We opened the door and just said ‘wow’.

What a stunning lodge. It is so beautifully decorated. It was spotlessly clean. So thoughtful too with an extra mat by the door which allows you to wipe the dogs paws before going in to the lodge, plus the sofa covers in case your dog wants to sit with you. The site itself is so quiet, we heard no noise at all. The people on the site were very friendly. We spoke to some owners who said it was always quiet at any time of the year (they had owned theirs for 14 years) The views are incredible. The dog walking field up the hill was fantastic. We were blown away by this lodge and site so much that we booked again and are back in two weeks time. Absolutely loved it. (We couldn’t find any instructions on whether we needed to strip the beds at the end of our stay or not, so we left them as they were, we hope this was ok) Thank you so much, can’t wait to come back.. What a lovely lodge.

Spottless. Everything you could possibly need. Comfortable bed ( We didn’t use the singles) and sofas. Site was quiet as we had been promised as we wanted to escape the fireworks. Dog walk up the slop opposite the lodge was a fantastic bonus. Lots of lovely villages and towns to visit in the area and the weather for November was conducive to getting out and about. Would recommend.

The views are beautiful to wake up to so quiet and relaxing The field for the dogs is a big bonus they could run free and let off some energy I would recommend this Beautiful lodge and I most definitely we be back . We have just had four days in this lovely lodge.

It's a very clean well equipped lodge, everything you needed and more. The bedding the towels , the kitchen equipment were all high quality, it's a very spacious lodge which was great for our blind Shin Tzu to move around. The decking had everything you would want and great views.Thank you for the hamper you left .We would love to come back, it's also in a area for getting around North Yorkshire. We have loved our stay here. Highly recommend.

This is the first time we have stayed in a lodge.

Usually we rent cottages, but we couldn't find one that fitted our criteria at the time. What a pleasant surprise. It was absolutely lovely. The attention to detail to make sure the guests had a comfortable stay was outstanding. We rarely go back to the same place twice, but this will be the exception to the rule. Five star all the way. The welcome pack was very thoughtful. One of our best holidays ever.

I am sorry I didn't leave review in book we had a family emergency and had to leave early.

Regarding lodge it was everything you could wish for clean comfortable very quiet and peaceful owner should be proud of this property would definitely stay again

A perfect base for peace and quiet.

Plus a really well maintained site with a fantastic area set aside to walk your dog. The lodge was immaculate and had a lovely feel about it, a lot of natural light too, which I find really good. A great location if you like walking, plenty of places to visit, made even nicer by knowing that you've got a tranquil base to return to of an evening. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

I recently had a lovely stay in Rashierigg lodge with my Mum.

The lodge is beautiful, very well maintained and equipped and we had everything we needed including coffee machine and panini toaster. There are books and games provided too. The lodge is really nicely furnished and is comfortable and cosy in the evening with lamps and candles on and the fire stick tv offers a great range of tv choices. We were lucky enough to have nice weather and enjoyed the comfortable outdoor furniture. We didn’t use it ourselves but there is a large bbq and a hammock. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us containing tea, coffee pods, biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. Also loved having dishwasher and washing machine pods provided and soap, shampoo and conditioner in both bathrooms - these owners have thought of and provided everything. I’ve stayed in many lodges and this is by far the nicest and most well equipped I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. Badgers retreat is a small, well kept and quiet site and has amazing countryside views. It is very close to beautiful Richmond and to plenty of shops and eateries on Catterick garrison.

Oven door wouldnt close fully and not enough crockery to use dishwasher.

Need more cups and spoons.Otherwise good.

Lovely stay in a well looked after lodge in a peaceful location that had everything you needed.

Lovely clean and spacious lodge, with lovely views with everything you could need and thank you for the welcome pack it was much appreciated.

Only a couple of issues would make this a 5 star. A bread bin would have been useful, especially in the warmer weather. and we found the main bed very hard, It needed a mattress topper for us to have a more comfortable sleep. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay. Thank you Pete & Pat

The stay was lovely and we had a such a great time staying in the countryside that we would love to to do it again.

Lodge was ok.

Listing states there is a car parking space to rear of the property but no one advised us that this was not available due to being built. Had to park few metres down which was inconvenient to unload / load car and carry everything to the lodge. Was with my elderly mum so at night it was very dark with little lighting so walking on unsteady pathway was difficult for her. Spent a lot of time trying to get sound out of the TV. It has a sound bar attached but didn’t give instructions that you had to press the source button 3 times for it to connect to Tv. Very frustrating. The lodge would benefit from automatic security light outside . They do tell you to put porch light on for the dark but this is something you don’t think about when you leave at the beginning of the day. Overall the lodge was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels were given and a good information book on local amenities and attractions.

The lodge was excellent, clean and comfortable, the location was also brilliant, what let's it down slightly is the access, the car parking is precarious and the footpath down to the lodge dangerous it needs tarmacing and a solid handrail.

A note for your instructions Rashierigg is no longer the last on the left, 4 more lodges have been built and the name is hardly visible from the roadway.

Absolutely loved this lodge and the beautiful views from the decking.

The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. The site was a real retreat. It was so peaceful, exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to get away from hectic lives and needing some peace, quiet and relaxation in a lovely natural setting.

What a fantastic lodge, very homely and spacious, quiet surroundings but not far from the shops and restaurants etc.

We had a very comfortable long weekend at Rashierigg.

It had everything we needed, and was a superb base for us to explore North Yorkshire. The parking is very steep, but that’s the only negative, the high-spec lodge and lovely views make up for it in spades.

Rashierigg accomodation was excellent.

The alloted parking spot was not really fit for purpose. We arrived after heavy snow. During the first night our car slid a couple of feet down the slope only stopping when it slid into the wooden surround. Had it not been for that framework the car could have gone down the steep embankment and possibly onto other lodges below. After a couple of dayswe managed to extracate the car and find alternative parking. A better alternative needs to be found and other users need to be aware.

Wonderful lodge, the best we’ve stayed in and we’ve been to a few.

The facilities are great, everything has been thought of, the double bedroom has a walk in wardrobe, the twin built in wardrobes, more than enough storage and the showers have great pressure. The site is very quiet and peaceful, a great place to relax. Bliss!
