“Lovely property with fantastic views over the fields, including sights of the NYR Heritage Railway.”

Quiet and peaceful with all the amenities that you need. Loads of walks and things to do on your doorstep. Hosts were lovely, coming to meet us and see us go, checking we’d had everything we needed. Very relaxing holiday.

Nestled within the North York Moors National Park, it enjoys far-reaching views across the valley, making it an ideal retreat for couples seeking a tranquil escape.

You’ll find off-road parking right outside, where you might be greeted by the friendly resident lambs and chickens before stepping into your welcoming home-from-home.

Inside, the open-plan living area invites you to relax on the plush sofa in front of the large Smart TV, with the warmth of the woodburning stove adding to the inviting atmosphere.

The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare delicious meals, which can be enjoyed at the intimate dining table for two, perfect for a celebratory evening in.

When it’s time to unwind, head to the elegant double bedroom, complete with an en-suite shower room for added convenience.

Start your mornings with a refreshing shower, then step out onto the rear patio with a hot drink in hand to watch the sunrise or catch a glimpse of the steam trains passing by.

The local area offers plenty to explore, including the charming Birch Hall Inn, ideal for a traditional pub lunch and a pint of local ale.

Take a romantic stroll along Eller Beck to discover the scenic Beck Hole Waterfall, or explore the village centre with its selection of welcoming pubs and handy convenience stores.

Fans of Harry Potter will enjoy a visit to Goathland Station, famously featured as Hogsmeade in the first film.

From here, hop aboard a vintage steam train and journey deeper into the moors.

For walkers, the Rail Trail offers a scenic route to Grosmont along a disused railway line.

For a change of scenery, head to the coast at Whitby, where you can relax on the beach, explore the dramatic ruins of Whitby Abbey, or climb the famous 199 steps for panoramic views.

Whether you're after countryside rambles, coastal adventures, or a peaceful break, Foxglove offers a memorable base for discovering the beauty of North Yorkshire.
