Description

Resting in the rural village of Allerston in North Yorkshire, is this remarkable, detached holiday home, Foxes Den.

Benefitting from a bubbling hot tub and near the North York Moors National Park, this two-bedroom lodge is ideal for a group of four.

Upon arrival, be greeted by off-road parking and make your way inside through the French doors to unveil the open-plan living space.

Featuring vaulted ceilings and a woodburning stove, you can look forward to curling up on the sofa with a Smart TV to keep you entertained.

Stepping over to the kitchen, the designated chef will be thrilled with the oven and hob to rustle up tasty dishes and when dinner is served, dine together at the table, and uncork a bottle of fizz.

When the weather is warm, venture outside and unwind on the outdoor furniture or climb into your swimming attire for a soothing soak in the hot tub.

As the evening draws to a close, retreat inside and climb up the wooden staircase to the mezzanine bedroom with a king-size bed or choose the king-size on the ground-floor.

Begin your day with a moment of relaxation in the bathroom with a bubble bath in the freestanding tub or rinse off in the spacious walk-in shower to revive.

If you fancy a break from the kitchen, a short stroll will lead you to The Cayley Arms for a home-cooked meal or venture to the village of Thornton Dale for a crisp pint at a Georgian inn.

Jump in the car to visit the vibrant market town of Pickering, here you can browse independent shops for a souvenir, tour the ancient castle or if that's not for you head outside of Pickering for a scream at Flamingo Land Resort!

Avid walkers can take advantage of the close proximity of the North York Moors National Park to soak in the dramatic landscape on a hike or head to the coastal town of Scarborough, lined with arcades and traditional fish and chip shops.

The Foxes Den is a beautiful secluded hidden gem with beautiful views and well equipped facilities.

The little added touches were what made the stay even better. On arrival we were welcomed by a personal welcome sign, Cake, Prosecco, tea and coffee and juice. The fresh eggs from the farm hens and chickens are delicious. The lodge was immaculate and the hot tub was great. We loved visiting the animals on the site. We found the location to be very handy for local attractions such as Pickering, the steam train and we absolutely loved Thornton Le Dale. We will 100% be back, Thankyou for a lovely stay.

22nd May to 29th may 2026 What a fantastic week as Foxes Den This was our second time there, and it was even better than the last.

We had incredible weather and there is always plenty to see and do. It's always such a lovely place to come back to after a busy day exploring. We loved feeding the chickens & Ducks and Seeing the sheep, we had a little visit from Mr Toad and Mrs Owl too! We will definately be coming back for again, this is the best holiday accommodation we have stopped in yet! Thank you! Rachael, Liam and Lily
