What guests are saying
The lodge was beautifully clean and well maintained, and the same went for the hot tub which was positioned carefully for maximum privacy.
The village (lower village) of Runswick Bay is absolutely stunning, well worth the steep walk back up to the lodge. The only very minor downside was the lack of a few cooking tools (baking trays, wooden spoons), but just pack your own if you need them. The kitchen was otherwise very well equipped. We definitely plan to come back next year.
We as a family really enjoyed staying at mayflower Lodge, lovely and clean place, I liked that items were provided ie washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, tea towels etc.
Short walk to the beach just a lovely place to stay, we've already said we will come back and stay.
We stayed here at Mayflower Lodge for 4 nights.
Though we enjoyed our stay there were a few minor issues. The seated area outside was uncovered and the cushions on the seats were wet so couldn't use, the cover was lying beside but was ripped so that could do with replacing. Inside there was an issue with the shower as the water wasn't running away and reached the top of the shower tray, i reported the issue which was dealt with quickly, someone came and plunged the drain while we were out but left all debris in the tray it didn"t fix the issue but flowed better than it did but the following day there was a bottle of drain cleaner left outside when we arrived back, i then poured some down the drain and left it and it solved the issue. Also my son saw a beer can that had been left under the bed, so maybe housekeeping should be bit more thorough when cleaning. Apart from those issues the lodge was lovely especially the hottub
