Lovely stay but unfortunately we had to leave early (Tue) due to a family bereavement

Absolutely wonderful Lodge in an idealic setting.

From the moment we set foot into the property I felt like being at home. It was so spacious and welcoming I couldn't fault anything. Everything you need is there for your use. If you are into fishing this is the place for you as it is right next to a well stocked lake. You even have plenty of wildlife around you which we are lovers of, especially feeding our duck friends. Thank you Chris and Janine for the welcome pack it was much appreciated and credit to you both for a superb holiday for us both. Will definitely be back again.

This is our third stay at Stones Throw, two of which were under the previous ownership.

I'm pleased to say that the current owner has maintained the high standard set previously. The location is well placed for visiting several stately houses, and there are good pubs/restaurants in the area. The fishing is excellent and the wildlife plentiful and varied. I'm looking forward to a fourth start in the future.

Stunning lodge , very well thought out with all the extras that would not normally be included.

Welcome pack bread,milk and a chocolate cake to go with the already provided tea, coffee and sugar. Very relaxing and comfortable. Loved it that much booked again for next year but for a week this time. Fishing was great too. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

The property was very comfortable and well presented.

Lovely welcome pack. Fishing literally on the doorstep was excellent. Plenty of places close by to visit we will definitely be rebooking for longer next time

A wonderful stay at a lovely lodge.

The owners are fabulous and make it a welcoming experience in their special accomodation. The lady on site who manages the lodge for the owners is also lovely and ensures everything is spotless. Very dog friendly. The fishing was brilliant too. Will return!

Fantastic stay in a gorgeous lodge, beautifully situated at the edge of a lake.

All facilities good, there was a problem with the drains whilst we were there which did impact our stay with the smell, however the problem was addressed and will certainly not stop us from coming again. The only thing we could suggest would be potentially some softer pillows, apart from that a 10 out of 10

We have stayed at Stonesthrow lodge previous to the new owners & the subtle changes to the lodge are lovely.

It's a very calming and relaxing lodge. Absolutely spotlessly clean on arrival & a lovely welcome box too for both us & the dogs. Beds are comfy, sofa is very comfy too for those autumn/winter nights. A perfect location overlooking the lake. The kitchen is well equipped & an air fryer is an added bonus too. The lodge needs a larger teapot as the mugs for tea & coffee are huge, however, that's just a personal choice for us northerners lol. We'll certainly be booking Stonesthrow again soon . Thanks for a lovely stay.

We love it. Second visit and two more to look forward to next year. Home from home literally. So spotlessly clean and comfortable. The owner goes to such trouble to make sure the place is perfect. Can't wait to come back. I could quite easily live here.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay with our 2 children and 2 dogs.

The property was clean, beds were very comfortable, we loved the little treats we had left for us and my children caught their first fish! We will definitely be back here and cant wait until our next stay

The views of the lake where fantastic, everything was spectacular my Granddaughter got her 1st 7llb Carp my Son got a 14 llb Carp the lake is teaming with fish.

Fishing was a real treat. The lodge was so clean with everything you would need and more very luxurious. We had a fantastic time and will be returning. Thank you so much

The lodge was perfect for mum and I, she's 88 years old so we loved relaxing on the deck watching the ducks on the pond and reading our books.

Absolutely stunning lodge, clean and fresh with everything that you would need.

Nothing bad to stay we had a wonderful time. My husband fished the lake a few hours a day and caught loads of fish and different species. Our nephew caught his first ever carp and was over the moon! Beds and settee were comfortable! We brought our 2 Labradors and they loved it being able to watch the lake and enclosed decking was fantastic as they couldn’t actually get to the lake, with lots of paths and scenic places to walk them. Will defo be back.
