Absolutely gorgeous property in a beautiful, quiet location.

Close to the A1 making all the attractions of Northumberland easy to access. We all loved it.

0n arrival onto the decking we saw evidence of bird poo and dried leaves the decking area was in need of a good clean, there was evidence of an old bird best in the eaves.

The inside of the lodge was clean and nicely decorated but the kitchen was small. The fridge freezer door wouldnt lock so we ended up with partially frozen milk and cooked meats. If we turned the freezer down it dripped everywhere. There was not enough shelves either. The cooker had only 1 shelf so cooking multiple items was tricky and there was no grill pan for grilling items either. The shower cubicle was rather small so if you are a large man or women you would feel that you had no room to move. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and comfortable . The lodge itself was surrounded by trees and you could just see the lake through the trees to the right, just. It was nice to be visited by the swans and cygnets in the late afternoon. The site was ok as long as you didnt mind the noise from the A1. I dont think we will be going back.

Difficulty in using the key press had to ask neighbours for help.

Cabin lovely and roomy. No shelves in fridge ! Disappointed no dishwasher. Decking and outside wood could do with a clean. Tree could Do with lopping, otherwise mostly in shade. Lovely fluffy towels, such a peaceful location. Great relaxing few days.
