Quiet & secure location on outskirts of village.
Great base for River Trent fishing holiday. Our stay was during heatwave, but able to get lovely through breeze from opening huge patio windows (did bring our own fan with us). Great to have sitting out areas front & back to make most of shade. Maybe add signage for designated parking (I.e. which side of chalet is whose) as new neighbours got confused. Fab Indian takeaway from Lord Nelson pub. Will definitely stay here again.
Lovely comfortable accommodation set securely in spacious grounds.
The site could do with some sort of a sign as it was very easy to miss the turning as we did. The kitchen could do with some mixing/salad bowls, a bigger fry pan and maybe a couple more mugs. The ability to watch live terrestrial TV would be a welcome addition as well. Otherwise a brilliant stay at Cedar Lodge with plenty to see in the area.
Only one small point.
Would be better if a fob for the main gate was issued with lodge key. In and out at the gate,no fun in thr rain.
