We had a lovely stay at seaside lodge, home from home and the pie was lovely too thank you

Seagull lodge was a fabulous base for our weeks holiday.

Beautiful location, peaceful and the lodge was spotless. Great welcome hamper was a nice gesture and much appreciated. Myself, wife Kirsty and Archie our labrador had day trips to Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay and Helmsley. Louise (owner) was lovely and even brought a yummy Yorkshire curd tart round for us on the Wednesday. Weather was superb and we didn’t want to go home! Hoping to return in 2027.

Great attention to detail and those little extras make holidays extra special.

Seagull lodge was a perfect place to stay for the week at Runswick.

It is well equipped, spacious, clean and well maintained. We loved using the terrace, and didn’t feel over looked. The Pines is very private with it being a gated area. Louise and Terry made us very welcome with a treat basket and even a delicious homemade tart ! It was a few minutes walk to Runswick Bay Hotel and few more to get to the Beautiful beach with café and pub. The bus stop just around the corner is great to hop onto the next beach/town along the coast. Also very easy to join the Cleaveland way both ways , which is stunning to walk. We will be returning!

What a lovely property in a great situation.

Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Louise was a great host, making us feel very welcome. Everything you needed in the lodge and very clean. The welcome pack was a great bonus much appreciated. Lovely walks close by….what more could you need. Hope to see you next year.

A lovely week in Seagull Lodge.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped with a fab welcome hamper. The owner Louise came to see us when we arrived and brought a delicious Yorkshire Tart later in the week. Coastal path is a short walk away from the lodge, as is the local pub, Runswick Bay Hotel and very dog friendly. Would definitely book again. Debbie, Joe & Monty

Seagul Lodge is a little gem with the perfect location I like the fact the site was gated.

The lodge was spotlessly clean nice and warm and cosy the kitchen was so well stocked with everything you could need including an air fryer.A hamper had been placed on the counter top for when we arrived Terry gave us a call in the evening to make sure we were settled and all was well.During our week there Louise popped round and brought us a huge home made curd which was divine .The bedding was of a good quaand there was always plenty of hot water all in all it was the best weeks holiday we have had in a long time and would highly recommend to anyone in fact we are going to book again for early next year.Thankyou Terry and Louise for you hospitality it was perfect you really go that extra mile Dave and Debby Tate xx

Lovely well equipped, comfortable modern lodge.

Quiet location and just a short walk to the runswick bay hotel where they serve delicious food and are very dog friendly.

Stunning Lodge couldn't fault it ,very comfortable and clean.

Had a lovely stay at Seagull lodge, we had everything we needed Louise made us most welcome we were left two bottles of wine and some goodies on arrival.

Would highly recommend staying at this venue the scenery around the area was breathtaking..We will be back again for sure..

Has everything needed for a self catering holiday. Lovely and clean and a beautiful welcome pack.

What a fantastic lodge, very clean, everything you need, welcome basket appreciated as well as the midweek tart.

The only thing i would say is that we was a tad disappointed there was no wood burning stove as stated on Sykes site. Easy access to nearby towns and places of interest. Thank you for having us

Terry and Louise go beyond expectations with a superb welcome package and a beautifully presented midweek tart. We enjoyed our week immensely, so much so that we have booked for later in the year. Thankyou Terry and Louise and see you in June

Very clean, comfortable and well equiped.

The only problem was with your joining instructions. The combination to the entrance gate is 1944 followed by the arrow key pointing towards the gate. When we arrived it was fairly dark and despite lighting on the key pad its hard to see the arrow key let alone knowing to use it! Please update your instructions as I gather we are not the first to encounter gaining initial access.

The highlight of the week was the fabulous fresh lobster prepared and delivered by Louise followed by fruit tarts. Truly 5 star!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seagull Lodge.

It is one of a dozen or so lodges in a quiet, secure and nicely landscaped section of the park. The lodge itself is modern, spacious and very well equipped. We slept really well, the beds are very comfortable and there are TV's in both bedrooms. The owners are on hand should you need anything; we received a welcome call from Louise and found a basket of treats and milk in the fridge. Terry popped by during the week and we were left a lovely fruit tart - delicious, thank you! A couple of very minor points; we like to recycle but there does not seem to be the facility on the park, only general waste. Some hooks in the bathrooms would be useful and a couple more baking trays and oven glove for the kitchen. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return!

Very relaxing, clean and spacious holiday lodge.

Lovely quiet holiday park in a perfect location with a short walk to the beach of Runswick Bay and local pubs for food or drinks. The welcome hamper of treats was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Will definitely book this lodge again in the future.

Lovely lodge and very comfortable, very well cared for Only small point we have and it’s very small , was the deck was not swept before we came It was full of cobwebs ( even on the furniture) As I say it’s very small point , overall very nice and the welcome call from Louise was a nice touch

Seagull Lodge is a lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the world .

Louise and Terry were available to contact in case we needed them but also left us to enjoy our holiday. They also provided us with some goodies in a welcome pack and some delicious midweek tarts . A perfect place to stay for our dog who didn't want to leave ! We will be back . Thankyou

Lodge was super.

It was very comfortable and very clean and well equipped. Very generous welcome pack and hosts were attentive to any queries. Runswick is lovely and is a great place to stay if you hope to explore the coastline. Lots to see and explore lots of great pubs close to the lodge. All dog friendly. Would love to return and would recommend to others.

Hosts very friendly and left lovely welcome basket and mid week treat. Well furnished. Comfy main bedroom with ensuite and TV. Not advertised but twin room also had TV. Dining table has seating for 6 which pics don't show. Weather did turn chilly in evening but heating soon warmed it up. Nearby access to Cleveland Way. Bus stop 5 mins to Whitby or Middlesbrough. Local pub, also 5 mins, did lovely meal. Would definitely return.

Can’t rate it highly enough for its comfort cleanliness & fabulous welcome package. Owners are available but not intrusive. The site is very peaceful and wonderful coastal walks are on your doorstep. Highly recommend.

we loved staying at the property, it had everything you could hope for in a property and the owners were great, nothing was a problem for them, they also made us a fruit tart for us to enjoy, which we did.

The site is well maintained and peaceful. Absolutely beautiful area with the beach only a short walk away. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome.

We had a fantastic holiday staying at Seagull Lodge.

It is superbly located to either stay put and enjoy Runswick bay or explore the surrounding area. We had a great meal at the Runswick Bay hotel, the beach is lovely, great for relaxing and also good for fossil hunting which we got a bit addicted to. In our week we visited Robins Hood bay, Whitby, Scarborough, Saltburn (fantastic beach and places to eat, if you like your steak then the Tomahawk steakhouse is excellent) and did a day at Flamingo land which isn't too far away. The Lodge itself was spotless, spacious for the 4 of us and very well appointed. We weren't left wanting for anything. Host Louise is on the ball! She immediately gave us a call as soon as we arrived to make sure everything was ok and she was just a call or WhatsApp message away if we needed anything, that makes a huge difference. She also offered fresh dressed lobster (at cost price) which we opted for and were absolutely delicious, and we were treated to a fresh fruit tart midweek, a lovely touch and also delicious. It was a real drag packing up to come home. We will definitely be looking to return here in the future. Thank you.

Excellent in every way.

Tastefully appointed, extremely well maintained and very comfortable - especially the bed! It is difficult to think of anything which could be added to the equipment or fittings which might improve the experience, although I did find the shower control in the en suite rather too stiff for my arthritic wrist. However, this is not really an issue as there is always the bathroom, and anywayTerry is aware of it. The welcome pack was easily the most generous we have had anywhere and the entries in the visitors' book all commented on the superb midweek fruit tart - quite right, too! Terry was there when we arrived, Louise came later to welcome us and to see how we had settled and altogether they could scarcely have been more hospitable or helpful through the week. Totally recommended!

We had a wonderful week in Seagull Lodge.

It was extremely comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Terry and Louise were wonderful hosts,extremely helpful and left us a fantastic welcome pack and a delicious midweek fruit tart. The park itself is very tranquil and beautully maintained. Had some great meals in the Runswick Bay Hotel which is very close and the Badger Hounds in Hinderwell. Booking first is a good idea. Staithes,Sandsend and Whitby were all love places to visit and very close, and Runswick Bay itself is beautiful, check the tide times. The area is very dog friendly and Hector our springador loved it .We shall return!

Lovely holiday.

Seagull Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed, including the little things that aren’t always included like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin liners etc - makes all the difference. Very much appreciated the lovely welcome basket as well.

Seagull Lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday it is on a nice site and is a 10 minute walk away from the top of Runswick Bay.

Nearby you have a local village and a good regular bus service .Host's Terry and Louise are around if you need anything (the fruit tart delivered midweek was lovely)We will return again soon hopefully

What a fabulous holiday we have had.

The lodge was absolutely amazing. Booking, arrival instructions etc were so easy to follow. Upon arrival we were met with a spotlessly clean, secure site. The lodge was delightful, a fantastic welcome pack was there to greet us along with a warm welcome from Terry & Louise the owners. The facilities at Seagull Lodge were wonderful. The Hive heating meant that we were always comfortable and warm. The lodge is spacious and included absolutely everything we needed for our week away. The dishwasher and washing machine/dryer meant that we had home comforts at our fingertips. Our dogs were made very welcome too and enjoyed the treats left for them. We will definitely be back! The lodge was stunning!

A very comfortable home from home. The drying cupboard as you come into the lodge is great when you have wet and muddy clothes/shoes! The Pines is a very quiet and exclusive site. Cooking xmas lunch in a cooker that isn't yours was fun to say the least! The Runswick Bay Hotel in the village, The Badger Hounds in Hinderwell and the Cod & Lobster in Staithes are all well worth the visit - all food was out of this world! Great walks to the beach and on the Cleveland Way for the dog. Visited Whitby and Sandsend - lovely. If I could just make a couple of friendly suggestions: Need hooks on the back of the main bedroom en-suite door for towels. The quilt on the kingsize bed was too small for the quilt cover. Lamp in the twin bedroom didn't work, but found another lamp in the wardrobe to swap it for. One of the lamps in the main bedroom was loose near the shade. Couple of bulbs in the spot lights in the living room/kitchen didn't work. We loved it so much, that we have booked for xmas 2022! Can't wait.

Warm, cosy, clean and in a great location for the Cleveland Way and Runswick Bay beach. Lovely pubs and places to eat close by. Ideal base to explore Yorkshire moors and coast. The owners were fabulous. Nothing too much trouble. Not that we had any issues. Everything was perfect. Welcome goodies and midweek treat a bonus. Thank you.

Set on a small quiet self contained section of the park that added to the very enjoyable relaxing time we had. The owners are very friendly and helpful, providing a very extensive welcome pack and a very special homemade treat on Wednesday that cannot fail to please! We would be very happy to recommend the lodge to our family and friends and hope to return ourselves in the future.

It was immaculate and surprisingly spacious with lots of storage and all mod cons in a beautiful quiet setting and there was a thoughtful welcome pack which we didn’t expect when we arrived. The owner was friendly but not intrusive. We would definitely book again or recommend to friends.

Just returned from a superb holiday at Seagull Lodge.

Quite expensive but facilities were excellent and the whole lodge was beautifully clean and comfortable. Pillows a little thin but plenty of them so slept on two. Terry and Louise the owners are available for any issues which may arise and are always willing to help. Fabulous welcome pack on arrival and Louise also made us pastries in the middle of the week. Thank you very much for that. Would not hesitate to recommend or indeed book the lodge ourselves for a return visit.

Seagull lodge is bright, clean, modern and plenty spacious enough for four adults.

With the outdoor area it had everything we needed for our holiday. The lodge is also very well equipped, especially the kitchen. Terry and Louise went out of their way to make us feel welcome and see that all our needs were met.

We found Seagull Lodge to be even more amazing than the photos indicate.

The lodge is decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard, complete with everything …. if not more … than you will need during your stay. Terry and Louise were so considerate, and ensured that we were comfortable and happy during our stay …. even down to personally delivering us some treats, making sure we were ok, and advising on places to visit. All in all, we had an absolutely fantastic week and would have no hesitation in recommending Seagull Lodge. We definitely will be visiting again - thank you so much Terry and Louise!

The Seagull Lodge was better than the pictures!

Louise and Terry called us a couple of days before arrival to check if there was anything extra we needed (bedding etc.), and we're contactable during the stay if anything else was required. The Pines is a lovely gated area, easily accessible and very nice surroundings! Overall very pleased with the lodge and would definitely stay there again.

Seagull Lodge is an extremely well appointed and comfortable holiday home in a small secure gated community.

The area is beautiful with lots of walks, history and places to eat. The owners provided a very well considered welcome pack which was a pleasant surprise, as was the excellent glazed fruit tart that arrived during our stay! All in all we had a wonderful time and cannot recommend Seagull Lodge highly enough to other holiday makers, and we will definitely be back.

This was our first visit to Seagull Lodge and we had a great time.

It's a great location for walking and our dog Kodie really enjoyed himself. The Lodge had everything we needed, was well furnished, and very clean. Wow! What a charming lodge! Best we have ever stayed in. Clean, pretty, homely and has all you need. Met lodge owner Louise she was friendly and they left us with a beautiful hamper. Gets a 10 from us! Thank you for the midweek treat!
