This place is incredible and looks even better than the photos .

The space and areas on offer have been very carefully thought of and designed with no expense spared with attention to finer details done respectfully. Ample storage , lovely finishing touches with decor , towels , robes , bedding etc . Lots of available contact and support with the host as of when required along with subtle checking in when in site and biscuits left on the patio as a treat to feed the sheep behind us . The campsite has been respectfully landscaped with the added feature of a fire pit and swing for all to enjoy . The hot tub was perfect with stunning views over the field , the outdoor provision of BBQ and fire were well received and used at night ( don’t forget your marshmallows to toast !) A must visit is the local farmers shop , a 5 minute walk away with delicious home made treats and delicacies . Nothing is too much trouble for anyone here , if you’re looking for a peaceful tranquil retreat in style then look no further for this amazing glamping experience that is a must for a few days away and will instantly feel like home !

Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish.

Can't even think of a single flaw. We even got some food for the sheep to feed them and they were super friendly. Would definitely recommend!

This was an incredible and memorable stay.

The perfect location, the perfect accommodation, the perfect view. I booked this as a surprise for my wife’s 40th birthday and it exceeded expectations. Everything is well maintained and thoughtfully selected. The hot tub was wonderful and a real treat. It overlooks a wheat field and felt incredibly relaxing and peaceful, particularly with the brilliant weather. We had a couple of interactions with the owner who is friendly, personable and helpful. Even the wifi was good enough to stream England vs Norway on a laptop - I couldn’t believe it! We cannot say enough good things about this stay. Very special, grateful for a wonderful weekend and would have no hesitation in booking again.

Had an absolutely unreal stay here for 4 nights.

Glorious weather, amazing unexpected aircon which was a blessing! Really lovely owners and the local people are so nice and friendly. Can not recommend enough! We both felt that pretty much everything was accounted for, plenty of cutlery, crockery, cooking facilities. Really comfy bed too! There was also milk in the fridge upon arrival, biscuits and coffee pods which was lovely! If I was being extremely picky there were a few things we needed to purchase however I would never expect these things to be given as standard I just think it would be a nice touch if they were provided. Extra toilet roll Salt and pepper Kitchen roll Extra sponge as after cleaning the outside hotplate our sponge was too dirty to use inside. Other than that it was perfect! Great view, nice and quiet, exactly what we needed. Thanks so much ❤️

The place was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed to feel completely at home. What really made the experience special, though, were the owners. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, and you can really tell how much care they put into making guests feel comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect getaway

Had a great peaceful weekend here, it had everything you would need plus very clean and comfy bed, with the hot tub and outside facilities also great, would highly recommend and with lovely hosts that put there heart and soul into making this place a great success

Perfect choice for a peaceful getaway.

Shepherd’s hut was lovely and cosy, outside space was great with amazing views over the countryside. Wendy and David were fantastic hosts, taking the time to chat with us and advise of things to do in the area. Hot tub was electric which was an added bonus also the hut had air conditioning. Would 100% recommend staying here!

What an amazing, peaceful and tranquil place to be.

The property and facilities were second to none, and had everything you could think of to make it a true home from home. Wendy and Dave were an amazing couple who made you, not only feel welcome, but part of the family. We had such an amazing time that we have rated this holiday joint number 1, alongside our Jamaica trip, it was that good. We will most definitely be returning.

Quiet getaway in a rural setting.

A comfortable retreat in a well maintained shepherds hut with stunning views across the country and all the facilities you need for self-catering. The owners checked the hot tub daily, which is reassuring. I would recommend this lovely place to stay.

We have just got back from a wonderful 2 night stay here, everything about this stay is perfect - the attention to detail in the decor, the views, the facilities, the peacefulness, the bed and pillows (so comfy) and the little extras like chocs & milk in the fridge.

Cute things like games, pretty lights, blankets and every utensil, mug, glass, plate you’d need! The owners (who are so lovely and welcoming) have thought about everything to make your stay absolutely bliss. The hot tub is the best I’ve been in! Loved cooking on the bbq and putting the fire pit on - lots of memories made here we will not forget. Thank you so much - Zoe and Zane xx

We stayed here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

The setting is absolutely stunning, peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful countryside as far as the eye can see. The outdoor space is so thoughtfully set up, with a cozy seating area under a canopy, a hot tub for relaxing under the stars, and a lovely deck perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the whole place had such a relaxing, welcoming vibe. You can tell the hosts put real thought into making it feel special — from the stylish decor to the comfy outdoor furniture and little touches like the fire pit and cushions. It was the ideal getaway — peaceful, romantic, and really memorable. We left feeling completely recharged. Would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone.

It was clean, comfortable and everything we were after. It might be worth explicitly putting no oven on the listing as we did get a bit confused. But otherwise the whole experience was great.

The shepards hut had everything my partner and I needed and more. We were meant to stay at another shepards hut 30 miles away and it was cancelled last minute so we were so happy to have found Limetree Glamping. The way the interior and exterior is decorated is beautiful! The outside fire was perfect and the canopie over the seating area was great because when it rained we still felt super sheltered and cosy! Blankets were supplied which was a bonus to feel warm on colder nights! The following day we had beautiful sun so we walked down to feed the sheep with the sheep feed that Dave and Wendy supply. The sheep are in the field next to the plot who ran right to the gate to greet us! They all have their own little personalities and that was such fun meeting them all. The hot tub was perfect for two and everything felt so private. Dave keeps the grounds and hot tub very clean and looked after and he was very helpful when we wanted more firewood and an extra towel. On greeting Wendy she realised it was my birthday and came back shortly to our hut to drop off a bottle of bubble on ice and a gorgeous rose flower. It made my birthday feel so special and I couldn't have appreciated that kind gesture more! We also popped into the town close by as I booked a massage with 'Zen o Clock' which was honestly the best massage ive ever had! And the prices were so cheap for a full body massage! By the end of the weekend we were so thankful that the other place we were meant to stay cancelled because this shepards hut and the grounds were the best we've stayed on. Wendy and Dave are a lovely and friendly, kind couple who have produced a beautiful escape into tranquility! I couldn't recommend staying here enough! Also, I must mention the bed is soooo comfortable! I wasn't expecting it! We really wish we had booked a longer stay here as 2 nights went too quickly. If you want to experience staying in a shepards hut then you have to stay here! You won't regret it!!

The property and the pods were lovely, everything about the place was homey and welcoming.

The owners were kind and came out to meet us and support us with our stay. There’s a local farm shop nearby that serves amazing food and good produce to buy. I would recommend this place to anyone who thinks of staying.

My partner and I stayed here for a week a few months back now and we really really enjoyed our stay.

Close enough to a large town for any shopping you might need to do but tucked away in the beautiful local countryside even with a view of Lincoln cathedral (if you look hard enough). Very lovely host who is approachable and accommodating who also answered and helped us with any queries that we had! Would and have recommended the luxury glamping to all family and friends, couldn’t have had a nicer stay if we tried! Bonus being the bed was incredibly comfortable and the hot tub was amazing. The outdoor fire and hot plate along with the outdoor eating/seating area really makes your stay special.

Amazing 3 night break in portland hut.

The owners have thought of everything they are so welcoming and go above and beyond for you whilst there. The outside space is by far the best out of the ones we've previously stayed at, as well as the decor and cleanliness of it all.....superb! The communal seating with fire pit is a great addition if travelling with friends and family. We also loved the church bells ringing the time, great for putting phones away and having a little reminder in the background. The only thing we were unhappy with was having to come home!! We have already recommended this place to a few friends and are booking 2 stays again for next year. We can't wait to return!

To say this was one of the best finds to escape for a weekend would be an under statement.

We booked this place at 10pm for the following day. Everything was perfect, hut had amazing air conditioning and heating. Outdoor cooking was brilliant along with hot tub, plunge bucket and fire place. Regardless of weather, we had both rain and sun and both were lovely. You can enjoy the entire experience in all weathers. I must say to the lady of the house whom designed and bought all the amenities. You did incredible. You didn't cheap out on anything! This really is luxury. Robes, towels, blankets, bedding and chairs. Everything feels high quality and you have truly made an incredible weekend escape.

Excellent place to stay well looked after everything you would need for you stay is included, nice little farm shop around the corner but you need to give 24hrs for some stuff so best to do it the day you get there.

Would 100% recommend to anyone who is thinking about staying there

So peaceful and well kept. Furnishings throughout were perfectly done and thought out with great facilities and lovely farm shops and places to visit locally. We recommend a tour of the 'Creswell Craggs' for a interesting and very picturesque trip out. Amazing view across the valley on a night. Turn all the lights out and enjoy an amazingly clear night sky and possibly see a shooting star from your hot tub with a glass of wine...Paradise. Would highly recommend Limetree glamping retreat and will be definitely visiting again.

We had such an amazing long-weekend in ‘Portland’.

The hosts literally could not have done more to make us feel welcome. 10 stars just for them. Another 10 for the property. The hut was beautifully clean and so stylishly decorated. Loved it. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Peaceful surroundings overlooking farmland with beautiful views from the hut and the hot tub. It’s pet and kids tree too so ideal if you want to get away from it all and just relax and indulge. Farm shop nearby and a we found a lovely cross-country walk from the village to Retford nearby, Lincoln is not far to drive either. Will definitely, definitely be back. Cannot wait.

The accommodation was very clean and modern.

It was very well kitted out with all the amenities you could wish for. The host were very pleasant and always at hand to accommodate any of my requirements. The hot tub was a hit, just perfect for relaxing in towards the end of each evening.

Portland is an absolutely beautiful stay, everything is done to such a high standard and there is everything you could want and more.

What a great experience staying here the atmosphere was so tranquil and peaceful. Amazing views! Everything we needed was there it was like being home from home. Our stay was perfect.

The lodge had everything we needed and was spotless. The aesthetic of the grounds as well as the interior was gorgeous and so well though out. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, allowing us to feed the sheep before we left. Everyone was so helpful and made this retreat stress free. We loved the many features like the hot tub, the outdoor cold shower, the outdoor hob and log burner and the seating area under the canopy. Although not completely fenced off, the hut feels so private due to the gorgeous plants and trees surrounding. It was a perfect location and so peaceful. Me and my partner cooked dinner all 3 nights and had everything we needed to do so , so so happy with our stay and would definitely recommend to friends and family! Thankyou.
