We arrived at around 6pm after a journey in horrendous weather, and the owner, Phil, was waiting to greet us and made us very welcome.
He came into the comfy Lodge to welcome us, and to let us know what was what, and only to ask if we needed anything. I love Yorkshire, and in such beautiful and peaceful surroundings, could live happily ever after in the Lodge. Anyone wanting a peaceful and restful holiday, I would recommend Maple Leaf Lodge.
Beware no WiFi, Sykes have not updated the owner’s instructions.
That said, if you want a relaxing break in a lovely quiet location with owners on hand if needed, this is your spot. Very handy for York, Malton, Castle Howard and beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Lodge has everything you need (apart from WiFi) and at the time of writing only one lodge is available so ultra quiet and private. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back again.
This is a beautiful location and the accommodation is fitted out with lovely new fittings/equipment.
The setting is tranquil and peaceful and a fabulous ‘get away from it all’ place to enjoy. We would 100% recommend. We didn’t require WiFi but the advert shows WiFi and there isn’t any.
