Forest Star

The van inside was lovely and clean so couldn't fault apart from ripped nets.

outside was awful really dirty green moss and dirt everywhere. Alot of flies so couldn't eat in the van we had to buy some spray it got so bad. its not the owners fault but because of where it is next to tree's and fields I think that and the weather caused so many.

As a couple staying here from 26/7/25 - 2/8/25 we absolutely did enjoyed our first time at Cayton Bay, the caravan was very spacious, clean, we were in walking distance to all of the amenities and it was also very private.

We didn’t have an ironing board but we did manage without one. We would highly recommend and we would definitely return.

The property was clean and tidy but still has a wobbly dining table (as we stayed last year).

Shower mixer valve not working properly the water was either too hot (scolding) or too cold. No happy medium. On the day of departure we had not water at all. Otherwise we would give the property a better rating.

Forest star is set in a nice and quiet location.

The static interior is very nice. The outside veranda would be better with a small table and chairs so you could eat out. The rattan seating was very dirty and green with algae and the two camping chairs well worn. Good well equipped kitchen but didn't use the pans as non stick coating coming off. Bedrooms good and WC and shower okay. A small bedside lamp would be nice in twin bedroom. All in all a very nice week away . Thank you.

We had a lovely holiday in the static caravan every thing we needed was provided.

Nice touch milk in the fridge and coffee. Very comfortable bed and sofa to relax on in the evening Only trouble we had was finding the caravan on site on arrival

The property was excellent, clean and tidy on arrival with little thoughtful extras eg tea, coffee, sugar and milk.

However the dining table top was wobbly and needs attention. It's situated in a quiet area. Our short stay was really enjoyable and would book this property again in the future.

Would have given more stars but for the double bed comfort (sleeping on springs) the mattress needs changing.

Upon arrival we could not get into the property as there was no key safe even though we were given a key safe code and because we arrived late evening the reception desk was shut so luckily there was a phone number for security who happened to have the key.

Also we were given the wrong phone number for the owners so could not contact them but we didn’t know this any the time as the the phone number we were given we tried to contact and were ignored. There were also no instructions on what to do with bedding and the Kay at then of our stay. I also got the impression that we could arrive anytime after 3pm especially given a key safe code but when we finally got the key it was in an envelope with my name on and note from the owners saying check in was 3pm. This should be made more clearly on the Sykes website about check in and also I don’t know why we were given a key safe code when there’s no key safe. Again this needs to be more aware of for future guests. Once in the property it was clean and comfortable and everything you could need during your stay even some small sachets of tea coffee etc. We would stay here again.

Really enjoyed the holiday.

The only negative is that it is not stated that you need to buy passes for the entertainment. I double checked with sykes before I booked as on the website it stated there was nothing else to pay for and everything was included. When we arrived we were told we had to pay more than £100 for passes which I was told before I booked that we didnt need to buy. Not very good if you are budgeting for your holiday and find you have a lot more money to pay out out when you get there so your children can make to most of the holiday.

Lovely little caravan, a few minutes walk to the entertainment centre and tucked away from the hustle and bustle - perfect.
