The property

Cedar Spa (Pet) is a peaceful, pet-friendly lodge nestled in the countryside on Woodland Lakes Holiday Park near Thirsk, Yorkshire.

Surrounded by greenery and with on-site parking and EV charging, it offers a practical base for those arriving by car and seeking a quiet spot to unwind.

Step inside this single-storey retreat and you’ll find two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite.

One includes a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, while the other also provides a hairdryer for added convenience.

The layout is simple and easy to navigate, with everything arranged to support a relaxed pace.

The heart of the lodge is the open-plan living area, where natural textures and soft lighting create a grounded feel.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, ideal for preparing meals to share at the dining table.

In the lounge, a TV with USB connections entertains, while the electric fire adds a gentle glow on cooler evenings.

Outside, the enclosed decking provides a private space to pause and take in the surroundings.

THIRSK

Northallerton 8.6 miles; North York Moors National Park 5 miles; York 23.7 miles.

With the gateway to the North York Moors National Park to the east and Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west, the bustling town of Thirsk boasts a quaint market place, splendid Georgian buildings, and a Norman church. Here there are a selection of excellent pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre, as well as independent stores to be browsed at your leisure. Visit the World of James Herriott Museum, dedicated to the life and works of the town’s own famous vet and author or explore the surrounding rolling countryside and Hambleton Hills, offering excellent walking and cycling opportunities. The town is home to the Yorkshire Vet, All Creatures Great and Small, and Thirsk Races, and there are an abundance of local walks throughout the local area, including those at Osmotherly, the Cleveland Way, and Sutton Bank. Cycling within this location is catered for with mountain biking trails and road cycling trails at Sutton Bank's Cycling Centre, Dalby Forest, and Tour de France routes, and there are further walks and cycling routes along the picturesque coast of North Yorkshire, as well as delightful locations including Whitby, Robin Hood Bay, and Staithes.
