Enjoyed our stay overall bear in mind it was cold but no one had put heating on prior to our arrival and I think the mattress could do with replacing as the springs are noisy when turning over or getting in and out of bed As the heating was off there was no instructions to say how to work it

“Beautiful location ideal if you want to be off grid.”

On arrival looked beautiful inside and out, anything I leave on this review is constructive feedback as with a few tweeks is a cracking little business. Lovely gesture of wine and biscuits on our arrival, very clean. Advertised as dog friendly which was the main reason we booked here, only downside is that there are gaps under the gates/fencing so you have to watch your furbabies at all times. Hot tub is lush, although with no privacy screen you are exposed to getting in and out of it to others on site. Borehole supplies the water so we had bottled water and chose not to shower the Saturday night, really bad smell when running tap in kitchen. Boiler kept in cupboard next to bed, noticed there was no carbon monoxide detector visible, no smoke alarm but a fire extinguisher under the sink. Sadly the bed was extremely uncomfortable so we ended up sleeping ontop of their duvet, but again that's a person's personal preference with mattresses. Sadly no guest book, contact number in case needed on a white board. Lots of towels provided, along with tea, coffee and sugar. Washing up items under sink also. Window/blind in roof could do with a pole to assist with the opening and closing. You dont want people climbing on the sofa as dangerous and disrespectful. Woodwork on walls could do with a touch up all over, manuals on how to work hot tub would be helpful. Please accept this review for what it is, constructive.

So clean and it has everything you need -and a great clean site to boot .... only thing missing is a path so you can walk into Thornton -le -dale !

“Lovely location however very disappointed with the cleanliness of the Pod.”

The first part of our stay was spent cleaning oven trays, pots and sides. The shower ran cold and at times no water pressure through any tap. The Pod was well heated and the hot tub was lovely however with two dogs it was difficult to relax as the garden was not secure and the dogs escaped multiple times.

“I liked the glamping pod, it was well heated.”

Parking wasn’t an issue and good location. However, water pressure didn’t work so couldn’t shower or drink the water, I wish this was explained beforehand as we were running around to shops to buy water. I don’t think they maintained the hot tub while we were gone, skin felt very itchy and felt dirty. Mattress was also very uncomfortable but again everyone sleeps differently.

“The fact that this property is listed as Dog secure was a major factor in us booking.”

It however was not Dog Secure. Our 3 year dog could very easily (and did very easily) get under 2 of the wooden gates. This was incredibly frustrating. Another important thing to note is that this listing uses a Borehole for it's water supply. We did not know this before booking and given that I am heavily immunosuppressed it posed a credible risk to my health. We over came this by buying bottled water but even washing in borehole water carries risk, and so I was not able to have a proper shower.

“On arrival pod looked great , bathroom was clean and tidy, everything seemed to be there however when I went to put food in the fridge it wasn’t very clean and fridge door was broken , even worse for me was the state of the oven it was absolutely filthy as was the grill rack in it .”

I don’t go away to clean up after anyone else so we could not use that !! Kitchen units themselves could do with a really good clean you can see someone has wiped then but they are just a streaky mess ! Just feel a lot more care and attention is needed on the cleaning !! On the positive side hot tub was lovely had a lovely evening watching the stars from it .

“Couldn't get hottub working the 2nd night as there wasn't any clear instructions.”

Fridge didn't work so food that was brought with us was wasted. Accommodation hadn't been cleaned on arrival, pet hair was found in the bedding so had to sleep on the top of the covers for 2 nights as well as finding clumps of hair inside the shower plug.

Peaceful and relaxing very cute cosy pod with underfloor heating. The grounds and the pod were lovely and clean. Nice welcome basket. left to our own device which we like but could get in touch with owners and maintenance guy if needed. Thanks for a lovely stay x

Everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Only criticism I could find was with the hot tub, it could have done with some attention as the water looked quite murky. We didn't use anyway as weather wasn't that favorable in the evenings.

“The oven was left in a very dirty state and there were no scourers on site to clean it, so we had to buy our own.”

The fridge door milk shelf had broken and had been left in the cupboard. This made storing milk, awkward. The shower ran hot and cold and there was a strong sewage smell when running it. There was no microwave, no decent mirrors, presumably because of the shape of the pod. The outside lights did not work. Overall, we were disappointed.

“Loved our stay so much.”

We are going to book again for next year. Can't wait already. Our puppy loved it too. One or two small issues garden could of been a bit more secure, he kept getting through the conifers at the back near the little tractor and he got under the main gate once too. Another was the hot tub although we still used it, due to the warm weather but it was not heating up very well (I will admit this could of been down to user error, but just in case) I absolutely loved this glamping pod, I've told friends and family about it too. Really impressed with the cleanliness and the small gestures, beautifully decorated. Will 100 percent be back

Water is supplied by a bore hole and smells of sulphur dioxide. Drinking bottled water is fine, showering in stinking water not so fine.
