Brown Owl is a fantastic eco log cabin set just metres away from the private beach belonging to Heather Cottages at Budle Bay near Bamburgh. It is fitted out to a very high standard with all mod cons, and stands in its own garden with spectacular views of Lindisfarne and Budle Bay. The coastline here is extremely popular with walkers, birdwatchers, kite and wind surfers alike and you are well placed for visits to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick and Berwick.
ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (Ground) Ramp to front door. Living/kitchen room open plan with log burner, TV/DVD, hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, doors to decked area. Utility room with washer/dryer, fridge/freezer. Bedroom 1 with twin beds. Bedroom 2 with king size bed, en suite shower, WC and basin. Bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin.
OTHER FACILITIES Enclosed patio garden with decking and hot tub. Gas central heating. All power, fuel for stove, bed linen and towels included in rent. Private parking, charging strictly not allowed. 2 dogs allowed £30 each. Secure bicycle stalls. There are 7 properties at Heather Cottages (Sleeps 28 in total).
Beau Monde Leisure Spa Free one hour swim or gym passes up to the occupancy of the cottage. Beau Monde also has a beauty and hair salon all cottage guests receive 5% discount on hair and beauty treatments on production of their key fobs (excluding products). The location was perfect and the cottage was in great condition. The welcome pack was also really welcome, especially the items for the dogs. The only thing that we felt was missing was some kitchen basics (cooking oil, salt and pepper) and maybe some more bathroom products (shower gel, shampoo). Most similar properties we have stayed in before had these available, so we did not think to bring them. This is the only negative bit of feedback we had however, and would still rate our stay 10/10!

The pretty Northumberland village of Lucker lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the A1 and Bamburgh. The historic coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away with an array of excellent pubs, restaurants and gift shops. Lucker itself offers a good pub serving excellent food and a restaurant serving traditional french crépes and freshly cooked pizzas. Lucker is ideally placed for discovering the Cheviots, the stunning Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders.
Seahouses, roughly five miles away, is the harbour for boat trips to the Farne Islands. Several operators sail most days past grey seal colonies and the Longstone Lighthouse where puffins and thousands of other seabirds can be spotted. Alnwick, around half an hour south, is home to Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden, both popular tourist destinations that guests enjoy.
