Treetops

Treetops was an amazing place to stay - clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Loved watching the Red Squirrels and numerous birds - even had a visit from a Woodpecker but sadly didn’t get a photo! The Hot Tub was an added bonus although due to health issues didn’t get to relax in it although the others did and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The lodge was fantastic and just the break we wanted and needed.

The decking at the back was fantastic for watching the wildlife; red squirrels and a huge variety of birds, as well as the lovely spacious hot tub. Inside the lodge was equally relaxing, with loads of space for everyone to be comfortable. We'd love to come back again in the future!!

Being able to feed Red Squirrels off the balcony made our holiday extra special. Would definitely recommend this lodge.

Overall the interior of the lodge is clean, well equipped and comfortably furnished.

The quality of bedding & towels is good and the supply of dvd's, toys, games & books is a nice touch. There was a good supply of hot water however the cold tap in the kitchen runs warm initially. We assume the hot & cold pipes are too close together? We found the heated airer had a broken catch so it would not stand properly making it rather dangerous if there are children or dogs in the property. The only reason we have not given Treetops a 5* review is lack of attention of tidiness of the exterior. Understandably due to the many surrounding trees there will always be an element of leaf detritus. However the decking had not been swept for a long time with lots of leaf matter around the whole area. Dead leaves were in the hot tub scoops one of which is falling to pieces. There were bird droppings along the railings and on the outdoor furniture and the hot tub was splattered. The overall appearance of the exterior with cobwebs, debris etc let's down what the lodge offers internally. It would also be useful if there was a book with details of how the equipment worked. There were a number of instruction leaflets in a drawer but nothing relating to heating, the automatic rubbish bin, soap hand dispenser etc.

We enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing few days in Treetops.

It was very clean and some nice little touches such as Easter decorations and iphone charging ports. Thank you. Will be rebooking when time allows.

Absolutely great lodge with all amenities (and more).

Wildlife outside was excellent, hot tub amazing for star gazing and just a great place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

As you’ll see from the guest book we really enjoyed our stay.

All the additional touches were thoughtful and amazing. Beds were comfortable, and there was everything you could possibly need and more. A couple points, that we didn’t note, was the hot tub was not really clean and had far too much chlorine in it. The mat coming out needs replaced, it was green. The outdoor cushions were also covered in dog hair.

Couple of minor items - lack of hanging space for clothes - was a bit awkward for 5 adults and as we were attending a wedding and hanging space for suits/dresses was only really available in master bedroom.

Also there were no hand towels - but we had brought our own anyway.

A wonderful lodge in a great location lots of fantastic walks.

Everything has been thought of, every utensil you could possibly need is there. The fridge, freezer, washer and coffee machine are huge bonuses. The place was immaculate! The surrounding area is beautiful and it would be amazing to see the hall renovated ☺️

Was such a fab lodge everything you needed can not wait to go again

The property was perfect.

Sublime. Exceptional. Faultless. The scenery and location is second to none. Worthy of getting lost in the localities and then withdrawing to the lodge when ready. Would 100% recommend and will 110% be visiting again. Thank you.

. everything provided .. home from home .. loves feeding red squirrels and birds who visited every day .

The lodge was immaculately clean upon arrival, the bathroom looked better than a 5* hotel, a good sized hot tub at the rear to watch the red squirrels while having a glass of wine TV in all rooms --- Wine cooler which was greatly appreciated , -- coffee machine that was used daily that included a variety of coffee pods.

Would I use this lodge again, YES

Was fantastic accommodation. (Couldn't fault anything !!!) All good. If you get chance you should visit this place. (Nothing to do with host or accommodation but perhaps less emails and endless attempts to upsell from Sykes wouldn't go amiss !!!)
