Castle View Lodges consists of a charming and stylish selection of two lodges resting on the peaceful outskirts of Bamburgh.
Located in a former stone quarry, which is also a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (Brada Hill SSSI), this collection offers bright, contemporary interiors, open-plan living, and scenic views, making it a lovely base for families, couples, and groups of friends.
The surroundings enjoy rolling countryside, where you can explore the dramatic Bamburgh Castle, stroll along sandy beaches, or enjoy stargazing in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Outside these abodes is a decking area, where you can take a refreshing drink and simply enjoy the stunning rolling country views out towards the centre of Bamburgh and its historic castle.
Northumberland’s coastal landscape offers something for everyone, from couples and heritage enthusiasts to nature lovers and those seeking a dark skies experience. Treat your loved ones to a meal out at nearby eateries such as The Potted Lobster, offering fresh seafood and a relaxed coastal setting, or The Castle Inn for traditional pub fare with a modern twist in a cosy atmosphere. The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
