Description

Primrose Lodge is a neat single-storey log cabin set within a small lodge complex amongst 50 acres of parkland near Saltburn in North Yorkshire.

With far-reaching views across the surrounding grounds and woodland, this pet-friendly abode is suited to small families, friends and guests attending celebrations at nearby Rushpool Hall, boasting an open-plan design, private gated patio and access to both coast and countryside.

Step inside to find a bright open-plan living space where tiled flooring defines the kitchen area and wooden flooring extends through to the sitting area.

After your journey, unpack your bags and make the most of the thoughtful welcome touches waiting for you before settling into holiday mode.

Heat up the hob and prepare a hearty breakfast before pulling up a stool at the breakfast bar to plan the day ahead, then return after a day of exploring to tuck into an evening meal together.

As the evening unfolds, switch on the TV and gather in the sitting area, sharing stories from the day's adventures before retiring for the night.

When sleep calls, choose from two double bedrooms, served by a contemporary wet room where you can freshen up before setting out each morning.

Throw open the door and step onto the private gated patio, a lovely place to enjoy a morning coffee while listening to birdsong and watching for resident peacocks roaming the grounds.

Beyond your doorstep, acres of parkland and ancient woodland invite leisurely strolls with your four-legged companion, where winding paths weave beneath the trees and a variety of wildlife can often be spotted along the way.

We had a truly wonderful stay in the lodge.

The setting was absolutely idyllic so peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful surroundings that made it feel like a real escape. One of the highlights was seeing the peacocks wandering around the grounds, which added such charm and character to the stay. The lodge itself was lovely, comfortable, and well-kept, making it the perfect place to unwind. We left feeling happy with our holiday, and we would definitely recommend it to others looking for a tranquil break. The welcome basket was a nice find on arriving as well.

The location is exceptionally, so quiet with fabulous access to the river and woods.

The lodge is well presented. However this is only a good location if you are happy to have inconsistent and unreliable basic WiFi connectivity. We had multiple occasions when the WiFi would simply drop-out, and the owners/operators wouldn't acknowledge this issue. The manager's response was not helpful and they blamed us for using too much data. We would still consider returning to the location, but would be more prepared for not having basic WiFi.
