Kingfisher Lodge

This was the second time the three of us have stayed at Kingfisher lodge(Mark,Mags and our dog Ruby)6/6/26.

And it didn't disappoint. The lodge still looked as fresh and clean as we remembered, a testament to the care and attention of the owners such a refreshing change. We felt at home as soon as we walked in and dropped our bags down Ruby made herself at home running around in the large enclosed garden area.In side Kingfisher lodge there is everything you need to make your stay perfect. Really comfortable beds, modern luxury bathrooms( one is en suite)homely sofa and chairs. A fully equipped kitchen with a good range of utensils,which is a nice change. Outside is secluded and private and very peaceful. There is enough out door furniture for alfresco dining and relaxing in the sun. The is also a very nice well kept clean jacuzzi to relax the weary bones after a good day exploring the many nearby beaches and country walks. Cannot rate Kingfisher lodge or thank the owners enough for a superb holiday. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay here or one of the other two lodges on site. All three are very popular another plus for the owners.

Wonderful lodge, one of the best holiday accommodations we have stayed in.

Clean, spacious and very comfortable

We have stayed at Meadowbank lodge previously but preferred Kingfisher lodge.

Every was perfect for what we required for a restful stay.

Brilliant stay at Kingfisher lodge, Clean and comfortable could not ask for more, Great location for exploring local towns (Westwood walk loop Beverley is great for dog walking), Hosts were fantastic but didn't see much of anyone here, Would definitely recommend and book again, Thank you.

Lovely lodge, clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Our 2 dogs loved the fully enclosed garden with plenty of space to run around. The welcome gifts for both humans and dogs were very much appreciated. Quiet and peaceful with lots of local wildlife.

We had a delightful stay at Kingfisher Lodge.

The lodge is beautifully presented and has everything you could possibly need. The hot tub is huge and a wonderful luxury. The little items left for our arrival were such a lovely touch, the brownies were delicious. We will definitely be back, thankyou for a fabulous stay.

We actually stayed in Meadow Bank as new patio doors were being fitted to Kingfisher.

Meadow Bank is a more modern Lodge which benefits from a much bigger fridge and an impressive tv! The lodge was immaculate and extremely comfortable, fab on suite showers, the kitchen well equipped, hot tub well maintained and very clean, if taking a pooch the garden is very secure. Good WiFi signal. We love this site it feels very private and is peaceful great listening to the owls at night. Ali is very friendly and on hand if anything is required. Positioned close to coastal towns of Hornsea, Bridlington and Scarborough,Hull and York also not far. Brandesburton has a chippy and pizza place , local pubs and shops for basics. Total privacy, every box ticked in regards to cleanliness, facilities and comfort. From the extra treats left for us, those brownies were delicious by the way, the milk and apple juice which were very well received. A better stay has not been had anywhere by ourselves and our two dogs who thoroughly enjoyed being able to run around the totally enclosed gardens. Would certainly not hesitate to recommend it to anyone apart from the fact we may not be able to get back there as it'll be too busy. Thank you to Ali, John & Sasha for making our stay so perfect.

Fantastic accomodation spacious, clean, homely.

Hot tub was well maintained and so relaxing after long walks. The treats the owners left for our arrival were very much appreciated the cakes and apple juice were delicious thank you for this. Very private and very peaceful just what we wanted. Overall one of the best self catering holidays we've had we hope to book again in the future. It was just perfect.

Lovely lodge eveything we needed. We had a problem at start of week but it was dealt with straight away. Highly recommended, we dont normally go back to same place twice but we will defiently be back here. Owners were so helpful and friendly and on hand if you needed anything. Thankyou

Kingfisher lodge is very clean and comfortable, our second visit with a third booked for next year.

It sits on a small site and with the enclosed outside space feels very private, the hot tub is sheltered maintained daily and fab! The Kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfy it’s very spacious and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, making you feel very welcome. It’s a short walk into Brandesburton (1mile) which hosts a couple of pubs ,local convenience shops, a chippy, a bakery and also soon to be pizza place. Well situated for visits to Hull, Beverly,Hornsea,Bridlington with Scarborough and York not far off. All in all a great place to stay ;)

Kingfisher lodge is set in very peaceful surroundings, the outside space is enclosed allowing for complete privacy, there is plenty of outside seating and a nice covered area on one side of the veranda.

The inside space is very spacious, comfortable,clean and well equipped. The walk in shower in the on suite and over the bath in the main bathroom were the best we’ve ever encountered! The hot tub is large, sheltered and maintained daily by the owners who are very friendly. Brandesburton is only a short walk and has a well stock local shop, a nice 4 mile circular walk to Leven in the other direction takes you across fields, a map for this can be found in the folder. Needless to say we have already booked and are looking forward to our next stay there. Thank you Ali, John and Sasha.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kingfisher Lodge; very well equipped and clean.

Loved the large enclosed garden for our dog and the hot tub was very well received. The great weather made all the difference especially as the car broke down mid week and we had no transport then until Friday evening. Thanks to Ali for pointing us in the direction of the local garage and for picking up some beer for my husband :) We've already booked again for next year, to stay in Bluebell Wood, which looks great as well.

This was our second visit to Kingfisher Lodge.

We had a lovely stay and will be back next year. Lottie loved the enclosed garden, we enjoyed the hot tub and loved seeing the barn owl flying over the field.

Lovely holiday lodge, would definitely recommend.

It suited us perfectly. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Hot tub was well maintained and relaxing. The walk-in shower was very spacious and always plenty of hot water. The hosts maintain the lodges and clean them themselves to a high standard. The garden is very secure especially for little dogs and big dogs alike.

This lodge is the best we have stayed in It was so private and peaceful Very comfortable sofas and beds and everything you could possibly need from corkscrew to washing line and pegs We saw squirrels and rabbits and plenty of bird song too We discovered areas of Bridlington that we never knew existed and really recommend the park and ride for there and visited Hornsea So many nearby beaches that are dog friendly Ali and John left some personal treats for us too on arrival We will definitely be going back as the lodge is perfect .

Wow.

Just a wonderful place to stay. A home from home. Very clean. Very comfortable. Very peaceful. Not surprising to see so many people go back time and time again. We willbe back too.

This lodge is family run and a lot of tender loving care has been taken towards the up keep and maintenance of this lodge.

Lots of small details and no expense spared with the set up. The Arnott family are so friendly which makes your stay that bit special and a nice peaceful relaxing holiday. We didn’t want the holiday to end.

Had a lovely stay in kingfisher lodge, the lodge was lovely and had everything you could need, the hot tub was fab and the secure garden was perfect for our little dog.

Front gate latch the nut is missing (only the bolt is in place) had a great stay.

Would be great if you were able to allow access to the meadow for our dogs but otherwise perfect.

Fabulous stay in spotlessly clean cabin.

Super comfy beds & couch with 5star under cover hot tub. Complete dog secure garden. Great location for exploring the coast line. Couldn’t fault in any way.

Our third visit to Kingfisher Lodge and just like the other two visits everything about the place was perfect for us.

Very peaceful due to being set well back from the road and the garden is private as well as being totally secure for our dog to enjoy. If you are looking for somewhere to chill out this lodge is the place to go. The owners Alison & John will be there if you need them, and they have always ensured we have settled in before leaving us to relax. No doubt we will book again.

All parts clean and we had everything we needed.

Garden very secure and dog friendly. Owners very friendly and helpful. Due to unforseen circumstances we had to leave early. Ali (the owner) was fantastic and took the pressure off us and for that we are eternally grateful. A great holiday and we would recommend Kingfisher Lodge to anyone.

Didn't actually stay in kingfisher lodge as there was an booking error however we stayed in the meadowbank lodge and it was absolutely amazing.

From first walking in the door we knew it was going to be fantastic, a proper home from home and the weather made it even more amazing. The goodies on arrival were greatly appreciated and absolutely delicious. We got back yesterday afternoon and have already looked at dates for next year and the year after as we enjoyed our stay so much. The enclosed garden made it brilliant for our little dog and we could relax knowing he was safely able to play and run around without worrying he would get out. 5 stars all the way absolutely fantastic can't wait to come back. Will be definitely recommending to family and friends

Fantastic lodge with every home comfort.

The Kingfisher Lodge is a wonderful place to stay.

A home from home, which is clean, beautifully decorated and relaxing. The hot tub is amazing and with the secure garden you don't need to worry when the pooch goes exploring in the garden. Within 15 minutes drive from the coast and lovely dog walks around. John and Ali are amazing, friendly hosts and ensure you have everything you need, leaving little touches which are much appreciated when you first arrive and ensure you are happy and settled. This is our 2nd visit here and I am sure it won't be our last. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic week at kingfisher Lodge.

So clean and cosy on arrival with welcome cakes and wine to greet us. Lovely quiet location with lots to do nearby. Hot tub amazing to relax in every evening. Will definately return again.

Amazing stay.

Lovely place really nice and clean, we were 2 couples, plenty of space for everyone. Treats for the dogs on arrival was a lovely touch. Had everything you could think of needed for a weekend away. 5*

Hosts Ali and John were really friendly and welcoming with little treats waiting for us on our arrival. We all had a wonderful time.

Just returned from our third visit and it was excellent as always.

Lodge spotless and has everything you need. Since our last stay a few things have changed, the new recling sofas are great (nearly nodded off a few times on them) and the new simba matress on the bed is so comfy. The brownies and dog treats always a nice little touch. Thanks again Ali see you next year.

Just wonderful place like your own private paradise the area lovely as well ali her daughter sasha are wonderful people very friendly and made you very welcome one off them come every day to clean hot tub i never know this before but this does not impact on your privacy the garden and outside space is wonderful if you got dogs are children all very secure our dogs love it you can relax knowing your dogs are safe cannot get better place than this it does tick all the boxes and very good value for money you pay already booked for next year cannot wait if you thinking book one off these lodges just book you will not be disappointed you love it as many repeat guests do happy holidays

The owners (Alli & John) have put in an electric wood burner and two new reclining sofas which are very comfortable. The lodge was spotless and everything had been thought of to make the stay there as comfortable as possible. The garden for our little dog could not be bettered and it is totally secure, he absolutely loved it ! Alli and John are very helpful and friendly and any problems are very quickly rectified. We could not have had a better or more relaxing time in what is a very high end lodge and we would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year !

Absolutely beautiful lodge.

Cannot say one bad thing about it. It's perfect. Will definitely stay again.

The property is first class, cleanliness was spot on and with the property being fully enclosed it made it easier for those that have a four legged friend that is an escape artist, it helped us to be able to relax.

The only comments I would like to make is that the shower has no grab rails, and the other is that unfortunately the furniture was not comfortable as it looked

I cannot recommend The Kingfisher Lodge enough.

Beautiful lodge, very comfortable and everything catered for. Our dog loved the run of his own garden and we were put at ease with how secure it was for him whilst we relaxed in the hot tub. The owners Ali and John are lovely and went out of their way to make our holiday as perfect as it was. We loved it that much we have already booked for next year

We had a lovely stay.

The lodge had everything we needed. Alison popped in to say hi which was lovely and I felt assured anything I needed would be covered. The enclosed garden was fantastic for our dogs and removed any stress of them getting out. We would definitely book again.

Property and gardens absolutely perfect as was nearby beaches and walks the hottub was a bit special totally private and some nice touches left in the lodge on arrival made for a relaxing week for me and my other half only 1 downer was the mattress in the master bedroom very uncomfortable not a biggy as we slept in the guest double which was extremely comfortable.

Me and my wife had a wonderful time here with our two dogs for our mini honeymoon!

It was an amazing break away after the chaos of a wedding day. One of the best lodges we’ve ever been to and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Lodge excellently equipped, very clean, quiet and private, great hot tub undercover so when it rain you can still use tub.

Only very slight issue with heating pipes banging in morning (mentioned it to owners and they said they would sort it) We would definitely return had a great week away and definitely recommend the lodge.

Excellent place to stay and the welcome treats a really nice touch (the kids loved the home grown apple juice and brownies). Ali always lovely and welcoming.

The personal touch of the homemade brownie and apple juice was a lovely touch had a lovely holiday the lodge was even better in real life than the pictures would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

The lodge was fantastic we have a 2 year old and it was fully enclosed so we had no worry that she would get out and on to the road, it was nice to be able to relax knowing she couldn’t escape, the lodge was so clean and well looked after by the owners Ali, John and Sasha.

Stunning lodge, it felt like a home away from home.

If you are looking for a place to relax and chill out this is the perfect place to go.

The lodge has everything you need and the covered hot tub is great idea because even if the weather is poor you can still make full use of it. The furniture is very comfortable and the open plan living space allows you to spend time together at the same time as preparing a meal. The garden is very secure so for those who want to bring a dog there's no need to worry about it getting out, and the lodge it set well back from the main road anyway giving you total peace and quiet. The owners Ali and John are lovely people, they are about if you need them but leave you to enjoy your holiday without intrusion. I highly recommend this property, we have already booked to go back again later in the year and I have no doubt we will be having many more visits in the future.

Larger than looked on pictures.The hosts were amazing and have thought of everything to make your stay the most pleasurable.Definitely recommend,one of the best we have stayed in.Brilliant enclosed garden,doggies loved it,wonderful sun trap on the terrace with comfortable seating.Hot tub perfect,lit up nicely for evening relaxation.Weather not brilliant but having such a beautiful place made our holiday perfect.Thank you.

This lodge is secluded and enclosed, which is great as we had 2 dogs, which we could let out of the door and they were in a safe environment.

It was a perfect spot as a base for walking straight from the lodge and not too far from Fraisthorpe beach where you could walk on the beach all the way into Bridlington. Hornsea was a good place to visit. Once back at the lodge you could relax in the hot tub. It made for a very relaxed break.

! My first experience of travelling alone with two dogs - the lodge and facilities were just brilliant. The owners were away but that was not an issue as their daughter was extremely helpful. Perfect holiday, could not of asked for anything more

We had a very enjoyable holiday and the lodge was second to none.

Alison and John were extremely helpful and our dog was poorly so Alison reccommended a vet to us. Our dog loved playing with their dog Mabel. Would definately like to go again the garden was lovely for the dog.

Fantastic and relaxing holiday all made possible by Ali and John who own Kingfisher lodge.

Kingfisher lodge is everything you could want from a holiday accommodation everything was clean comfortable and was far above our expectations.

With the hot tub and the bathroom and on suite being of such a high quality you got the standard of a very good hotel combined with the privacy of the garden and the surrounding land we loved watching the rabbits birds and we even managed to see an owl. Alison John and the lovely Mabel were perfect hosts, we enjoyed the local walks and pubs especially the Dacre arms in Brandesburton even the local shops were welcoming. Plenty things to do and visit a short drive away the weather was hot but we even managed to find a dog cooling coat in a lovely little pet shop in Hornsea. We found Sykes booking was straight forward and hassle free all in all a holiday we will definitely always remember and recommend. Rufus loved the secure dog friendly garden myself and my husband could relax in the hot tub lodge and garden knowing he was safe and secure this lodge would be perfect for families. Well what can i say about a perfect place to stay.

First let me tell you about Ali and John, you could not ask for better hosts. They are welcoming friendly and NOTHING is too much trouble, Really lovely people and Mabel is very lovable too. The lodge is very clean and in a very calm and peaceful location where you can just sit and watch wildlife or relax in the hot tub which is also well maintained. The lodge is in an ideal location for day tripping as Beverly, Hornsea, Bridlington and Hull are not that far away. This is our 3rd visit to the cottage and we are going again in August with our two Dogs who also love the large fenced in garden. Thanks again to Ali and John for a lovely Holiday.

Hidden gem top location 11/10

A lovely clean comfortable cottage in a quiet setting with all mod cons.

An easy walk to a local shop and places to eat. Loved Berts pizzeria. The hot tub was a godsend and very private.

Fantastic lodge, very modern and well equipped with everything you could think of.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. A great location that was secluded and peaceful. Altogether a great relaxing holiday.

Absolutely amazing log cabin very clean and lovely friendly owners had a great time there with the kids and the hot tub was fabulous definitely recommend to friends and family !

An absolute gem of a holiday cottage!

Totally private and very quiet. Facilities amazing, and the lodge was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Owners very welcoming, we will definitely book again.

Very private & clean.

Owners treated the hot tub twice a day but we rarely saw them but we're there if we needed them. Ideal for dogs as totally enclosed garden. We had a very peaceful break which is what we needed.

The lodge is very comfy and has all the facilities you require.

The hot tub is amazing and a great addition. We didn't get to sample the local pubs because unfortunately they wore shut and what was described as a 10 minute walk wasn't quite that. Overall though the lodge was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lodge was excellent, owners very friendly.

Would not rebook as there are lots more places to stay in England, no other reason. We would recommend the lodge, although you must have a car to stay there as local shops and pubs are a good walk away. There is everything you need in the lodge for a good break. The only thing that could be an improvement would be another television in one of the bedrooms, as there are times when part of the group would like to watch something different on the TV.

We loved our weeks stay at this Beautiful modern cabin, in a secluded area.

Very relaxing. The cabin has everything you need including a lovely hot tub which my daughter was always in. Very clean and comfortable beds. Lots of room for our dog to run around in the garden. Lovely views and walks and there's even a fishing pond on the grounds. The owners are very welcoming and on hand should you need anything. I would definatly recommend this log cabin to my friends and family
