Quiet site comfortable all round
We had a lovely holiday with lovely accommodation.
Would definitely go back. Only thing that was missing and this is not criticism was a park for little ones and maybe a washing machine.
Tulip lodge was very well maintained, a nice clean hot tub, spotless lodge and comfortable stay.

It was all really lovely the lodge and the hottub were fantastic the kids really enjoyed themselves.
Worth every penny the kitchen and living room were very homely and well equipped the setting around the lodge was lovely job well done. Only things and they were little. Were the single beds were very small and uncomfortable 2 teens in there id make it a double bed and have a pull out sofa bed Lights didnt work around the lodge fencing so when getting in and out the hottub or walking around the area you couldnt really see, I know our own stupid fault for not putting away but I bumped into a foot stool and burised my leg. Also more private around the hottub the fence around part it was covered
Lovely clean lodge in a great location tucked away behind the runswick bay hotel, very close walk to the beach and ideal location for coastal walking, was nice having a relax in the hot tub after a long coastal walk, would recommend and book again.
Always really enjoyed our stay with sykes cottages.
This has been our 4 time and are planning on returning next year. :)

Clean and quiet property.
Unfortunately the recliner sofa is broken - a previous review mentioned this and it has not been resolved. The twin beds are actually narrow camp beds really rather than true singles - very uncomfortable. Signs of general wear and tear around the property.

Nice lodge but lacks a little maintenance.
Inside fridge door shelf was completely snapped off . One of the reclining seats on the sofa was broken . Single bed mattress not great, poor lighting in the bathroom and tin opener completely shot!. Had a nice stay . Nice quiet area. Good location for us.

Not for us I’m afraid.
Too small, 9 lodges crammed into a small space, no view, no privacy. The only hot tub I’ve sat in with my entire upper body above the water! Tried to leave a suitable review elsewhere but surprisingly can’t find the accommodation! I’ll keep looking. Won’t be back.

We loved our stay in Tulip Lodge, it was absolutely perfect.
Very comfortable and with everything you need. Set in lovely grounds which are very peaceful. Hot tub was amazing and very private. Great enclosed area for our dog which wraps around the cabin. Outdoor seating was really nice too. We will be 100% returning next year we enjoyed it and the area so much. Perfect.

Hi realy enjoyed our time away even tho it was just a short break this was our third time away in Sykes lodges on this site and we have booked again for next year also they are spotlessly clean well maintained there is nothing to complain about what so ever 10/10 from me Jan

We enjoyed our stay at Tulip Lodge, it was very clean with lovely furnishings.
The shower was decent, everything provided in the kitchen, and a smart tv (useful for the kids in the evening). It's just a few minutes walk (down a steep hill) to a lovely beach. We had a meal at the Runswick Bay Hotel which was very good and on the doorstep. It's close to Whitby where we spent a day. Overall a great choice.

Had a great week in the caravan hot tub was fantastic nice and private only things was a few cobwebs and no hoover or brush in the caravan

Lights on the decking didn't work so was walking to the hot tub in the dark wasn't the best.
Everything else was lovely beautiful lodge nice and warm.

Tulip lodge was lovely, in a nice quiet secluded area.
All the lodges are well spaced out so you could enjoy your own space. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with all the utensils needed for cooking & doing your own food. The hot tub was excellent, very clean & obviously well maintained we enjoyed a dip in that each day before chilling out in the evening. The only bit of feedback I would give on a downside was there were no towel rails (apart from the towel radiators) & the mirrors were too high on the wall to sit on the stools to use productively to do make up & dry hair etc… apart from that (which is a minor detail) we had a wonderful relaxing stay & would definitely recommend to other people to go there. We were only a short drive away from Whitby & Saltburn-By-The-Sea so loads of opportunities for exploring around the area. Has a wonderful week & will definitely go back again. Had a fantastic few days at Tulip Lodge - only wished we’d booked for longer!
Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed & the hot tub was a real luxury. The site is lovely & quiet with only 7 lodges. Parking right next to lodge which was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

No lighting from leaving the hotel car park to the park itself Keysafe would not open on arrival Thermostat did not work for the heating Tv channels for terrestrial tv did not work One handled saucepan Kitchen utensils lack of Shame because these little things let it down also the shower needs a proper clean and dark dog hair was on the Carpet in large clumps under the table Hot tub was good and safety was good Guttering near the hot tub in poor state

Regarding the lack of lighting from the car park to the park, it's due to our location within the North Yorkshire Moors national park, where dark sky conditions are in place. This means we aren't allowed street lamps, but every lodge does have its own external light to help with visibility. We've recently made changes to our housekeeping procedures to address the cleanliness issues you mentioned. A well presented lodge with all the extras you could possibly need for your stay The welcome pack of tea,coffee, sugar,milk, crisps, biscuits and a bottle of wine was a lovely surprise The lodge is set in fantastic location quite and peaceful only 7 lodges well spaced out with your own parking space right outside the lodge and the best part was the hot tub in there every evening

I booked this lodge based on its facilities, wifi, and hot tub, not its location.
The reason for the short break was my autistic son's birthday. He loved his room, and the hot tub but the lack of working wifi caused some drama. I wouldn't class this lodge as having wifi because it never worked. I did call the mobile number to try and get it sorted but unfortunately they weren't on site. I would come back in a heartbeat with just the wife. Clean, well presented, lovely site and great area. Loved the bay. What amazing views.

Tulip lodge was a fantastic lodge.
It was modern, spacious and clean. The site was quiet. Runswick Bay was amazing. The local pub was a 2 minute walk and so friendly. Including the gorgeous dog!! There was just 2 things that were disappointing, however they are not criticisms, just personal preferences. The WiFi was not great at all and this was a reason I booked the lodge. I know this may not bother most people and it may have been the whole area not just the lodge. We booked Tulip lodge as we thought it might be more private for the hot tub. Unfortunately it was next to gardens. We were very unlucky as for the first half of the holiday, the garden had very noisy people most of the time. This stopped us sitting outside. Luckily they were not there for the second half of the holiday. Again, this is just something that affected us and we may have just been unlucky, so again, it is not a criticism. We would definitely come back as it was a fantastic holiday. The bonus were the treats that were left for us including a bottle of prosecco which was an amazing touch. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Absolutely lovely lodge situated just 5 mins walk from the beach (albeit up a very steep hill).
The quality of the decor & furnishings is excellent and the lodge is equipped with everything you require for a break away. The addition of the hot tub is also an added bonus especially after a long day of walking along the Cleveland Way. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return. Thank you.
