hot tub was amazing and relaxing after a day out walking. If we could just mention two items worth considering for the lodge, they would be a nest of tables for the lounge and storage for clothes in the upstairs bedroom such as a chest of drawers. The rail was great, but somewhere to put underwear, tee-shirts etc would be a welcomed addition. Scott and Nicole have a perfect little holiday park and we wish them every success in their business going forward.

Enjoyed a week here with our teenager and 2 dogs and had an amazing time.

Lodge is beautiful, owners very responsive and a lovely welcome note, drink and basket. Very central to a lot of places to visit and would definitely recommend and go back again.

The hosts were so accommodating to any requests we had (which made a huge difference to us with a 6 month old baby & a large dog!). Accommodation was absolutely stunning & we will be rebooking a longer stay in November soon because we cannot wait to come back. Everything about this accommodation & surrounding area was perfect.

Beautiful location, next to a country road but this did not bother us at all.

Gated security site of 4 lodges, immaculately maintained. Comfortable, clean, home from home accommodation for us and our dog, offering beautiful country views and everything u need for a comfortable self catering holiday with a dog (& without a dog if u prefer). Accomodation includes a spacious lodge and hot tub for 4 people, with privacy planting, very well thought out so you can actually use the hot tub comfortably. A welcomepack of goodies for us and our dog which we welcomed, thank you to the owners, much appreciated. A full length mirror would be a welcome addition to the lodge. Everything thing else, lovely. There are chickens and 2 sheep in paddocks which we visited daily to feed which was a joy. Eggs from well kept hens to purchase were very welcomed. Lots to see and do in North Yorkshire and accommodation well situated to visit many places. Owners are very nice and helpful. We will return, we have a wonderful stay. This lodge was quite luxurious, very comfortable and equipped to a very high standard.

A great dog friendly place with a wonderful welcome basket for both human and canine visitors. It is in a great location near to Dalby forest and Thornton le dale but not too far away from coastal towns and Bempton cliffs. The local pub is nearby too

We stayed at Eagles Peak for week commencing 16th May, it was our first time and it most definitely will not be our last.

The lodge was very spacious clean and the hut tub was brilliant when coming back from a long day out. Our party included two dogs and they loved the treats and the field at the back was good for them to exercise first thing in the morning. Thanks for the fizz and cake and the tea, coffee and biscuits were a perfect touch.

Amazing property and fantastic stay!

Our third stay at the hideout lodges. Can’t wait to return to stay in the fourth lodge. Fabulous bathroom, extremely comfortable large beds, amazing hot tub and outdoor space and all the kitchen equipment and utensils you could wish for! A perfect stay.

We’re return visitors to Eagles Peak , and it won’t be our last , the standards are always high , the accommodation is beautiful with everything you need and that’s why we go back

Really enjoyed our stay at Eagles Peak, my comment's below are merely constructive criticism as we stay in lots of similar properties, what you have done here is superb & a credit to you both, what you have both achieved in such a short time is pretty amazing, the lodge cleanliness was second to none, the welcome pack was a real treat, clear signage for parking is a great idea, the boot room with ample shoe storage really helped.

The bed was very comfortable, the logs etc being available any time is a great way to do it, the eggs are gorgeous, the two sheep are lazy bones’s but gorgeous. The dog welcome treats are always gratefully received by a Labrador. Maintenance -TV remote the battery cover doesn’t stay on. - maybe just us but tv remote seamed very clunky & difficult to operate. -1 set of kitchen low level plinth lights not working. -Ground floor bathroom towel radiator the temperature control knob is snapped -1st floor toilet seat very noisy when closing. -Tasimo flashing requiring de-scale. Comfort -Sofas are not easy to relax on, kind of hotel lobby rather than cosying up, a couple of pouffes would really help. -1st floor toilet the seat cover does not open far enough so it closes on your back while trying to get up from the seat. -no where to store firewood, two baskets, one to put logs in and one for kindling would be good. - A pair of gloves for the fire would be helpful too. -Totally a personal preference but I do like to come to the countryside for the dark and to be able to see the stars at night but there is quite a lot of path lighting, maybe PIR operated or turn them off after a determined time? Please don’t take offence by any of the above, some of it is just personal preference, some things you need to spend a week somewhere to really trial it out, friends will never give you an honest review, I could have said nothing but I really want you guys to succeed so if just one of my points makes others have a better stay then that must be a good thing. The facilities were excellent and the cleanliness was everything you’d expect from a luxury property, but what made this stand out was the personal touches.

The welcome board, the tea/coffee hamper, the cake and Prosecco were all lovely touches. Absolutely up there with the best we’ve stayed at and would highly recommend.

Lovely property in a great location.

Ideal for exploring North Yorkshire. The super comfy beds ensured a great night’s sleep. The hot tub was a just what we needed after a busy day. Thornton-le-Dale is a beautiful little village and we especially enjoyed the quiz night, food and lovely welcome at The Buck Inn. Loved the Christmas decorations at the house and in the village. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Eagles peak, 4 adults, 2 dogs and a baby and we had plenty of room.

The lodge is exactly how it says it is, well finished and has everything there that you could possibly need. Hot tub and fire place were an added bonus to keep us warm on those cold evenings. The accommodation is in a perfect location for exploring the area, we went on a forest walk which is 5 mins walk away from the property. Whitby is half an hour away and Thornton le dale is definitely worth a visit which is just down the road. There’s also a pub just outside the lodge site. The site itself is well maintained and looked after with chickens, sheep, horses and ducks you can visit. Would definitely recommend and revisit again, had a perfect stay. And to top it off there was even a hamper for us on arrival. We can’t thank them even enough for a great stay.

Incredible week in Eagles Peak, we had two lodges next to each other and had an amazing holiday.

The lodges are immaculate, modern and provide everything you need and more. The luxury added touches really made a difference. We can't wait to return next year!

Perfect spot for exploring Yorkshire and the coast.

Clean and well kept lodge with a 3 minute walk to a friendly pub with fantastic food. We will book again.

Fantastic property which is very well equipped with modern appliance's, clean and well maintained.

Situated in a good location within easy reach of the coast, a friendly pub on the doorstep and nearby walks into Dalby forest. We would highly recommend a stay here and if we visit the area again we would definitely rebook.

What a beautiful lodge to stay in, good quality furnishings, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed etc.

Great location for exploring the coast and inland with wonderful walks on the doorstep. Tried a couple of the recommended eating places, both were very good. This was our second visit here and we will be back, thank you.

We had a wonderfully restful week getting away from the stresses and strains of life - every eventuality was catered for with lots of extra special touches that most holiday accommodation doesn’t include, especially the freshly laid eggs! Myself and my husband had the most amazing weekend at eagles peak lodge, it was a present for my husband birthday, everything about the weekend was perfect, what a wonderful surprise we got when we turned up, the lodge was fabulous, so clean, so cosy and comfortable, hot tub was amazing, everything about the weekend was perfect, thankyou so much, we will definitely be back and tell our family and friends

What a fantastic Lodge!

We stayed for New Year and what a place to start 2024. I would definitely recommend this property to stay at. Perfect location with so many gorgeous places to visit. The hosts couldn’t do enough for you, reapplied back to any questions we had. Our little boy loved being able to see the Hens and Horses and our dog has never been so relaxed. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing holiday cottage set in the perfect location for a Yorkshire coast and country escape.

Everything from the stylish open plan space, beautifully presented bedrooms and spacious bath, to the hot tub and loveliest bottle of Prosecco and cake on arrival was so well thought out and appreciated. The eggs down at the little storage space were worth it! We even brought some home with us. We brought our dog and it was our babies first holiday so super dog and baby friendly!! Can’t wait to come back

Everything very clean and well equipped for all our needs. The Prosecco and cake left for us on our arrival and the wonderful hot tub immediately made the slow eight hour journey from the south coast a distant memory. We definitely would love to stay here again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

A brilliant stay from start to finish.

I had to contact the owner a couple of times as they kindly put birthday decorations up for us on arrival. The owners couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a fantastic, peaceful holiday

Absolutely stunning!

We didn’t want to leave. It was very clean and smelt lovely. Plenty of fenced off space for the dogs to run around and do their business. The decking was very secure for both small and big dogs - our dogs are a patterdale terrier and a golden retriever. We will definitely be returning!

A wonderful stay at Eagles Peak.

Gorgeous setting with a very comfortable lodge plus everything you need for a relaxing break. Great hosts and in a lovely location. Have already booked to return!

Fantastic lodge, excellently thought out with fantastic facilities.

Finished to a really high standard and thought of almost everything! We had an almost 2 year old with us and a stair gate and fire guard were in place when we arrived along with a high quality high chair and cot. The weather was wet and cold the week we were there but that didn’t matter as the lodge was perfectly set up to just chill inside if needed. Hopefully we’ll make it back one day!

Great location, ideal for walking holiday or base for exploring the North Yorkshire area, very hand for the coastal towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood Bay.

Nice recently built large modern lodge with a great hot tub . Great pub food and drink right next door (2mins walk) with friendly owner and staff. Very helpful owners, hey were great in helping return an item to us that we accidentally left behind.

The welcome package was delicious. The location is lovely too. Plenty of interesting places to visit nearby.

Fantastic week spent in this well equipped, beautifully furnished lodge.

The owners have really thought about how to make you feel welcome with the little touches they provided like the welcome hamper. The hot tub was easy to use and with the outside speakers it was great listening to music that wouldn't disturb the neighbours. The pub next door was friendly and the food was great. We can't wait to book up again. Thank you Nicole and Scott for being great hosts. PS best entertainment was watching the chickens being rounded up. Keep an eye on them they are great escape artists.

What a beautiful lodge in a stunning area.

We had a great week with our two children aged 10 & 12. The lodge was very well equipped and the bbq and hot tub simple to use. A very generous welcome pack was waiting for us on arrival so between that, the pub next door and the beautiful farm shop along the road, we were never short of lovely food options. This was the perfect location to mix some quiet time with easy access to lots of beautiful walks and tourist attractions within 30-60 min radius. We will definitely recommend.

The holiday property was extremely well thought of, you could tell the owners put a lot of love into making their guests feel welcome and at home.

We have stayed at many lodges but this one is the most luxurious one ever, quality fixtures and furnishings throughout.

It was actually bigger than it looks in the photographs. We stayed for 4 nights, lots of welcome treats, including some for our dog, and gorgeous toiletries. Field right beside the lodge was great for our dog to explore, the decking area was secure for the dog as well. Very impressed by the sound system in the lodge, external speaker by the hot tub so didn’t interfere with other guests. Owner were lovely and helpful, responded quickly to a couple of questions we had. Highly recommend this lodge, fabulous location that we love.

The property is absolutely stunning and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub at the end of a day's walking.

The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom is extremely spacious with a fabulous walk-in shower. We will definitely look at coming back when we next visit North Yorkshire as it is in a very good location with good food served at the pub next door. Very well presented with everything you need to for a perfect stay. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Excellent communication with the owners. Would definitely recommend.
