What a fantastic property Aln lodge is.

You have all you need to have a lovely stay. The lodge was clean and smelt fresh. The bottle of wine was a lovely thought. Having a inclosed dog field was also a welcome bonus. We would have no difficulty recommending Aln lodge as you wouldn't be disappointed. Hope to return soon.

Aln was a lovely cabin .

Very well appointed and very clean .Lovely views and a beautiful setting .Was made easy to find with directions .The local village had good facilities a very short distance away .The owners were really helpful with our needs .We wish we could have spent more time there .

Lovely little cabin in beautiful farmland with excellent views.

The cabin was modern and well insulated I'm sure it would be cosy in the winter. The bedroom maybe a little tight but has a dressing table and 2 wardrobes. The bathroom is huge with a bath and walk in shower and the kitchen living room is spacious and has everything you need for a holiday. If you have a dog there is a huge fenced field for them to run in an excellent addition if they've been on the lead all day sightseeing. Lots to see in the area we hope to go back

easy access to all areas of Northumberland. Village had pubs with good food and a lovely cafe. Local shop had supplies we needed. Most enjoyable holiday

In my opinion this log cabin had the wow factor from the moment we opened the door.

Small but cosy and had everything anyone could ever need. Lovely views from the lodge and only a short distance from Rothberry and Craggside. I would also recommend the Village Inn for a superb meal. We spent 4 nights there, so peaceful as the 4 lodges are down a single track road so no noisy road traffic. It was just the break we needed. 2 of the lodges were larger than ours and had enclosed gardens just perfect for people holidaying with dogs.

3rd time to take a break at this location, wonderful lodge, fully equiped and VERY COMFARTABLE.

Quiet and rural but close enough to all your needs. The owners are very helpful and friendly . I would recommend taking a holiday here as Longframlington is central to all the interesting sites in Northumberland that you can visit.

The accommodation was exactly as advertised.

Clean comfortable and well equipped in every way. Plenty of wardrobe space in the bedroom and the kitchen had all the appliances we needed and lovely touches like sachets of tea and coffee. There was a tea towel, cleaning products and a dust pan and brush. Pub within a 15 min walk, very dog friendly and serves lovely food. The secure field for letting the dogs off lead was an absolute bonus. Ideal location for visiting nearby coastal towns. The owners were great at communicating with us prior to our stay regarding getting keys etc and we had absolutely no problems. Fabulous find we will definitely be returning.

Lovely lodge, perfect location for us to visit multiple places including Amble,Alnwick, Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle, Boulmer and Lindisfarne.

Lodge had everything you needed, has a very comfortable bed, a great shower, and so very quiet we had best nights sleep. There is a secure field for dogs, and only 5 mins from cafe,shop and pubs.

We had the most wonderful 5 days stay in Aln.

The cabin was in a beautiful setting and very well presented throughout everything you need and more. A wonderful surprise of a bottle of wine a beautiful gesture. The field for the dog was a bonus, to allow him to run and chase after his ball without fear of traffic was so appealing to us to chose this location. We wouldn’t hesitate to comeback to this well presented, warm ,dog friendly and convenient location for all that Northumberland has to offer. Can’t recommend this place enough, you wouldn’t be disappointed it’s exactly what you need to unwind, all the beaches are outstanding and this is what makes us come back every year, but will definitely book Aln again.

Cleanliness is downgraded because I always use the toaster as a measure, if it has been emptied of crumbs or not.

This one had not been emptied. Secondly the early evenings were spoilt due to someone in the farmhouse kicking a football and kicking it against the fence directly behind our cottage.

The property was spotless.

Lovely furnishings an the bed very comfortable. on arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine an tea an coffee. The property is part of a farm the grounds are kept to a very high standard. There's even an enclosed secure field to walk the dogs which for is was a very big plus. The walk from the property into the village is around a 25min stroll but that wasn't a problem. Can't fault this property at all. We will definitely return

Lovely location, very clean and comfortable accommodation.

We and our dog had a very pleasant week exploring Northumberland’s scenery and beaches.

We had a lovely ,peaceful week,lovely setting and ideal with the large field for our dog.

Just one thing to consider, the property would benefit from a couple of USB chargers. We found the alarm sensor very sensitive in the bedroom. When you moved around, a blue light comes on which is quite bright in the dark. All in all, a fabulous stay in a beautiful location. Secure dog field a huge plus. Excellent Wi-Fi. Lodge nice and warm, comfy bed. Extractor and oven lights not working. (Didn’t mention it as didn’t realise til the Saturday night but didn’t really matter. Just mentioning it in case owners not aware)

We had a lovely few days at Aln cottage.

The surroundings were perfect. Very peaceful and relaxing, good location for days out in the surrounding area. Facilities were great. Only issue was the quilt as it was so noisy, but a bit cold to remove it out of the quilt cover. Otherwise it was perfect. Thank you

It made a very enjoyable stay because the cottage was well equipped for self catering great for taking our dog situated in a great location for exploring Northumberland.

This is the 2 nd visit the lodge is very clean and warm and very well equipped .

Also the bathroom is fabulous having a desperate shower and bath.. Having the dog field is a bonus .

Superb accommodation, lovely aspect and very warm.

Some information about the induction cooker would have been helpful but I got there in the end! The directions maybe could mention the number of the road from which one turns right or left as we came via Rothbury and were initially a bit confused!

What a wonderful stay we had at your holiday lodge which had all the home comforts.

Usually there is something missing but not at yours. The big bonus for us was the area for the dogs which helped us have such a relaxing time. Hope to see you next year

This was the second time we have been to this property,lovely area and gorgeous surroundings.

The lodge is very comfortable and spotless.

Lovely, well maintained and equipt accommodation.

Layout was perfect. Really great to have a dishwasher and washing machine. Really peaceful location and a welcoming bottle of wine was much appreciated after a long journey. A real home from home for our Labrador who settled really well.

Very quiet and lovely and clean. The view was magnificent from the window . The big field we walked around every day was perfect for our two dogs very safe. I know we weren’t very far from other places to visit but we just needed a chill out area to pick us up . Would definitely be back . Thanks for the wine

Very good cabin situated in a nice quiet area, would recommend to anyone visiting Northumberland and we would certainly visit again if holidaying in the area.

Great stay, could smell the fresh bedding / towels when we walked in, dish washer tablets/washing machine pods/ everything to clean once cooked included which was nice, only downside was there was only 1 toilet roll.

Would stay again didn’t want to come home!

We feel more cutlery & crockery would be useful as current supply is a bit sparse for self catering & barely enough to warrant using the dishwasher!

Our second year at Holme farm and, just as nice as last year.

The lodge was as immaculate as it was last year and felt as if no one had been in it since we left in 2022 !! Owners Gavin and Sally are never "in your face" but, available if you need them. We always got a cheery wave if we saw them. The dog exercise field is huge and our elderly dogs loved it. If you're looking for a quiet restful holiday, this for you, with beautiful views from the veranda and a glass of wine courtesy of Gavin and Sally. Thanks for a great 10 days we can't wait to come back next year and continue discovering places to visit.

Absolutely spotless, it seemed as though we were the first to use it.

Very comfortable with every possible thing you would need. Also, a lovely quiet rural setting with far reaching uninterrupted country views. Excellent.

Excellent location clean tidy comfortable log cabin with very friendly owners plenty of places for dog walking, dog friendly pub only 1 mile up the road, overall a lovely little area with a very cosy, warm log cabin with lovely views over the hills.

Very relaxing in a very comfortable log cabin.

Only comment being the bed is too big for the room hence my bruised legs! Lovely view for the veranda.

Everything we needed for a relaxing break.

We had a lovely stay at Aln cabin.

It was good to have the grass area outside to toilet our dog first thing in the morning and at night. Managed one drink sitting in the bench outside as the weather was warm that late September evening. Yes the sofa was a little low but being of petite size did not really notice. The only things we could have done with inside were a few hooks on the bathroom door to hang a dressing gown, some sauce pan lids and a spare toilet roll. The owners lived onsite but kept away unless there was an issue. This we found rude. Other properties where the owner lives near they always said hello. The cabin is in a good location for exploring and there is lots to do with a dog. Longframlington has a lovely butchers and The Running Fox is idea for breakfast, if booked. Would certainly consider staying here again in the future.

Brilliant accommodation with everything we needed and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Lots of popular places close at hand + Alnwick gardens is amazing and very good for disabled even had my own map.

On arrival, we were very surprised at the quality of the property, it was amazing.

It looked as if it has just been completed.The bathroom was to die for as was the bedroom One small thing, get rid of the infamous sofa mentioned in other reviews ha,ha. For two people, the armchairs are fine. The scenery was beautiful and, the added bonus of a huge dog exercise field was the icing on the cake. We were sorry to leave to come home but, will be booking for 2023.

The mown path around the large adjacent field was ideal for walking the dog first thing in the morning and last thing at night. A great idea.

Light and airy accommodation.

Very clean. About a 15 minute walk to the pubs and a couple of shops. A good base for a walking holiday with decent access to the coast and the southern Cheviots. Good quality shopping in Alnwick about 25 minutes drive.

Beautiful setting, very quiet and comfortable, and also very well equipped.

The fact that we could control the heating was a great comfort.

We like the cottage and the lovely peaceful area it's in.

It's also near to local amenities. The downside is the very low sofa, although we were provided with chairs which were higher. We felt that there should be more cutlery, crockery & a few more basic kitchen equipment items (fish slice, bowls etc) which would make it less necesdary to use the dishwasher. This is our second visit to this property & would certainly return

We loved the open aspect to the front of the property, just beautiful!

The property was spacious and extremely clean and we had everything we needed. The hosts were discrete, which was nice, but we felt able to contact them easily if needed. The property is ideally located; we felt completely rural but within walking distance of the village of Longframlington. We would have liked a bigger settee (or two smaller ones).

Ideal place to stay if you have a dog because they provide you with a large field where you can let your dog run free. I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

We really liked the area.

The chalet has lovely countryside views and is ideally situated to local village amenities including 2 pubs. It's within easy reach of interesting places such as Alnwick & Banburgh. The only downside to the chalet was the sofa which is extremely low, but Sally & Gavin supplied us with a chair with a higher seat. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful & we'd certainly do a return visit

The facilities in the lodge kitchen and bathroom were excellent - in fact better than my own.

The farmers kept a low profile but were easily available to answer questions - just what I needed. The only item slightly below par was the sofa (too squashy ) I would heartily recommend this property

Sally & Gavin very helpful and they replaced a faulty microwave as soon as we mentioned it.

I was disappointed in the quality of the furnishings, for example the sofa was very low and needed updating - to mask this a 'throw' was put over it.

Also there were minimal pots/pans, even though this may only be a one bed appartment, if you provide cooking facilities, there needs to be more of these. Also, there were no instructions on how to use the various appliances. It would have been useful to have more details on local attractions like other properties we have stayed in. The quality of the towels was poor. We did not have a large bath/shower towel each and the 3 towels we had did not match and were obvioulsy 'well used'! There could have been clearer instructions on how to dispose of the rubbish, our neighbours during that week, also did not know where we were supposed to leave the rubbish bags.

The quality of the accommodation was excellent and set in a peaceful location.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Aln, the cottage itself was lovely and had everything we needed.

The bed was just a little on the small side for us but otherwise everything was perfect!

This wonderfully remote cabin is perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful and restful break whilst at the same time being only a short drive from so much.

Cabins are exceptional, clean, spacey and comfortable. Carefully positioned so as not to be overlooked and perfect for views of the open countryside. We took our dogs and found a new beach everyday then in the evening made the most of the large fields directly in front of the cabins and the empty country lanes. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable stay, beautiful farm and village in a great central location for exploring Alnwick, Bamburgh and Kielder.

Bathroom facilities were superb with hot water with high pressure. WiFi was excellent. The sheep in the surrounding field and the open view straight out of the front door onto fields provided a very peaceful setting.

We had a really lovely stay, the wooden chalet is immaculate, everything we needed in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen/living area.

Well lit inside and good lighting to the front and dide of thr chalet. In a wonderful location, very peaceful, lovely surroundings. In walking distance of a local shop and The Village Inn which serves lovely food and is very welcoming. We will definately return.

Excellent Lodge, well-equipped and a really great place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there - we were so pleased as we had to book late in the season but could not have worked out better. Perfect location too. Quiet, beautiful surroundings with great food and hospitality in the village.

Fabulous location in beautiful countryside.

Very central to explore other areas. Rothbury and Alnwick very near. Lodge was perfect, exactly as stated. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The lovely bottle of complementary red wine on arrival was a thoughtful surprise. Lovely village within an 8min walk with great little shops, Greengrocers, butchers, newsagent and a lovely artisan bakery with the best cakes! Pet friendly pub which made us very welcome, food recommended. Overall, highly recommend and hope to return in the near future

This is a fantastic lodge.

Really clean, great location for sightseeing, friendly village and great for the dogs.

We did not meet with the owners at all.

Our previous experience at other lets is if the owners are on site we have always been greeted by them. I know we had full contact details if we needed to get in touch but we felt it was complacent. They did leave us a bottle of wine which was appreciated.

This is a gorgeous cabin, very clean with beautiful views.

It's so lovely sitting on the front porch while the dog(or children) play and frolick in the large open space and only a short walk to the pub and Northumberlands coast and walks make it an excellent base.

The cottage was better than expected and so peaceful.

The dogs had a huge field to run around with and we could get to places easily. I wished we'd booked the bigger cottage as they had an enclosed front garden and the door could be left open for dogs to go on and out. The cottage has a veranda which was South facing and a real sun trap if there had been a gate it would have been ideal to stop dogs a escaping. Will definitely go back. Thankyou
