Absolutely amazing , the location is perfect, the views are beautiful, the lodge is spot on and the hosts friendly, welcoming and helpful.

!! Only slight problems were the sink plug in the en suite didn't hold water in the sink and the reception on TV when windy and raining was intermittent,think tree branches interfered.....other than that it was lovely and would go back again anytime

Not much I can see really very comfortable fantastic views the owners were on hand if needed I'm 65 and slept in one of the single beds and I had a really good night sleep every night for the whole week I was a bit apprehensive but there was no need to be.

Lots of bird song and animal noise as there is a farm next door it's like getting back to nature in the night it's very quiet and dark and right next to you you have highland cows and sheep and you also get visits from timber the cat. Plenty of places to visit in the area had a really good day on the isle of mull. Would recommend this holiday 4 oaks chalet. Will definitely think of returning sometime in the future.

If you want peace and quiet then this is the place to go!

Completely at one with nature - brilliant for children who want to go rock pooling or heron watching. The accommodation is clean and very comfortable. With sheep cows calves and a gorgeous cat comes visiting. Well worth the trip and we were very lucky - we had sun shine!

The positives.

It was a nice touch with eggs, flowers and milk on arrival. Clean towels and bedding. Comfy living room and bed, and a good supply of tea, coffee, and sugar and cleaning materials. The location is great for scenery and there is loads to do round about once you drive the six miles to the main road which leads to Fort William to the right. We rated the stay as a 5 star, as we had an amazing weeks holiday, this was nothing to do with the chalet. Negatives Don't be fooled by the photographs, these must have been taken when the property was new. The property is very tired and in desperate need of updating and maintenance. The accuracy of the listing is false, as there was no working freezer, which to be fair we were contacted about the week before. I do feel however, this has not been working for some time, and has not just broken, as the door on the freezer didn't shut either. The coffee machine listed is an old Tassimo in a cupboard, we did not use this, as it looked as though it had been there for years. The toilet seat in the main bathroom is hanging off and hits you in the back when you sit on it. As this was the case we used the toilet in the en-suite whilst we were there. The shower in the main bathroom does not fasten to the wall, so this could not be used as a shower, other than hand held. The bath panel is also not well fitted and there is a crack in the bath. The shower in the en-suite, kept altering in temperature when being used, although no other taps etc, were being used. The cooker hood was really greasy and makes an horrendous noise and the boiler also makes some odd noises, maybe this needs a service? There is no carbon monoxide monitor in place. There was no fuel for the fire, (as advertised). Nothing has PAT stickers on, so does not give faith to the fact that any of the electrical equipment has had the necessary safety checks completed. The wall lamp in the bedroom when switching this on fell off the wall and my husband had to fasten this back on before it could be used. I could go on, as there were more issues, however, overall the place does need a deep clean and some major maintenance, which we are lead to believe is planned. It was not worth what we paid for it and we had booked this very well in advance for our 35th wedding anniversary, expecting this to be more like the photos we had seen. We did have a lovely weeks holiday and enjoyed all Fort William and the surrounding areas had to offer, not letting the accommodation spoil our stay.

Lovely holiday, great location, very peaceful.

Plenty of places to visit, loch Ness cruise from Fort Augustus was brilliant. Ben Nevis Inn was good for food.

Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable.

The views were stunning and an ideal base for visiting the surrounding areas. Very happy with our choice and would return.

Lovely, remote setting, great communication and assistance from the owners.

Felt like the place needed a bit of TLC, no single major thing, just lots of little things. A bit of mould in the en suite bathroom ceiling, very blunt knives in the kitchen that could be dangerous, decking looked like it needed a sweep and a coat of paint, instructions for the heating and tv could have been clearer, a few fixtures and fittings chipped, sweet wrapper under the bed from previous residents. Would absolutely recommend it and would go again but not perfect!

Furnished to a very high standard but most of all spotlessly clean. Great location, quiet, secluded, pitch black at night. Would definitely recommend this place. 60 second walk to the loch. 20 min drive to Fort William.

This holiday lodge is located in a beautiful spot with stunning views of the mountains and loch.

The lodge is well-equipped and comfortable, and the owners are friendly and helpful. However, there is a construction site next door at the moment, which can be very noisy during the day. This may be a nuisance for some guests, but others may not mind it as much., Normally, this would be a great place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation with stunning views. Here are some pros and cons of the lodge: Pros: Stunning views of the mountains and loch. Well-equipped and comfortable lodge Cons: Construction site next door can be noisy during the day and may be a nuisance for some guests, but others may not mind it as much.We were unlucky to be there whilst the excavations were being carried out. Shame we were not informed beforehand.

Beautiful log cabin in spectacular location.

Everything's provided, like home from home. Sit on the patio & watch the stunning sun set. Nice welcome pack that includes lovely fresh eggs from the hens wandering round. Would love to return sometime in the future.

Absolutely outstanding, we've stayed hundreds of places, but this is really up there with the most beautiful locations, the chalet is beautiful, clean, excellently decorated with all mod cons, comfortable, warm but that view is to die for, we will be back and can't recommend this enough

The chalet was fab, very comfortable and good facilities. I would only suggest a couple of improvements that felt like a bit of a hazard with a toddler I.e. fix the fencing round the decking area as felt like it might fall off, and on all the venetian blinds add the child safety part so the cords aren't hanging down (some have this already bit not all).

Beautiful and scenic. Lots to do and it is a nice quiet location. The chalet is fantastically laid out and has all you need to stay comfortable. We definitely would return!!

Absolutely great place overlooking the loch and mountains. Me and my family had to drag ourselves out on the last day loved the place so much. Will be definitely visiting again. BTW, thanks so much Ross for the fresh eggs :)

A lovely comfortable chalet in a great location.

This chalet is the only one so not part of a large managed site which means it is nice and quiet. All that can be heard are the sound of sheep in the next field. It is situated about 15 miles from Fort William so not too far to get shopping etc… would highly recommend this chalet for anyone wanting to stay slightly off the beaten track. We will definitely be staying here again.

Very comfortable and well kept chalet a real home from home with all the facilities that you require and some thoughtful extras, fresh milk, eggs, flowers and biscuits. View of the loch is stunning and the adjacent farm a delight to watch the young calf chasing the geese. Owner nearby if needed but provides plenty of privacy. Lovely relaxing holiday to recharge the batteries

A great, comfortable and clean chalet, very homely and with everything you need.

Some nice touches from the owners too...fresh flowers and some fresh eggs, which were amazing. The location is very peaceful, with a lovely outlook towards the loch and the mountains. It is also a good base for exploring the area. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely return.

The chalet was a lovely place to stay in general.

However, it required some work i.e extractor fan and outside light not working. Fridge door did not shut properly, entrance floor very wobbly i.e potentially damaged and wet underneath. Chalet could have been cleaned to a higher standard with a bit of dust and hairs in the bathroom. Some windows did not shut especially in the front room and could seriously do with a TV in each room. Location was not easy to find but local people provided directions. Owner was very nice and helpful and did not interfere with our stay. Animals in neighbouring field provided evening entertainment for the whole family!

We had an amazing week of perfect sunshine. Beautiful views from the deck over the loch. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with a well-equipped kitchen. We really appreciated the eggs from the local friendly chicken!

We had difficulty finding the cottage, the postcodes in Scotland cover a wide range of land.

We tried to use the what3words address given but this was incorrect, it is approximately a mile further down the road. We did get some help from a lovely couple who did direct us to the right house.

Fantastic location if you want peace and quiet.

Gorgeous views over Loch Eil. Good location as base for lots of sightseeing, but bit remote ID you need supplies urgently. Would definitely recommend getting groceries on way to chalet. Owner lovely and didn't interfere with our stay, but greeted us on arrival and sought our opinion on chalet before we left.

Brilliant!

A lovely, comfortable, clean and cosy chalet, with SPECTACULAR views. To wake up, open the curtains and see the loch and the mountains in all their glory was like a picture postcard that changed every day. The sheepdogs in the neighbouring field entertained us daily with the sheep and the owners chickens came to visit day and night. Their eggs were also delicious. Nevis was climbed, lochs were cruised, wine and whisky were drunk on the deck and all in all a wonderful holiday. As for the weather!? First time I’ve been able to say we had no rain at all!, just beautiful sun. ☀️ Ross the owner was very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Highly recommended!

It was a great location to explore the Highlands . The area is very peaceful and a great place to relax . The host was very helpful and welcoming . The Chalet was very clean and had everything we needed Would definitely recommend

Lovely chalet but starting to wear out in places so some TLC needed.

The only drawback for us is the lack of WiFi. There was a working wood yard next door which we weren't expecting but this wasn't a major problem.

The chalet was well positioned just as we like it we live in a rural area so it suited us.

The chalet was big and clean with all the facilities of home the view was perfect the loch being just 2 minutes away it had a veranda to relax on a great base to sight see from.

Holiday was fantastic.

Accommodation was lovely the view was stunning. I normally have trouble sleeping in different beds but this was comfortable even for my 6ft husband, the single beds are on the small size not quite big enough for adults but they did sleep ok in them. Can't fault accommodation for cleanliness. Our only tiny thing wrong was there is not enough seating in the lounge only a 2 seater sofa and 1 chair not ideal for 4 adults, we did bring a garden chair in with cushions on it was ok. But nothing to spoil our holiday. Great location as well. Would definitely recommend and will try to get back again in the future.

A lovely lodge in a beautiful and quiet location.

The lodge had a cosy feel to it and was very spacious. We would love to return and explore more of the area.

We had an excellent 6 days, sadly we had to leave early because my wife was taken ill, i would recommend this chalet it was clean comfortable and warm and in an excellent position.

We were disappointed because we expected a chalet what we've actually got was a static caravan but all the facilities were very good but very disappointed none the less unfortunately we had to leave early because of illness .

A lovely, comfortable chalet, in a beautiful, peaceful, restful location.

Ideal for just getting away from it all, and the fact there is no mobile signal or wifi facilities, simply made it even more peaceful !! Just what we needed :-)

A lovely place just the windows are hard to open and close because the is screws in the catch and it hits them and handle for the windows feel like there going to fall off and the front door is open a bit at top dose now shut and seal right

The holiday cottage was really nice and clean the veiws were stunning and is in a really quite peaceful area just as we like it will certainly return.
