Lilipad Cottage

Lilipad cottage is a lovely place to stay, in a good location very quiet and comfortable.

It is well equipped and lovely furnishing and fittings. Really enjoyed our stay.

Accommodation was lovely, nice open plan kitchen and good quality appliances .

it really was a pleasure to stay and after a day out to come back and knowing your coming back to a warm place just made the holiday better. One last thing the double bed was so comfortable and we both slept very well .

Stayed at Lillipad Cottage in 2021, it was lovely and homely then so thought we would give it another go, (glad we did).

The owners (Dawn and Stephen) still take the same pride in making sure the property is clean and ready for guests arrival, oh and also there was a little treats left. Lillipad Cottage is in a great location on The Bay site with just just a, short walk to the leisure centre and a little longer to the beach. Bempton Cliffs, the seabirds arriving (saw the first puffins) and the bonus of good weather made the holiday fantastic.

Clean accommodation and lovely, modern, fresh decor. It was so lovely when arriving late that milk was in the fridge and the kids loved arriving to the extras like sweets and biscuits, lovely touch. The cottage was also warm and we had plenty of space. Would stay again.

Very comfortable and all the amenities we needed. We have stayed at a number of properties on The Bay and find them to be good places to stay. This has been no exception. We would stay there again and recommend to others.

Cottage was warm and welcoming.

Well equipped for self catering and good quality white goods too. Beds very comfortable, good quality bedding and mattresses. As we're not as young as we used to be we do miss our own rise and recline chairs but that's no reflection on the furniture provided, just part of getting old ! We have stayed at the Bay several times and this was definitely my favourite property.

Simply excellent. Beautiful property with all the facilities needed. Great quiet location with nice short walk to the central area and beach walk. We loved every minute of our stay.

Clean, tidy and well presented, Lillipad had everything that you could wish for as a base for a quiet weeks holiday.

Despite the cold weather, we had a great stay at Lilipad Cottage.

Warm, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Kitchen has everything we needed. Comfortable king sized bed. Perfect.

This was a return visit for us and as before, the accommodation was extremely well appointed and very clean and comfortable.

It is in an excellent location for visiting the Yorkshire coast and Wolds. The Bay estate is a well maintained site and quiet and safe. Lilipad Cottage is in a good location on the estate in a very quiet area but within a few mins walk to the main complex and coastal path. The coastal towns of Filey and Bridlington are only a few minutes drive away. A great place to stay.

Bad start another family already in when we go there, they had the same key code but the wrong cottage.

HOW can that happen. Then we had no heating, it was controlled by the owner leaving it cold most of the day. Being pensioners we did not feel it was not good enough, came home early.

We have had an enjoyable long weekend.

Lillipad Cottage is well placed to explore the East Coast. It is comfortable and well appointed. All that you need.

The cottage was perfect for our little family of five (Myself, my husband, our son, daughter in law and 4 month old grandson).

Dawn and Stephen were perfect hosts letting us know the cottage was available earlier than the check in time. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very clean and has everything we needed and more. Parking for two cars on the drive is an added bonus! We enjoyed the use of the swimming pool which has a baby pool too. The information folder was very helpful.

Being fussy, we're alway conscious of what we're walking into to.

We need'nt have worried, LiliPad Cottage was well equipped, with thoughtful touches like Milk and Condiments provided. Cleanliness was first class, allowing us to enjoy our Holiday from the offset. Lovely Lillypad cottage is an ideal place to stay on the east coast for visiting Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and Filey.

It is spotlessly clean and comfortable, would definitely recommend.

Really lovely cottage.

Very clean and comfortable with the added luxury of both a new walk-in shower and a king size double bed. The pint of milk in the fridge was a nice touch and helped to get the holiday and tea making underway!

This is my third visit to Lilipad Cottage.

The standards are always high and have been maintained. The owners are friendly and always available if required for assistance of any sort. The cottage is always maintained to a high standard and has everything you require for a self-catering holiday. A new walk-in shower has been installed and is great. On arrival there was a pint of milk in the fridge, plus condiments in cupboard, allowing us to settle in and have a cuppa straight away. Will be back in future.

We are just back from an excellent weeks holiday.

We greatly enjoyed the cottage, the Bay Pool and Pub, the walks in the area and had wonderful weather. Everything was up to standard, as described. Dawn ,the owner was very professional and helpful . My wife and I will definately be booking again next year. Many thanks to all involved.

A perfect cottage for us, perfectly located, well-equipped and comfortable.

Loved the nautical/cat theme with lots of personal touches around the property. Made it feel homely. Only thing we’d say is that we’d have appreciated instructions in the property book on operating the smart thermostat which controlled the heating system.

Lilipad Cottage is a very high spec accommodation which is maintained to a high standard.

Very clean and comfortable with all the facilities we wanted. A really nice touch was the Easter Eggs in our welcome pack, just an example of the care the owners take. The Bay itself is a great location for the north east coast and the site is maintained to a high standard. Lilipad is in a nice quiet location but still within a short stroll of the facilities. Ace!

Lillypad cottage is lovely.

We arrived on a very cold and wet afternoon. We walked into a lovely warm and cosy cottage. It has everything you could wish for and more in a holiday cottage. Very light, comfortable. A real home from home. We loved it so much that we have booked it again for later in the year. Nice walk down to the beach too.

Your cottage is beautiful and perfect for a family of 4 with lots of space.

The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed including extras like condiments.

This is a delightful property which is exceptionally clean and well equipped.

The holiday village is clean and well maintained and is ideally situated a short walk from magnificant beach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable few days staying at the cottage and exploring the local area. We will definitely return!

The Cottage is absolutely beautiful with a home from home feeling and has everything you could need.

The owners take pride in there property and it shows it was spotless and lovely attention to detail very nice ornaments and decorated for Christmas. I have stayed on The Bay in the past but this property is the best I have stayed in by far. Thank you to the owners for making our Christmas one of the best we have had for a long time.

Dawn & Stephen’s cottage was the perfect place for a midweek relaxing break.

It had everything you could possibly need, very cozy and warm, spotlessly clean, hone from home. We arrived on 1st December and the cottage had a Xmas tree and lovely decorations which added that extra special touch. Not to mention that Santa had left delicious treats for us and a welcome bottle of milk in the fridge. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We would not hesitate to recommend Lilipad cottage and hope to be back next year.

Out main issue was being unable to charge our electric car on site!

If the management are unwilling to allow charging from individual properties they must make appropriate provision. This one factor would prevent us from holidaying here in future. The cottage was comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. It was well equipped for four people. It would have been helpful to know in advance how heavily subscribed the activities on site would be- we weren’t able to get places for archery on arrival. Also we couldn’t get information about the full range of activities (no leaflets available) It would have been good if we had known we’d need to book in advance.

We gave returned to the cottage for a long weekend.

Facilities are clean, user friendly and comfortable. Excellent base to explore the east coast.

We had a fabulous time at lilipad cottage, the owners Dawn & Stephen have gone that extra mile with little extras that you don’t normally get I.

e Netflix, toilet rolls, washing tablets etc. As well as been well looked after internally, the cottage was in an ideal location for us to explore the Yorkshire dales. The bonus of having onsite facilities of a shop, bakery & pub which we used as well as the indoor swimming pool free access (via booking system) was also great. 10 minutes stroll down to the Sandy beach & only a 40 minute walk along the beach into Filey, all in all we would recommend lilipad cottage to couples & family’s for a home from home staycation .

There didn’t seem to be a place to recycle our paper/card products on the site.

The host left us tea, coffee and milk, games to play and the wifi was a winner with my neice.

It was like home from home. A fantastic location between Scarborough and Bridlington

Enjoyable stay.

Despite Covid the owners have maintained standards making our stay feel safe.

Lilipad Cottage was a lovely property and the owners take such pride in making it so comfortable for people.

The Bay is a great location to spend a holiday despite the ever changing weather that we had. We went to Bempton Cliffs and saw the puffins, gannets and numerous other seabirds, we also went to Flamborough Head and saw a family of seals basking on the rocks plus an unexpected close siting of a barn owl. Sewerby Park is a nice visit, we took the return little train ride to Bridlington where we had the wonderful Yorkshire Coast fish and chips. Filey and its beach are one of the best seaside resorts and after each excursion retuned to chill out at lovely Lilipad Cottage.

The cottage was beautifully clean and had everything in it that you could possibly need.

Everything was so comfortable and the site is immaculate. A real ‘Home from Home’.

Had a great few days at Lilipad cottage which was possibly the cleanest place we've ever stayed.

We'd love to come back again.

The cottage more than lived up to it's description - lovely comfortable bed and sofas - extremely clean - can't think of anything the owners haven't thought of by way of equipment - sun on the patio all day an added bonus.

Used the pool and had drinks at the John Paul Jones pub at The Bay - the staff doing everything to make things covid safe. We look forward to a return visit.

Fantastic cottage break with the family for New Year on the beautiful Bay in Filey.

Dawn had left us little treats and went the extra mile to make is feel really welcome. Cottage is very cosy and ultra clean. A great base for long beach walks and movie nights in. My children already want to go back. 5 stars for Lilipad Cottage.

Lily pad cottage is a fantastic find.

It is Cosy, comfy and clean. It is well equipped and you feel right at home straight away. This was a fantastic base from which to spend a wonderful family break. We will definitely be returning.

This was our first time visiting Yorkshire and we had a great time.

The beaches at Filey and Whitby were fantastic. Our pre-teen kids had a brilliant day at Flamingoland and pottering around on the various beaches. Our stay in a holiday village as opposed to a caravan site was brilliant. The facilities in the cottage and within the village were great. Both very welcoming and very clean. The site was very safe for the kids to have some independence. As ever our stay with Sykes was excellent. We have now stayed in Sykes cottages in Scotland, England and Wales and we are never disappointed.

Everything was excellent from the cleanliness of the property to the position in a quiet cul de sac.

To the point that we have booked to visit again next May 2020.

Spotless beach themed cottage everything just perfect for us cannot fault this amazing holiday experience.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Lilipad Cottage in May 2019.

It is in a brilliant location and is equipped with everything we could possibly need. The sun was shining everyday so our toddler made the most of digging on the beach, splashing in the sea and building sandcastles. We hope to return again soon.

Having previously owned a caravan next door on the Haven Park, Primrose Valley, with the problems that it brought , it made a refreshing change to stay somewhere where we could relax and feel that we had an holiday.

Lillipad Cottage was an excellent choice being located in a quiet part on The Bay. It was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed during our stay. It was nice to able to leave our bedroom windows open on a warm humid night without being disturbed by drunks, screaming women and noisy kids running around after 11 pm at night. It was comforting to see a visible security patrol which you would regularly see at the entrance to The Bay. All in all The Bay was a great place to stay with not over the top facilities which provided a nice family pub, cafe restaurant, swimming pool, sauna , Gym and activities for children. Lillipad Cottage was within easy walking distance of all these facilities with an added bonus of easy access to the beach and the lovely Filey Bay. There were two car parking spaces alloted to this cottage with further parking nearby so you can leave the car without any worries and go off for the day. Ideal base for exploring the north Yorkshire Coastline with must visits to Flamborough, Bempton Cliffs, Sewerby and Burton Agnes Hall, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, North York Moors, Pickering and North Yorks Railway, Scarborough and Bridlington which are all within a short drive. Thank you to the owners of Lillipad Cottage for providing a lovely holiday home which allowed us to have a relaxing holiday We will definitely be returning next year.

My little family and I stayed here Easter 2019.

This beautiful little cottage has everything you could wish for. Modern but homely, very clean and tidy. Perfectly situated in walking distance to the leisure suit, pub, arcade and beach. Booking was easy. The owners are very accommodating and willing to help in any way. They even left a little gift for us on arrival. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend

Lovely decor, spacious with 2 young children and really nice little touches-clothes, dishwasher tablets etc left. Plus wine and beer! Would definitely recommend staying here.

The Bay at Filey is a wonderfully peaceful location, and Lilipad Cottage was definitely the best self-catering accommodation we have ever stayed in.

It was immaculately clean, really well equipped and very much a home from home. Definitely would stay there again.

The cottage was as described and we had a lovely holiday!

The break was enjoyed by ourselves and 2 Grandaughters aged 7 & 3.

They loved their holiday home.It was modern,very warm and welcoming.The complex was ideal for young children with a playground ,an indoor swimming pool and safe for them to use their scooters without the fear of fast traffic. We would definitely recommend the place.
