Heatherwood (Pet) is a spacious, contemporary lodge tucked into the quiet countryside on Hexham Lodges Holiday Park near Slaley, Northumberland.

With parking just outside and a fully enclosed outdoor area, it’s a standalone escape designed for families or small groups travelling with up to two pets.

Step inside and the warmth of timber cladding meets a sleek interior.

The open-plan kitchen, anchored by a central island, is well-equipped for everyday cooking and weekend feasts alike – from the Quooker tap and Tassimo coffee machine to the oven, grill, and electric hob.

The dining table sits nearby, ready for shared meals and conversation, while the seating area invites you to settle in with a film or series on the Smart TV.

The lodge offers four bedrooms: two king-size rooms (one with its own Smart TV), and two twins.

Each is arranged with practicality in mind, and the four bathrooms, three en-suites, and separate shower room make it easy for everyone to get ready without delay.

Outside, the decked area is fully enclosed and set for alfresco evenings.

A hot tub bubbles beside a fire pit, with a pergola overhead and a barbecue close by, ideal for slow evenings as the light fades and the stars begin to show.

Beyond the lodge, nature trails wind through the landscape, and bike hire makes it easy to explore further afield.
