Description

If you’re looking for a short break or a longer holiday as a couple on a romantic getaway, a family with children, a group of friends, or solo escape, then Buck Place is perfect, boasting a luxury cottage settled on a quiet cul de sac of the prestigious holiday village known as The Bay, Filey, with direct access to The Sunday Times Best Beach of 2018 with its miles of uncrowded golden sands.

Be welcomed by this south facing holiday home, spending a fun-filled evening making use of the open-plan living area, benefiting from a well-equipped kitchen, intimate dining space and a lovely sitting area which leads out onto bright patio doors, accompanied by alfresco seating and a barbecue for those summer afternoons.

Retreat to one of the charming bedrooms, consisting of boutique hotel-style rooms including a king-size complete with TV and DVD player and a spacious twin bedroom which features a seaside theme with decorative accessories, equally suitable for adults or children.

Make full use of The Bay’s communal amenities, including a gym, two Indoor heated swimming pools, and a luxurious sauna and steam room, as well as a games room, tennis court, archery and a variety of activities on site, some which you can pay for during your trip.

Alternatively treat yourself to a day of pure bliss at one of the on site beauty rooms.

Head for a day out to the beautiful surrounding Yorkshire countryside with its many activities including National Trust sites, seaside attractions, theatre shows, activity golf, cycling and walking routes.

Stroll over to the handy pub/restaurant, small pharmacy and shop found on site, carrying all the essentials you may need during your stay, whilst many other eateries to suit all budgets and tastes can be found in nearby Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and many other seaside and countryside places.

Enjoy the best of the traditional English seaside resort and its magnificent attractions in the summer, or peaceful and rural getaway out of season at the North Moors National Park, home to a railway and stunning scenery as well as many quaint fishing villages along the coast.

7-11 Sept 2026.

Lovely well thought out accommodation, lovely decor, comfy beds, good south facing patio. Extractor fan in bathroom not working and TV in lounge unwatchable, aerial signal/connection dodgy. I left these comments in the guest book so hopefully they have been actioned. Bucks Place is near the entrance to The Bay so quite a long walk through the village to the amenities and path to the beach so we went by car. The pub is expensive for food and drink and dead. I would suggest if taking children they book a house near access to beach path and activities. The Bay is a good location for surrounding resorts. We enjoyed our stay and would come again.
