What guests are saying
The Lodge was very spacious, but it needed a lot of TLC, Wasn't very clean and could do with more equipment in the kitchen.
Badgers Retreat site was lovely very quiet and relaxing the only downside was the lodges were a bit too close together.
Having stayed in this lodge in February when everything was fine we booked for August with another family member.
On arrival as we stepped into the lodge there was a bad smell of burning cheese which we found to be the main oven which hadn’t actually been cleaned. We also found the microwave was dirty and the oven trays etc were greasy. Believe it or not despite that we still had a good holiday as we ate out quite a bit and this park is one of the nicest we’ve stayed at. Hidden Gem just needs a little TLC and it will be back to the way it was in February. I won’t let it stop me from booking again. Badger’s Retreat is a beautiful quiet park with nice dog walks.
We stayed at Badgers Retreat for three nights.
The site was good - quiet and well set out. There was a wonderful dog walk too. The lodge we stayed in was excellent. It was spacious and had everything we could wish for. The beds were comfortable and the lounge was nice. We would highly recommend both this particular lodge and the site as a whole.
