Huckleberry
Description
Staithes 2.4 miles.
Situated on the wonderful grounds of The Pines at Runswick Bay on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, is the attractive ground-floor lodge of Huckleberry.
Boasting stylish and contemporary interiors throughout, this gorgeous self-catering cottage provides a fabulous setting for small family getaway to the awe-inspiring coast of North Yorkshire.
Be welcomed into a restful open-plan living space, perfect for socialising with your nearest and dearest as you enjoy a quiet evening indoors.
Take to the pretty sage green kitchen and discover a sea of appliances and utensils, as you take to the handy gas stove to prepare a hearty home-cooked dinner.
Chat with friends at the breakfast bar as you pour a tasty glass of wine, before taking a seat at the dining table and devouring a tasty family feast.
Retire to the plush grey sofa or curl up in the inviting armchair, flicking on the impressive TV and watching as flames flicker within the woodburning-effect stove.
On warmer nights be sure to indulge in dinner alfresco out on the patio, cracking open a perfectly chilled bottle of bubbly and toasting to the good times that lie ahead.
Wander back inside to the warm embrace of one of the two beautifully decorated bedrooms including a double that benefits from a well-designed en-suite, and a twin.
The lodge also boasts an airy bathroom featuring both a bath and a shower over, so guests can choose how to get ready for the day that lies ahead.
When you can just about manage to tear yourself away from this homely dwelling, embark on a relaxing stroll down to the soft white sands of Runswick Bay Beach, stopping off at the local café for a spot of breakfast along the way.
Continue along the coast to Saltburn-by-the-Sea for a awe-inspiring journey on the Saltburn Cliff Tramway.
Take a wander along the pier watching as boats bob in the waters, and explore the wonderful Saltburn Gill Nature Reserve.
Travel to Whitby and be blown away by the Gothic remains of Whitby Abbey and the 12th century architecture of St Mary's Church.
Head back down the steep 199 Steps to Whitby Beach, spotting the great Whalebone Arch as you go.
Take a tour of the seas with the Whitby Whale Watching Trip, or head inland to the North York Moors National Park for a thrilling hike through Bridestones, Crosscliff & Blakey Topping.
For the ultimate escape to the coast, be sure to book Huckleberry.

What guests are saying
The lodge is comfortable and has what you need to make your break good, however there are a few disappointing aspects like some chipped crockery and some torn upholstery which just take the edge off.
The lodge overall could benefit from an update to make its appearance better Overall tho despite these small things, the location is great and generally it was acceptable accommodation
Crockery was awful Carpet was very worn in places and dirty Lovely large lodge but the exterior needs cleaning really decking / lodge exterior was missing paint and settee cushions were dirty.
Otherwise very nice location and park.
The lodge was perfect everything you needed.
We could have easily moved in!!!
