4 The Oaks

We loved the lodge and my only grouse was that as I slept separately in a single bed the mattress was awful and I used a duvet to sleep on so the springs didn't stick into me.

The double bed my husband used seemed ok. The site is beautiful but we had to go out to find restaurants.Somewhere on the park for food would be helpful for some meals (other than a golf club which is hardly ever open).

Absolutely lovely lodge,clean, cosy and homely.

Milk and other goodies left for us on arrival which was very much appreciated as we arrived late evening in the dark. Very handy location for Alnwick, Morpeth and Holy island. Only suggestion we have would be to put larger duvets on the single beds as the current single ones aren't big enough when you've moved in your sleep during the night and you end up uncovered and feeling cold now winter is approaching. Other than that it was lovely and we'll definitely be back.

A lovely clean and comfortable lodge, in a nice setting, we had deer walking past and goldcrests flitting around in the trees.

Well situated for all the local attractions with Alnwick and the Northumberland coast a short drive and walks in the woods on your doorstep. Lovely welcome pack, would certainly stay again

Great location, lodge nicely furnished and laid out felt it could do with a little bit of TLC and refurbishment.

But overall we’ve had a great time.

The lodge was clean and extremely comfortable. We loved the location and the feeling of privacy on the decking area, surrounded by trees and the lovely stream running by.

The place was so spotless. It had everything you needed even had extra toiletries and a lovely welcome basket when we arrived with crisps, biscuits etc, even milk in the fridge for our arrival, & dog treats . It was honestly one of the best places we had stayed. It was nice to stay in a place that was actually dog friendly with treats, dog bed and bowls incase it was needed. It's located in a nice spot on the site and everyone on site is so friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be returning.

Fantastic property spotlessly clean and comfortable Excellent facilities everything you need needed.

Wonderful extra touches like spare toiletries in case you’ve forgotten anything,even dog bowls and treats. The site was exceptionally clean and well maintained no litter anywhere I would certainly recommend it. Everyone friendly and helpful. My sister and I had a fantastic time. We hope to return again soon I would highly recommend it ❤️

Property was clean and tidy with all utensils and equipment required for our stay.

However the property is in need of an exterior paint as the decking and wood panels look very tired,

Very enjoyable stay in the lodge , lovely quiet area Very clean probably the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in, everything worked from the microwave to the heating, welcome pack from milk, biscuits, cleaning products loo and kitchen supplies were well supplied, definitely recommend

A lovely cabin on a peaceful site, everything required was available in the kitchen and bathroom and the overall place was very clean, great location with easy routes to all of the coastal towns, we really enjoyed our stay.

No buggy as stated so our elderly parents couldn’t see the whole site but the accommodation was very clean.

There is also no dishwasher. Good base location as close to Alnwick and Alnmouth

Lodge was lovely & very clean with everything you need & lots of little extras provided. Owners left a nice touch with a welcome pack & a file with useful information in. (Our Grandson loved the biscuits!) Ideal location for visiting Alnwick castle. The Grandchildren enjoyed the playpark & tennis. Would definitely stay here again & have already recommended it to friends & family. Thank you

This property was very clean, there wasn't a spot of dirt or a cobweb anywhere.

Every room smelled fresh and clean upon arrival. The bedding smelled lovely and clean throughout our stay. The welcome pack was great, even including dog treats for our dog. We enjoyed a very peaceful holiday, very quiet at night and no noise. We had a comfortable and peaceful stay and enjoyed sitting in the outside decking which was ideal for our dog as it was an enclosed area.

We had a lovely holiday staying at 4 The Oaks.

It was comfortable, welcoming and everything we needed had been thought about. Claire was very approachable and at the end of the phone if we had any questions. Percy Woods site was quiet even in July when we went, lovely woodland walks for the dog and everyone was friendly. It was the perfect location for exploring the coast and castles. We loved everything about the holiday and will be returning.

The property was clean and comfortable the owner left a few treats when we got there which was a nice touch. Everything ther you would possibly need for a relaxing holiday..

Took my daughter and my 3 grandchildren up to Northumberland for a short break before the start of term.

We had a lovely stay. The lodge was perfect for us. Plenty of space. Excellent kitchen facilities. We went to the zoo, the beach and Alnwick - all easily accessible from the site. Would highly recommend. Will definitely return!

This was my first short stay in UK holiday park.

4 the oaks was very comfortable and surprised by size / level of detail (like home from home). My family enjoyed the short 3 night stay in Northumberland and enjoyed walking Swadland / further a field (Bamburgh / Alnwick / Seahorses). 4 the oaks is very accessible off the A1 and great location to sight see the stunning locations Northumberland has to offer. Will certainly book up again with sykecottages in future (great service/ clear instructions / frequent updates)..........great job and thoroughly recommended. All the best Gavin

4 The Oakes proved to be an excellent property and center for our exploration of Northumberland.

Being close to the A1 was an added convenience. The facilities provided were 'top notch', with the large TV & Netflix in particular appreciated and using the on site golf course was also free of charge. As ever there were a couple of negatives: - We were lucky with the sun shining but it made eating and TV viewing difficult without any curtains to moderate it. A very minor point. - The site is quiet and peaceful but large and the on-site bar / shop is a long hike for the more mature.

(Family of 3 with our 8yr old child).The lodge is very well maintained & presented. It was comfortable & cosy. Well stocked kitchen and the welcome basket was a nice touch. Very helpful info in the folder for things to do locally. Great location. Would stay here again & definitely recommend to others.

Just returned from a lovely few day's, lodge is spotless and everything you could need is provided.

Very accommodating owners, if I may suggest a bedside cabinet in the main bedroom would be welcome for glasses, tablet's and water. Couldn't fault the lodge we have already booked to return in September

Brilliant owners very helpful . Immaculate lodge Only thing I would recommend would be a runner in the hall as when bad weather and coming indoors especially if have a dog not alot of room to take boots off and would like to get marks on carpet . Would definately return .

Lovely accommodation, clean and well equipped.

Great base to explore the beaches (Alnmouth and Seahouses were great) and castles nearby.

What an amazing place, peaceful relaxing even with two kids in tow.

Great location for Alnwick, Belsay Hall, Morpeth, we even took the kids to diggerland in Durham. We only had one issue when we arrived but it was very quickly sorted by the lovely owners. If you love gold like we do the free use of the course was a great bonus

The lodge was absolutely spotless and beautifully clean.

There were so many things available in terms of utensils etc. Very peaceful surroundings and lovely decking area to relax on. We had a brilliant week and the lodge was perfect for us as a family!

We had an excellent time, the accommodation was perfect we especially liked all of the little details that were above and beyond what we expected. There was a welcome pack for us and our dog and they had thought of everything. The lodge was extremely comfortable with everything we needed, it really did feel like home when we returned from days out. We highly recommend as a great place to stay and enjoy a comfortable break in a beautiful location.
