The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals, whether it’s a quick breakfast or a leisurely dinner, with everything from an electric oven and ceramic hob to a microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.
A kettle and toaster stand ready for morning rituals, while the grill adds versatility to your cooking.
The dining area offers a place to gather and enjoy your creations, with views out to the water adding a gentle backdrop.
When it’s time to turn in, the king-size bedroom provides an en-suite with bath, shower over, basin, and WC, while the twin room offers an additional space for others.
A separate bathroom and an additional shower room ensure there’s plenty of space for everyone to freshen up, with a hairdryer included for added convenience.

Made welcome from the start, the lodge was in a wonderful location, and all the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The Watermill restaurant was amazing, and the only criticism I have is that all the fishing lakes were unavailable due to matches taking place
Birch wood lodge was an ideal holiday home for a family of 4.
Very clean on arrival. Very comfortable beds. We had one small problem with the down stairs shower which was unusable on arrival as it leaked ++++, onsite staff were informed and they immediately did a temporary fix for our holiday. Ideally the shower will need a new door, onsite staff were going to inform the owners. The hot tub was very clean and checked on a daily basis. We did find the hot tub very noisy at night as it vibrated on the surrounding wooden floor. We had to switch it off every night. The site itself is very clean, helpful staff, beautiful settings. Would recommend this site for a family holiday.
Unfortunately we do have a few complaints, although weve enjoyed our week and made mist of it, for the price we paid we feel there was alot lacking, in previous breakaways its been all included.
As follows are our disappointments.. No soap or washing up liquid 2 toilet rolls for a week Door was terrible very warped staff spreyed wd40 No cushions on outside furniture No cutterley drainer Money paid no welcome pack Not enough towels and disappointed had to pay extra The lodge is in a lovely setting but unfortunately didnt have the added touch which let it down, very basic for the price paid.
