Description

Catterick 3.8 miles.

Butterfly Lodge is a charming, detached lodge located on a quaint holiday park in Tunstall, near the parish village of Catterick, North Yorkshire.

Nestled inside the Swaledale Valley and offering easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this abode is a delightful setting for your next Yorkshire Dales break, finished to a high quality and ideal for a small family or group of four.

On arrival, two in-demand off-road parking places await you; after parking, make your walk up to the sunny front deck and relax on the seats while taking in your peaceful surroundings.

Inside the lodge, you'll find an attractive sitting room with neutral tones and plenty of plush seating to make you feel at home; why not turn on the Smart TV for a family movie night while the woodburning stove flickers?

Travel to the back of the lodge to find a fantastic kitchen with an abundance of amenities, including a large fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

After the group's appointed chef has prepared a scrumptious meal, enjoy your feast in the dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light and make it a pleasant place to dine.

When the sun goes down, head outside to the rear patio where you can indulge in a soothing soak in the hot tub and let your worries melt away under the starry skies amidst a tranquil backdrop.

Afterwards, proceed to the master bedroom, boasting a double bed, a fantastic walk-in closet, and a convenient en-suite shower room.

Another well-presented double room nearby has easy access to a family bathroom; the bathroom is home to a bath and a shower over, giving you the option of a quick freshen-up or a longer soak-in.

The village of Tunstall is home to the Bay Horse Inn, a great destination for a pint and lunch, while the larger village of Hipswell is only three miles away and has all your necessities in one location.

After you've picked up your necessities at the village superstore, why not enjoy a round of golf at the Catterick Golf Club?

Continue north to the county town of Richmond, which has a number of attractions inside its charming architecture, including the informative Richmondshire Museum, the breathtaking Richmond Castle, and the lovely River Swale Waterfalls.

Travel south to Leyburn, where you can have a stroll or cycle through Leyburn Shawl, see the nearby Harmby Waterfall, or spend the day at the famed Wensleydale Agricultural Show if you come at the proper time of year.

Make the most of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is home to a wealth of excursions and attractions, including The Forbidden Corner.

You can also enjoy adventures in the lively towns of Middlesbrough and Harrogate, which have many activities for the entire family.

Butterfly Lodge promises an amazing holiday, any time of year.

We had a fantastic stay.

The Lodge was lovely and very clean and had everything needed for our stay. The hot tub was a fantastic addition. The kitchen could have done with a bit more equipment as only had 2 bowls! Overall we had a fantastic stay.
