On arrival, you park in your dedicated space and follow a gentle gravel path towards the pod’s wooden curved exterior, where a small bench with a coat hook provides a moment to pause and breathe in the fresh Highland air before stepping inside.

As one of two pods on a purpose built site designed to blend naturally into its surroundings, it opens into a warm, welcoming studio where the dining table for two invites slow mealtimes and the bed features handy overhead storage to keep belongings neatly stowed away.

The kitchen area includes a wooden worktop crafted from timber taken from the grounds and carefully treated, adding a natural touch as you prepare simple meals, while the shower room stands out with patterned tiles that bring added charm after days exploring the outdoors.

Outside, a covered deck encourages you to linger as the woodland shifts gently beyond, opening into strimmed areas of meadow where wild orchids appear in spring, butterflies develop in the grasses and roe deer, pine martens, foxes, rabbits and badgers often pass through.

Caledonian pine trees rise throughout the woodland, which guests are welcome to wander at their leisure.

A short walk reveals an octagonal roofed structure with open sides where the warmth of a barbecue blends with woodland scents, offering a shared space to cook, store ingredients in the nearby fridge and enjoy the sounds of the trees as smoke drifts into the open air.
