Birch Cottage

The cottage was spotless.

It had most of what we needed, the owners were very accommodating with what extras we needed. The area is very close to Scarborough centre and attractions and has lovely woody walks, fishing and biking areas around it. It was also lovely to hand feed the resident peacocks. We didn’t realise the cottages were so close to a camp site with tents and caravans as neighbours. There was trouble with the campers fighting and making excessive noise. But not the fault of the owners, who delt with the issue quickly the next day. I guess I just wish the set of cottages were more isolated. With a more private hot tub area. But the view was amazing - looking at Scarborough castle and the sea while soaking was lovely

Beautiful little cottage with stunning views.

Beds were very comfortable, place was spotless. Hot tub was fabulous and much needed after a 50k charity hike. Freddy the resident peacock is beautiful watch, and gets very close. Didn’t bother us, but he is a little noisy early in the morning. Pub on site is reasonable. Overall, really enjoyed it. If you’re travelling when it’s hot, might be worth taking your own fan as they don’t have any.

The accommodation is a little overpriced as it is.

Once finished the asking price could possibly be justified. Missing downpipe allowing rain water to land on the decking, trim on partition fence loose, some decking planks with little support beneath. The 'garden' amounted to a strip of overgrown land adjacent to the decking but not easily accessible. The whole lodge could be very nice once completed.

I couldn’t find any fault with the accommodation or the staff it was just perfect thank you for a fantastic visit we will 100% be coming back every year

Great cottage and great location bonus on the licensed bar on site and hot food aswell as a big field for dogs to play on.

Only negative about the cottage but really a negative is that it didn't have a tv in bedroom, but that's just something I like but already booked again for next year cos it is a good site

Clean and fresh looking as we walked in.

Well equipped kitchen. Quality bed linen and comfortable beds. Comfortable cozy lounge area. Hot tub perfect temperature. We had three dogs and three adults and space was more than enough. Even room for one large dog crate for my large dog who counter serfs. Very impressed. Only fault we found was the hot water was very hot. Not a problem for us. But maybe for people with children. We all had a lovely time.

The toilet moved.

The sofa was far too small for 4 people. The towels had lots of bits on them. The toilet brush was dirty. Hot tub and decking was nice though.
