The perfect getaway idealy suited for days out or exploring .

The lodge was exceptionally clean very peaceful and nothing was to much trouble. I will definitely be back

We arrived at the property and it was exactly as described.

Set in a beautiful location and it was prepared for our stay. Stella text me with details ahead of our arrival and even had the hot tub lit so it was warm and ready for us to use straight away. Theres an information folder in the living area too with everything you need should you decide to venture out too. The property was clean and tidy, there was even prosecco and chocolates waiting for us when we get there. Its perfect for a little break away to switch off from reality and perfect to take a loved one for a romantic break too. We would highly recommend. Bret & Jo

Beautiful stay

Ideally placed for visiting places, very peaceful, lodge very comfortable would recommend to anyone, although we didn't see the owner i did recive messages which were very helpful and reassuring in case we needed anything so many thanks Stella, we had a fantastic week.

I had booked the rising sun for my parents as part of their wedding anniversary gift and I could not be more pleased with the level of customer service, attention to detail and hospitality.

I have booked a number of lodges before but this was by far the best experience my parents had and I will definitely be booking again. I highly recommend the rising sun and look forward to coming here myself!

The Rising Sun was the perfect holiday stay.

Beautiful cabin in peaceful surroundings. The owners have gone out of their way to ensure that their guests had everything they needed, including the goodies on arrival. The cabin was clean and comfortable and very welcoming after a day walking and sightseeing. Didn't use the hot tub so cannot comment. Could not find any negatives with this property and will definitely stay there again.

A lovely stay at Rising Sun.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was ready for us on our first night and after a short message to the owners they got it ready for the second night too. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing and would definitely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation!

A rare find - no dogs/pets, no smoking - spotless throughout. Peace and quiet, just what we wanted! Lots of nature outside your windows, birdsong, rabbits, grouse etc - amazing scenery. The owners are brilliant, attentive and helpful... We were genuinely sad to leave, and we're already planning our next visit! Please don't change anything, it's perfect... :-)

We loved our stay here!

Place was spotlessly clean. Kitchen was well kitted out with everything needed. Lovely touches like salt/pepper/tea/coffee/toilet roll/body wash etc already stocked and the welcome hamper which included milk and a bottle of Prosecco was very thoughtful. Walks from the doorstep and too many to choose from only a short drive away so the location was fantastic and amazing to come back to the hot tub after a long day of walking. Owners are very attentive and communication was brilliant to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Things to note: no dishwasher and hot tub is exactly that, not a jacuzzi, so no jets/bubbles. Didn’t affect anything for us we loved it but some may want to be aware of that. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Me and my partner had an amazing stay at this cabin!

The location was peaceful, surrounded by nature, we even spotted the barn owl with a mouse in hand for tea

Our hosts were fabulous, the cottage perfect - gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and the hot tub was amazing

Stella was amazing and left a happy birthday balloon and bottle of prosecco too ❤️ a very memorable stay for my 40th and we will never forget it!!! It was made very special for us and we were treated like royalty ♥️ the best log cabin experience with hot tub! Truly an unforgettable stay. We didn't want to leave

Had a fantastic stay at the Rising Sun!

Everything was to a high standard, clean and tidy. Warm when we arrived and hot tub was clean and ready to go. The host kept in touch with us throughout our stay, even topped up the logs when we needed and had the tub warm for when we returned from been out for the day. Location is spot on! Lots of lovely places to visit nearby and shops around the corner. Site was maintained to a high standard, easy to get to and very clear instructions on how to get there Couldn't have been more perfect! Will definitely book again!

Brilliant 5 day stay.

Spotlessly clean, great location, great facilities, awesome wood fired hot tub and Stella couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.

Host extremely attentive and attention to detail into he property was 5*. Hot tub ready for arrival and excellent recommendation within the local area. Definitely would recommend to friends and family, hoping to return in the near future :)

Amazing 0 complaints, went during the storm and it was perfectly quiet and warm.

Very helpful owners letting us know when other people would be in the second cabin, helped with the WiFi, and left a great selection of little freebies.

A perfect base for a break in the North York Moors: Rising Sun has everything you need for a full week.

It has such a lovely modern, airy feel to it and was very clean. The little touches left by Stella were very thoughtful and appreciated!

Absolutely stunning place,brand new immaculate inside and out.

very helpful owner not that we met but received text message with details before arrival, a message to check we're were happy and a message with some to dos in the area. We travelled to dalby forest for a walk about 40 min away ,stunning,we went to Malton little nearby town full of little shops and one day travelled to whitby Bay again about 40min then relaxed in in hot tub with bottle of wine,perfect! We're going to return ASAP.

Had a lovely last minute break.

The hosts are excellent and will do anything to help you have a great stay. We'll equipped for two. We stayed on the hottest week of the year & the owner provided a fan without being asked. The hot tub is brilliant once the weather had cooled down. One slight negative is the bed felt a little small. A king size would make it perfect. (Just our preference). Lots of lovely villages to explore around the area. Great walking area.

The cabin was very clean, well equipped and stylish. We loved the hot tub and the rural views.

Booked very last minute but if I’d of known about the place sooner would’ve booked ages ago!

Highly recommend for any couples wanting a get away! We are very picky when choosing places but rising sun was everything we wanted. Every little detail is spot on and perfect size place to stay. Very out of the way if you want somewhere to relax and chill out. the hot tub is a great size and the fire inside is an added bonus on a night! The bed is very comfy and the area around is silent on a night so get a great sleep. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in the area or just for anyone who needs a get away! Will 100% return!
