Whispering Willows

A very enjoyable and pleasant stay at the whispering willows, perfect location and very accommodating to us and our two pets .

.this was our second time staying in this caravan and would definitely recommend to friends and family

I would highly recommend whispering willows phil and sam cannot do enough for you on entry the welcome pack was greatly appreciated The ducks kept my mother in law occupied for hours I have already booked again

Really enjoyed our stay at whispering willows with our dog , lodge was lovely, bed really comfy and we had pretty much everything we needed, all furniture in good clean condition , outside area a massive bonus, we go to Cayton bay several times a year and will definitely book this lodge again later in the year .

Had a lovely stay 2 weeks from the 22nd may.

Booked 29th through Sykes and week before through co owner Samantha. As difficult to get through to Sykes admin. Beautifull lodge. Very well equipped and clean. Perfectly positioned both on site with all the amenities to hand, and geographically in relation to to Scarborough. Dogs loved the freedom to roam outside on the veranda and safely contained to the lodge. Look forward to re booking next year Thankyou

I had recently lost my dad , so was looking forward to having a few days away.

We had booked into whispering willows . We arrived and was horrified to see a building site directly in front of our caravan , with machinery buzzing around and workmen standing around .we had not been informed by the owners as we wouldn't have booked that particular static van . The workmen arrived on site by 7.45 am and didn't leave until 4pm - 5pm. As the building site was directly infront of the double opening doors , it was impossible to sit on the decking and enjoy the little sun we had. There was no extra blankets at night . You were asked to strip the bedding before you left , wish I hadn't as the mattress protector and pillows were soiled ....yuk

We arrived for the Christmas week and was extremely disappointed as we were on a building site.

There was a digger right outside the caravan and metal fencing and machinery not a pretty site. The caravan was very clean and nicely decorated for Xmas. Was warm in the living area but cold in the bedrooms as the thermostat was in the living area. Was grateful the building site had shut down for Xmas so no noise but surely they could have done the work when the holiday site shuts down. They are just squeezing more caravans on so hardly any space between them

We would definitely book whispering willows again lovely lodge nice & quiet plenty of room, in a lovely place on the site we watched all the wild life from the patio , very well equipped

Overall quite satisfied with the accommodation.

However, a few items need addressing as they let the property down. Bedroom pillows all very flat and in need of replacing; some pillow savers stained; duvets in twin bedroom very poor quality. Only one wine glass in property. Cooking utensils, some of them were dirty as was the cutlery. Lack of side tables on which to place glasses, cups whilst on sofas. Overall a nice stay but would benefit from some attention to detail.

Holiday lodge very good .

In a quiet area with good on site facilities. Will look forward to a return visit.

Lodge in nice sunny spot.

We took our DVDs to watch but they was not a DVD player. The TV kept going very dark and we could only watch channels 1.2.3.4.and 5 as we could not watch any Free view they kept freezing up. Could not find a decent frying pan to make omelettes in. The one that was there was far too big and had a loose handle and needed a good clean. Stains on the carpets it needs lino down. The door into the lodge kept slamming shut an accident waiting to happen the door latch kept coming away had to secure it by putting the garden table behind it. Would not stay in this lodge again and we would not recommend it to anyone did not enjoy this holiday at all. No smoking on the decking allowed if found doing so it was instant dismissal if you smoke you have to go out side and smoke on the grass verge.

Lovely property and everything you could need however a personal experience was the property hadn’t been cleaned on arrival from previous occupants however this was quickly rectified by housekeeping and couldn’t fault them but was disappointing on arrival was travelling with my mum who is 87 and was a respite break for her and father was in care also disappointing was the WiFi connection and needed this to stay in touch with care home.

But overall. A great location and close to all amenities and beaches .

Lodge situated in a lovely quiet area of park overlooking fields -- lots of rabbits and ducks that the kids loved seeing.

Had to vacuum on arrival as dog hairs everywhere on mat and carpet . Also found packet of tabaco poking out from under sofa

Whispering willows is a beautiful lodge very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need, the kitchen equipment was second to none and the beds are so comfy the lodge is very clean, we were blessed with lovely weather so we had an amazing holiday

Lovely break set in a peaceful part of the park.

The lodge was comfortable and very clean I could actually live in one of those as it was spacious for the 3 of us and dogs. Highly recommend. Lots of lovely walks 10 minutes to the beach. Was very relaxing.

Accuracy of listing was nothing bad but Sykes did not say it had a washer.

So bonus for the dogs towels. Love the wrap round balcony outside, dogs could just be let out to walk around no risk of escaping. In a beautiful part of the park.

Whispering willows is a really nice ‘home from home’ in a great quiet location with a pond nearby and lots of wildlife.

Really spacious comfortable and spotless. Great service and communication from Sykes and the owners. As it is near Xmas we had the bonus of beautiful decorations which delighted my granddaughter and us all. Highly recommend. We will be back (if it’s not booked up for the year. )

Fabulous lodge.

Very spacious and comfortable. We felt the position of the lodge on the new Willows development was one of the best on the site. Lots of wildlife and so quiet and quite private. We travelled from Somerset and was well worth the trip. Had to message owner with a query and he got straight back to me - Thankyou Paul. Great base for discovering North Yorkshire. We had a fabulous week.

Beautiful and well maintained property, more or less everything you could need( maybe a couple of pyrex dishes to use in microwave) for those of us who like to eat in .

The main bedroom with it's walk in wardrobe and en suite bathroom was very luxurious. But the main thing which made our holiday was the location, possibly the best location on this site. Large sliding doors onto a good sized patio area with a glass frontage which gave unrestricted views of the wetland area and wildlife (ducks, rabbits and birds). Lovely and peaceful for older visitors like us but also a safe secluded area for children. Altogether a good holiday.

Very comfy and homely.

Very impressed with the quality of this lodge, a lovely layout with a nice size master bedroom, dressing room and full bath on suite, but also good size 2nd room and a really nice kitchen/ lounge area.

Great decking area, sun terrace. Quality lodge fittings, gives luxury but with that nice warm “caravan” holiday feel. In the nicest part of the holiday park, and on a great plot. Could not have been happier with this lodge and I am very fussy! Cayton bay is a very family focused park with lots of kids and kid areas / activities but we went as two adult couples and enjoyed the bar/ restaurant area, nothing fancy but felt clean and welcoming, also a lovely covered dog friendly area. The park is in a great position, pretty much equal distance between Scarborough and Filey, there is a really nice walk, 6 miles or so along the coast path into each resort. Absolutely 5 star accommodation/ area and we hope to be back soon

Comfortable well equipped luxury holiday home with arguably the best pitch/position on the whole of Cayton Bay Park.

What’s not to like. Had a great time walking the coastal path to Scarborough and Filey and also took in the delights of Flamborough, North Landing, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay plus the seagull infested Bridlington. Used the one day of torrential rain to rest up in the cosy lodge, Marvellous.
