Two spacious bedrooms provide flexibility, one with a king-size bed, a 4K Smart TV, and an en-suite featuring a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, and a washer/dryer tucked away for added convenience.

The second bedroom also offers a king-size bed that can be converted into twins on request, along with its own Smart TV and en-suite shower room.

The heart of the lodge is the sitting room, where soft textures and natural light create a relaxed flow.

KINGS CLIFFE

Stamford 6 miles; Corby 9 miles; Peterborough 12 miles

Kings Cliffe stands on the edge of the Rockingham Forest and is predominantly built of Lincolnshire Limestone similar to that found in the Cotswolds. There are good local amenities including a small supermarket, greengrocers, bakery, Post Office, art gallery and pub. The village is situated in tranquil countryside and offers easy access to individually mapped footpaths and bridleways perfect for rambling and cycling. Nearby Rutland Water offers a variety of water based activities including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing as well as being well placed for cycling, walking and bird watching. Famous people to have lived in the village include William Law (1686-1761), a prominent theologian and author, and Miles Joseph Berkeley (1803-1889) who studied the many species of fungi to be found in the vicinity of Kings Cliffe and is regarded as the founder of Plant Pathology.
Glenn Miller gave his last concert in a hangar at Kings Cliffe airfield in October 1944 before being lost on a fatal flight to Paris. A memorial marks the spot of the concert, and is near to a public footpath. The historic market towns of Stamford, Oundle, Oakham and Uppingham are within easy reach with the stately home of Burghley House, Barnsdale Country Gardens, Kirby Hall and Rockingham Castle among other attractions. Nearby Peterborough has a cathedral, which is considered by many to be one of the finest Norman buildings surviving in Europe today.
