Visit the village of Staithes to stock up on necessities and sample one of the many restaurants, including pubs, takeaways, restaurants, tea rooms, and traditional fish & chips. In 109 miles of breathtaking landscape, rugged moors, tranquil shoreline, and a variety of charming communities, the Cleveland Way offers an exhilarating walk through the magnificent North York Moors National Park. Although Honeysuckle Lodge is generally clean the sofas and the dining chairs could do with a good wash as they are stained and dirty and the outside door mat is disgusting.
The TV is a nightmare its a Freesat TV and the only way we could get live TV was through the internet. If you are a larger size person good luck getting in and out of the shower the shower door is the smallest opening I have come across. On a positive side the bed is extremely comfy. The hot tub was lovely and relaxing.
We loved it so much we have already re booked for next year!
One suggestion we would have is that it could do with a floor mop

Perfectly hidden away paddock with only few other lodges making it private, nice a quiet for relaxing , pet friendly which is a huge must for us . The site is always maintained to a high standard and the lodges well cared for . Wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay, nice spacious place ,great location next to the Cleveland way, lovely pub on the doorstep, only thing I'd change is TV in the bedroom and some pictures on the walls.
Looks a bit clinical not as homely as it could be. Hot tub would be cramped for 4 people great for a couple ,enjoyed and would recommend though.

Had a lovely stay in Honeysuckle lodge.
It was well presented, clean and tidy. The enclosed decking was perfect for our dog, and the hot tub was great too. The kitchen was well resourced and we had everything we needed. The bed was a little uncomfortable for me though, but adequate enough. The location was great being so close the bay and we enjoyed many walks and visiting nearby Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby. The pub also served nice food too annd was dog friendly. Overall, I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back as we enjoyed our stay so much.

We had a great stay.
Great facilities and location. We were unable to start the cooker but after a short phone call to the number left for any issues this was rectified straight away. The only thing we would change was the mattress in the main bedroom which was really uncomfortable and gave us both an uncomfy nights sleep.

The lodge was well situated for visiting local sights.
It was pet friendly, but did not supply dog bowls, etc. There was a one person tea pot in a 4-person accommodation?. We could not make the oven work. No instructions were found. It was nicely furnished. The hot tub was great. The lane to the unit was unlit, so walking back from the Pub on the gravely lane was a little iffy. All in all it was a very nice stay.

First impressions were good.
Nice quiet site. We had a good 6 days walking the coastal paths to Staithes, Whitby, Sandsend and Saltburn. The bus service was great and The Runswick Bay was a nice pub offering great food at reasonable prices. The hot tub a welcoming bonus after a long day of walking.

This is our second time staying at Paddock Lodges and it didn't disappoint.
Honeysuckle Lodge was fantastic. Clean and well presented, it had everything we needed. The site is quiet and your veranda is private and secluded. Runswick Bay is beautiful and the pub was great. Lovely food and friendly staff. I would definitely come back again and would not hesitate in choosing Honeysuckle lodge again. Thanks
Lodge was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and had everything you could have required.
Lodge is situated in a quiet location, couple of minutes walk to the Runswick Bay Hotel and a 5 minute walk to the beach (down a very steep hill!) fantastic stay and a great base to explore the beautiful coastline.
Lovely peaceful location, to allow you to explore the beautiful Yorkshire seaside and country.

Lovely clean lodge nice little touches everything was there that you needed great outside space lovely hot tub the only downside single bed was uncomfortable with a lump in the middle thought the king size mattress was thin and uncomfortable great powerful shower

Overall the lodge was lovely, loved the comfy sofas and excellent hot tub.
The only thing letting it down was the cleanliness in some areas ie: the kitchen floor was dirty and there was a chewed dog toy sticking out under the plinth,not sure how it could have been missed. The kettle was really grimy on the outside. The bin had food all round the rim, again very noticeable and several plates and dishes were dirty, obviously hadn’t been checked. All the issues were just housekeeping, I would like to think we would return if these were rectified. Thankyou for a lovely stay

I recently stayed at Honeysuckle Lodge at Runswick Bay, and it was a wonderful experience.

The lodge was very very nice and every thing was there.
Had to clear the filters of the hoover due to not picking up. The hoover was very dirty and caked in mud. Shame about the weather especially Wednesday never stopped raining,but still had a great time and would consider going to Runswick Bay again.

Our fifth visit here but the first since the re configuration (there were 4 lodges and now 9).
Now that the lodges are closer together you have to be aware of being overlooked. As usual, spotlessly clean, very warm and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The oven was a bit of an IQ challenge as there were no instructions, so discovering how to turn it on and what the various settings meant was not easy. As for the TV good luck with that! The only missing item was a chopping board as any food had to be prepared on the work top. When all lodges are in use parking will be very tight especially if anyone comes in two vehicles. We shall definitely be back!

These are brand new units and therefore very well kitted out and immaculate with a pub doing great food at the bottom of the drive.
The lodge is really a 2+2 and not a 4 x adults. The lodges are quite close together and when fully occupied the site will be extremely tight for access, parking and manoeuvring. There were no instructions for how to operate the oven nor anywhere to hang/leave wet coats and muddy boots

We just returned from a lovely 3 day break at Honeysuckle lodge.
Very clean, very comfortable, and well equipped! The site again very clean and private. The beautiful Runswick Bay is only 5 minutes walk away (very steep hill), recommend the Royal Hotel for a meal. The only small gripe is we did have a struggle turning the hot tub off and turning the oven on - copies of instruction manuals would be useful. Very relaxing stay, just what we needed

A lovely comfy and cozy lodge.
Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hot tub was excellent after nice long walks. The little plot has been extended since we were there last year and the hot tub was such a bonus. It’s a lovely quiet spot with hotel close by that does delicious food served by nice friendly staff. The only downside was poor Wi-Fi…… however…… We had such a lovely relaxing holiday and hope to return in the near future.

A fabulous lodge in a beautiful spot.
After a very long journey from South Wales, arriving at the beautifully clean, well-equipped Lodge was a relief and the wonderful hot tub helped us to relax immediately and the get the holiday started!! The welcome package was a lovely surprise too and much appreciated. The high quality smart TV and hot tub were lovely little luxuries whilst all the necessities were met with clean rooms, clean bedding and towels, iron and board, plenty of storage and a well- equipped kitchen. We stayed for a week and the owners were extremely responsive. They could be seen on site and any questions were answered very quickly via phone and/or text - very helpful and friendly. Runswick Bay is a beautiful spot. The beautiful beach was only a short walk away but for those with any accessibility should be aware that the hill to the beach is extremely steep. But there is a car park at the bottom of the hill if you need it. The beach and village is well worth a visit and the climb! The lodge is very well placed for trips to Staithes, Sandsend, Whitby and further afield. The local buses travelled to these places regularly and the bus stops are right outside the site. If you enjoy walking, the coastal path is pretty much on your doorstep and well worth a trek for beautiful views. We day tripped to York by train which I would highly recommend, rather than driving! We drove to Yarm Station, about 30 mins away, and had an easy train ride into the centre of York. We had a wonderful week and I would highly recommend Honeysuckle Lodge at Paddock Lodges.

Lovely lodge, hot tub was a perfect addition.
The blinds kept falling off the bathroom windows, they need securely fixing. Could do with blinds in bedroom windows, v bright in a morning. Unfortunately main bed was very uncomfortable, kept sinking in the middle. Overall, great lodge in a beautiful setting. Would definitely consider booking again, easy access (very steep) walk to a beautiful beach, access to the bus to whitby which was easy to use.

Overall a very nice caravan , comfortable and clean.
Could do with plastic tumblers for drinks in hot tub and blackout blinds on east facing bedroom windows as sun woke us up early every morning.

The lodge was lovely and clean, in a quiet setting.
We thought a blackout blind would be better in the bedrooms as the light woke us up very early, a pity the wash basins were so small, but the shower was amazing! Excellent water pressure. Also a privacy screen/higher fence opposite the hot tub would be better as it looked onto next doors window and didn’t feel private but the hot tub was fabulous. On the last day one of the crew said it was ok for me to use the camping field to exercise our dog I wish I had known this on arrival, maybe it could be put in the guest book or a sign on the fence. (Which he did say they were going to do) We had a lovely relaxing dog friendly break with lots of walking and exploring.

Very nice, comfortable and well equipped lodge in nice peaceful site.
Very handy for the local seaside towns. Hot tub very nice. Only slight grumble that WiFi wasn't consistent. Very slow at times.
