We had a lovely stay.

A friendly welcome by the owner, alongside tea pot biscuits and fresh eggs in the kitchen area. All spotlessly clean with a cosy surprisingly spacious feeling for a small cabin. Beautiful views whilst sitting in comfort of lounge area. Great location to a access walks, coast and attractions . Would definitely recommend :)

Thirley Beck Lodge is amazing, hayley the owner really cares about her guests and the Lodge has everything you could ever need for cooking and a comfortable stay.

The location is very good and central for travelling around north Yorkshire. The peace and quiet on the farm is brilliant, walks into the woods were great. Thank you to all at Thirley Beck for making our time away special and seeing cows, sheep the friendly farm dogs, horses and the amazing cockerel who really set us up for the day and made us smile every morning with his dawn call. If you are thinking of booking, our advice is don't delay, you won't regret it.

The lodge itself is wonderful. The scenery is tranquil and allowed for me to rest and heal. It is a fantastic place and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Owners were lovely so was everything there,a really relaxing holiday and a great spot to reach everything.

Lovely comfortable and cosy holiday lodge with the best views for miles.

The week was both warm and cooler depending on the day and the lodge had heating and a fan for cooling so very useful. There is everything you need for a comfortable, cosy stay and even visits from dogs and sheep in neighbouring field. We would definitely stay again as it’s set in lovely scenery with a great coastline nearby. Highly recommend for couples with a dog, we were delighted with lovely welcome of fresh eggs, milk and biscuits.

A warm, cosy lodge with amazing views over the countryside.

Everything was clean, and the lodge was very well equipped and comfortable, with welcome touches from the owner. Would highly recommend.

A perfect gem of a holiday lodge if you are seeking peace, quiet and beautiful countryside.

I arrived at a spotless, warm and comfortable cottage to find a generous welcome pack. It was wonderful waking every day to the beautiful scenery surrounding the cottage and being so close to the sheep and cows in the fields just outside. There are horses and dogs on the farm as well and are very friendly. The owners were extremely friendly but unobtrusive. I am certainly hoping to go back to this little piece of heaven. I should also mention that the location is ideal for exploring the local area despite being off the beaten track.

Upon arrival, it was the small touches that meant so much, like the milk, teabags, coffee and sugar, the biscuits and the fresh eggs.

The lodge was so welcoming and the additional touches, such as the towels and the water bowl for our dog were very much appreciated. The views were stunning and the surroundings were so peaceful, except for the occasional sounds of the sheep or cows. My husband and I saw the lambs wandering about so asked the hosts if we could meet them and, not only did we meet those lambs, but the hosts took us to see the newborn lambs with their mothers. We had a truly magical stay and didn’t want to leave. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

Had a lovely weekend at Lodge nice and peacfull , everything we needed was here , close to all amenities aswell , just a nice chilled out weekend , lovely to be so close to the sheep

Lovely relaxing stay.

Gorgeous lambs, horses and the cutest of dogs. Delicious eggs left for us for our breakfasts. Very friendly folk.

Lovely accommodation and owners.

Felt very relaxed as soon as we arrived. Very comfortable with everything well maintained. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the lambs provided on tap entertainment whilst we enjoyed drinks outside. There is also a rich array of birds to watch. If you want to get away from it all would thoroughly recommend. Beaches and places to eat and drink are only a short drive away, there are also a wide choice of walks that can be enjoyed in the area. Thank you for a great break.

Thirley Beck Lodge is a delightful place.

It is set in beautiful surroundings and is perfect for a peaceful, relaxing time. It is very clean and very well presented with everything provided that you would need for your stay. The owners thoughtfully left biscuits, eggs and milk for us which was a lovely touch. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Just perfect, everything we wanted in a holiday home and close to lovely places to visit.

Everything you need. Wonderful location. Craters in a very long drive were a challenge, but it is a working farm so might expect this. Might give location of nearest shop as is very isolated. Would love to come again.

We had a lovely week at Thurley beck Lodge, It was very comfortable clean and peaceful, loved the welcome pack of milk, biscuits and flowers

Although the lodge is lovely we didn't find it as comfortable as we thought it looked on the pictures,maybe a recliner sofa would be better,and the kitchen chairs would be better with cushions on them.

Also the flooring needs replacing if you are not steady on your feet.And maybe some sort of shelving in the shower.

Lovely welcoming touches, even the dogs were catered for! Warm & cosy with all amenities that you could want. Lovely furnishings and surroundings. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Farmer Hayley is a wonderful kind friendly lady who went out of her way to be helpful. Our second visit and there will be many more in future.

If you like peace and quiet, wonderful views, good footpaths to walk, lovely owner, very comfortable cabin and easy access to Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood Bay and the lovely Moors then this is the place for you.

Great place to stay especially if you like country life.

Peaceful, comfortable, clean, with everything you need and lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Thirley Beck Farm and lodge are well placed for travel to Whitby, Robin Hood's bay, Pickering, Filey, and Scarborough. Hard working owner Hayley was very helpful and easy to speak to as were her neighbours. Yorkshire is a lovely county and we will return to Thirley Beck Lodge to explore it further.

4 day stay with dog.

Brilliant walks from doorstep down track to forest. Lovely setting. Dog loved it. Views great. Accommodation as described nice to have decent shower. All in all can’t fault and if you manage to find a free slot you will not be disappointed

The lodge was very comfortable and very well equipped it even had Doggy treats .

We had a very warm welcome from the owners after a long drive . The lodge is in a great location and a wonderful setting . We will miss the neighbour's The field of Sheep .

Excellent property, the settee, which appears to be a bed settee, is low and not the most comfortable, but we utilised our own camping chairs.

Really appreciated the welcome touches. Especially the doggy treats for my 2 dogs. The lodge is perfect everything you could possibly need. Fantastic views, loved seeing the sheep and lambs but mostly the horses. Back in October and hopefully many times after that.

Such a beautiful place to stay, it is on a farm, so you just need to be aware you are driving down a farm track, but it's not a problem.

We loved our stay and the views were beautiful. If I had to make any comment at all it would be, that it was very cold during our stay, and although the heating was perfect just having a net on the sliding doors made it feel very cold sitting by it, I understand it's for the views, but maybe some simple tab top curtains would have blocked the cold coming from the glass! But it's a minor point. Spotlessly clean and comfy, brilliant cooker and microwave. The farm eggs supplied along with the milk and biscuits were lovely to walk into after a long drive. Highly recommend staying here. Close to Scarborough and easy to get to Whitby. A lovely smile and welcome when we arrived. Overall no complaints at all. We LOVED our stay. And will definitely go back.

Very impressed by lodge and local area.

Beaches pristine clean. Would have been useful to know that the sofa turned into a bed - unless we missed that bit of information. Lodge very well equipped and comfortable. Great that dogs had secure outdoor space, but medium sized dogs could jump fence.

My stay at Thirley Beck Lodge was excellent; what a gem of a place to have a break away from the rush of life.

The lodge is st in an amazing position and is cosy and comfortable. The owner clearly takes a lot of pride in the property, it was so welcoming with lots of little homely touches. I really couldn't fault it at all. The owner is welcoming and informative but not intrusive and I was left to enjoy a peaceful stay. The countryside surrounding the lodge is absolutely lovely for walking and I was happy to leave the car behind and walk to beautiful views andfollow peaceful paths. I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and hope to be able to visit again in the future.

Can't fault this place at all. Perfect as a launching pad for Scarborough, Filey, Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay etc. Perfect as a tranquil easy relaxing break from it all. Owner absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough, lodge well equipped and clean. We will be booking for next year.

Peace and tranquillity even though it was lambing season.

,owner was very helpful,everything you need in lodge couldn’t have been luckier with weather

Firstly the entry into the farm where the lodge was located was not clear,a small sign which is not clear stood next to it never mind driving by in a car.

Second is the farm track from the road to the lodge,being a farm its understandable its got the odd pothole but this needs to be stated in the listing,anyone with a low slung car with sport suspension would not want to drive on that surface too often,if i had known about it i would have picked a different property. Third,listing said includes towels,none were provided, we had to buy some when out the first day. The property itself was lovely and peaceful place to spend a few days but i could not recommend this property for the reasons stated above.

A good base for trips to Scarborough with our aging dogs.

The lodge had everything we needed, it was clean, well maintained with plenty of space outside for the dogs. Would highly recommend.

Really nice well equipped and clean lodge with a lovely outlook onto the field and surrounding hills with wagtails, sheep, horses and distant cows to watch.

Quiet location to unwind and rest or take a walk around the farm or surrounding area. Near to the coast for lovely cliff or beach walks as well as the North Moors. Within easy reach of the James Herriot Museum, Yorvik Viking Centre, North Yorkshire Steam Railway and many other attractions. I think we will be returning in the future!

We've had a wonderful week at the lodge.

It is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a week away and is situated in lovely countryside. Hosts Tim and Hayley made us feel really welcome. We will be back!

If you want total relaxation this is the place.

Hayley and Tim are fabulous hosts, the lodge has everything you need and is exceptionally clean. Ideally situated between Scarborough and Whitby, you can enjoy a day at the beach or stay at the lodge and enjoy the peace. Excellent value for money.

What a wonderful lodge with everything you need including your own garden.

The views from the lodge were absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of walks for the dogs too. The lovely owner Hayley gave me a guided tour of the farm meeting all the animals, including feeding the sheep. We really enjoyed our week at Thirley Beck, thank you Hayley and Tim for your lodge and our week of pure rest and relaxation.

Tim and Hayley were the perfect hosts, we really had a fab time in their lodge, on our arrival we were greeted with warmth and friendliness, and were made to feel as if we were old friends come to stay.

the lodge was complete with everything you could ask for,It is very well presented and very tastefully decorated, a real homely feel from the outset, Right down to the fresh milk, luxury biscuits and even eggs fresh from the farm that Tim and Hayley so generously provided. The Lodge itself is perfectly situated to make exploring very easy, it is close enough to Whitby and Scarborough to just pop in to town shopping sightseeing etc, yet far enough away to be perfectly tranquil and quite possibly the most peaceful area I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The experience of being gently woken in the morning by the multitude of wild birds singing is something I shall treasure and remember for ever, simply beautiful!!!!! I have no doubt in my mind we shall return and stay again and we would award "Thirley Beck Lodge" and Tim & Hayley 15/10 they have really made this a winner in our minds.

Thirley Beck lodge is in an idyllic setting - on a working farm in absolutely beautiful countryside.

The owners were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The lodge itself was cosy and quirky - there were lots of homely touches and a welcome pack of biscuits, milk and eggs. The farm had a variety of animals and it was lovely to explore the farm’s fields and woodland. There were wild birds in abundance-a delight to watch. It was peaceful, relaxing and will definitely be a place to revisit in the future.

Tim and Hayley were super hosts and went well beyond our expectations in their kindness.
