Description

Felton 2.9 miles.

Nestled in the serene Percy Woods Holiday Park in Swarland near Felton, Northumberland, is this charming, detached lodge of 4 The Oaks.

Accommodating a family of six, 4 The Oaks features ground-floor accommodation throughout, along with access to a wealth of on-site facilities.

Upon arrival, pull up into one of the two off-road spaces, before taking in your tranquil environment.

Make your way up the steps to find a timber-clad, open-plan living space featuring all you need to unwind, as well as appliances fit for a self-catering stay.

Grab a seat on one of the plush seating options in front of the Smart TV and enjoy your favourite movie together or your favourite series on Netflix; switch on the electric fire to add to the warm ambiance.

When you're ready to prepare a mouthwatering meal, make your way over to the kitchen, where wooden cabinetry features a great range of appliances, including a large fridge/freezer.

These meals can be enjoyed at the dining table or out on your private decking; wherever you choose to eat and enjoy your complimentary bottle of fizz along and make a toast to this charming getaway!

When sleep calls, move through the property to find three inviting bedrooms, two of which are twins that share access to a well-appointed bathroom, and the other comprising a king-size with ample storage and an en-suite shower room.

Take a leisurely stroll through the tranquil grounds of Percy Wood Golf & Country Park to get a better sense of your surroundings; let the kids make the most of the adventure playground, go wildlife-watching in the woodland, or try your hand at putting at the on-site golf course!

Take a break from cooking by stopping at Nelson’s at the Park for a great home-cooked dinner served with a well-deserved pint or travel a little further afield to Felton to find more of your amenities resting in one location, such as The Northumberland Arms pub, where you can enjoy a hearty meal and a convenience store, where you can pick up self-catering essentials.

Northumberland Country Zoo is close by, with a variety of creatures eager to meet you.

Nearby, discover the stunning terrain of Northumberland National Park, which is home to the longest section of Hadrian's Wall and offers a variety of walking, biking, and hiking trails across sandstone hills, beautiful moorland, and enchanting forests.

For a fun day on the coast, be sure to venture to Amble, where the fascinating puffin cruises, an idyllic marina and sandy beaches can be found.

Be sure venture to Bamburgh and Alnwick for outings packed with history, thanks to both of their castles and Bamburgh's access to the Farne Islands; alternatively, pay Newcastle a visit for a day out in a vibrant city.

A serene base with so much to see and do nearby, 4 The Oaks is a brilliant choice for a Northumbrian escape.

A very clean, well equipped and comfortable chalet.

Off road parking and Smart TV were appreciated. In a well tended and quiet holiday/golf park. An excellent location for touring the north of Northumberland. Only criticism is that there was reference to a shop on the site, but we were told by staff at the Barri Bar that this no longer exists.

Pros and cons with this holiday let.

Pros are: absolutely great plot, lovely privacy and fantastic park, nice there were 2 bathrooms, good washer. Cons are: not very clean, sticky surfaces that needed cleaning, very hard bed, a slight smell which is probably due to dirty carpets, very worn sofa, decking could do with cleaning and a sun umblella, NO dishwasher as stated there was, carpets in bathrooms - no comment needed, very uncomfortable dining chairs which were so heavy, could hardly move them, dirty table. Overall, the cabin needed badly updating which would make this an excellent choice if was done.
