Felton 2.9 miles.

Tucked away on the Percy Wood Golf and Country Retreat, The Treeline is a beautifully-presented, family-friendly lodge sitting in the rural village of Swarland near Felton.

The lodge benefits from a pine forest backdrop and has been thoughtfully decorated with quality furnishings making a wonderful base for a family's Northumberland adventures.

Contemporary meets rustic inside the property, where upon entering the wooden lodge you'll be wowed by a bright, open-plan living space.

Vaulted ceilings, stylish lights and small touches such as blankets and decorations will make you love returning to The Treeline.

A well-presented kitchen features corian worktops, white cupboards and everything you need for a self-catering stay; whip up delicious breakfasts using the electric oven and gas hob, plus a fresh cup of coffee from the coffee maker!

Dine at the table with patio doors looking out onto the park, before sinking into the cushioned sofas in front of the electric fire and Smart TV.

On warmer nights, step out onto the wrap-around decking to relax with a cold glass of wine in a peaceful setting; perhaps you'll spot local wildlife such as deer, owls and rabbits!

A sleek bathroom awaits at the end of a busy day with a bath, shower over and marble-effect wet wall.

With thoughtful colour schemes and furnishings, rest your head in one of two bedrooms; panelled walls, smart storage spaces and TVs make both the twin and double with en-suite lovely settings to unwind in.

Guests have access to a number of on-site facilities during their stay, including a golf course, tennis court and play area.

The historic town is a short journey away to visit the famed Hogwarts castle, wander through the formal gardens, and stop for lunch in the quirky Treehouse café.

Home to Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Forest and the Cheviot Hills, the Northumberland National Park is a must-visit for walkers, wildlife lovers and anyone seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle.

Stop off at Rothbury for lunch to discover The National Trust's Cragside, a rural mansion with fabulous gardens, or test your swing at the town's golf club.

Morpeth is also nearby for historic streets to wander down and spot the clock tower, medieval chantry and Carlisle Park.

Northumberland Coast AONB is also within easy reach to get the best of both country and seaside!

A great lodge, beautifully presented & in an ideal location for exploring Northumberland.

The thoughtful extras of milk, butter, bread, jams, coffee & biscuits & the delicious doughnuts were very much appreciated. A lot of love , care & attention to detail was everywhere to see, thank you, we had a lovely stay!

It was immaculate which meant I could relax with my children who suffer with disabilities.

It was so clean and wonderful and we most certainly will be back.

Overall a lovely homely, comfortable and nicely decorated lodge.

The fresh bread, milk, doughnuts etc that were left for us was greatly appreciated. The kitchen had everything you could need, very well equipped. The only thing that could improve it is a dishwasher. The bed wasn't to our liking, too soft and only a double, but that's a personal preference. We had to wash quite a few crockery items before we could use them and the floor was very sticky. The holiday park was very quiet and although Treeline was at the end of a row, it really isn't very private, with caravans all around it and very close together. We didn't use any of the facilities on site. The location was brilliant, a very good base as it was very close to lots of places we wanted to visit. We had a great week for our first visit to Northumberland.
