Oh Deer

Had the most amazing weekend staying in Oh Deer glamping pod, the attention to detail was second to none and every part of the pod to the water tub to the grounds was perfect, we have booked to stay again next year as we enjoyed it that much.

The highlight for us was meeting the lovely Jane, nothing was to much trouble and she was a pleasure to meet along with husband Phil and Libby the Labrador. Can’t recommend enough.

A beautiful stay at Oh Deer.

Jane, our host, was brilliant from start to finish. Impeccably clean throughout with special attention to detail. A stunning place to unwind and relax. We would certainty stay again!

This is one of our favourite places to stay and we have stayed at dozens over the years Beautiful scenery watching the deers in the field across from the pod.

Blissfully quiet and relaxing The pod was immaculate and had everything you needed We were even provided with an extra tower fan as it was very hot. Had an amazing time for a lovely romantic break.

The proscecco was a lovely treat as were the other little extras. Hot tub was fab although we only used it once. We were lucky with some gorgeous weather and nice to sit out and chill with a glass. ! Spotlessly clean, and full of thoughtful little touches. We were met by the host, who was friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the local area. We would 100% recommend this beautiful spot to stay!

Everything has been so thoughtfully designed and finished to an exceptionally high standard. The pod is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and it's clear Jane & Phil have put so much care into every little detail – they've genuinely thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. It is a very quiet and relaxing place to be, certainly when watching the deer from the log fired hot tub of an evening. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic long weekend celebrating our Anniversary.

Jane and Phill could not be more accommodating, the pod was spotless and has everything in it you could possibly need for your stay. Jane has thought of everything down to the smallest details which really made the stay feel like a home away from home. !! We stayed over valentines weekend and we couldn’t have had a better weekend! It was the most relaxing two night stay! We enjoyed the hot tub, relaxing amongst the deer and walked to the lovely local pub for tea. Jane- the host couldn’t have been more accommodating. The service and quality of Oh Deer is impeccable! Jane even put lovely valentines decorations up for us to enjoy on our stay! We arrived later in the evening at 7pm and Jane still came down to give us a lovely warm welcome and show us round the pod. I couldn’t fault one part of our stay. I would definitely book again and would recommend for others to book too!

Wow these pods are very well equipped, spotlessly clean very comfortable.

We stayed while recent storm Claudia hit us and we slept all the way through in the comfy bed. Jane was very helpfull and informative . These are a must stay for anyone and I would highly recommend. Hot tub is a great extra and deers in the field so calming . Treat yourself and book it you won’t regret it .

We had a very relaxed stay at Oh dear, so comfortable and quiet, the pod is very clean and has everything you could need for a relaxing holiday.

Jane met us on arrival to talk us through how things work, which makes the rest of the time at the pod so much easier. The log-fired hot tub is amazing, very nice sitting out listening to the owls at night. 10 out of 10 from us

What a wonderful place.

The pod is definitely luxury glamping set in a beautiful spot. We loved the hot tub which was so easy to use as Jane cleaned out the fire and set it up ready for us to light. Such lovely owners so welcoming and friendly. It was such a relaxing few days away from it all. We will definitely be returning.

We had such a lovely break away at this cozy cabin in the countryside.

It has the perfect mix of modern comfort and rustic charm, and we instantly felt at home. The peaceful setting made it so easy to switch off and relax, and the little touches around the place made our stay even more special. If you’re looking for somewhere to escape to and recharge, I can’t recommend this cabin enough — we’re already talking about when we can come back!

Had everything you need. Immaculately kept/clean both inside and out. Lovely peaceful setting with surrounding grounds very well maintained. Can’t think of any negatives at all. Owner goes above and beyond with lots of little extras in the property. Can park car directly outside too.

Oh my word.

My wife and I had a 3 night stay here in "Oh Deer", and nearly ended up sqauting and never leaving!!! What a superb find. If you want peace and quiet, a nice rest, a lovely pub 1/2 a mile away....yes I know it's uphill, bonus is it's downhill coming home, and a superb hot tub to chill out in after that strenuous walk, then this is the place for you!!!! There is a great kitchen if you want to cook....why would you, most we did was toast for breakfast, and cheese and biscuits after the hot tub. The hot tub is wood fired and gets nice and hot, there are no bubble jet's so you can have a normal conversation, without shouting over them. It's VERY private, we did nod hello to our neighbour's, but that was about it! The shower is superb, nice and powerful and there were nice toiletries there to use. Lots to see and do locally, the weather was amazing while we were there too, and the deer wander down to say hello in the evenings. Jane the host pops down in the morning just to make sure you're OK, but apart they leave to enjoy the surroundings. Thank you for a great stay. We will 100% return.

Oh Deer was absolutely stunning.

There was so much attention to detail, the pod was spotless. Jane met us when we first got there to explain everything, she was so lovely and very helpful. She came every morning to prep the hot tub, which was amazing. I had messaged her before going away to let her know it was a surprise for my boyfriends birthday, so she put in some lovely decorations. The surroundings were beautiful and was lovely seeing the deer in the field. Just couldn't have asked for more.

This glamping site was amazing.

Pod was so clean, shower was better than some hotels I have stayed in, lots of power and spotless. Chocolates and Prosecco on arrival. Jane was an amazing host, very friendly and has clearly put in a lot of work to make these pods gorgeous. My husband particularly loved the wood fired hot tub. Area very quiet and local pub had lovely food and was a short walk. We stayed in Oh Deer. Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from an amazing stay at Ashbourne Holidays luxury glamping, and we couldn't be happier!

We stayed in the "Oh Deer" pod, and it was simply immaculate. Jane was fantastic, taking the time to explain everything and show us around – her warm hospitality really made a difference. The hot tub was the perfect size for two, making for some truly relaxing evenings. This place is a true credit to what they've created. If you're looking for a couple's retreat, Ashbourne Holidays is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend!

This was our first time Glamping and we can't praise it enough.

We stayed at jane and phils over the bank holiday weekend, we had an amazing stay, attention to detail was outstanding, pods are well equipped with everything you need and things you didn't realise you needed, the log fired hottub was incredible, everything is done well and this makes for a wonderful break, fantastic views, picturesque surrounding villages and lots of beautiful places to visit, will be back.

Good pub within 400m. Pod had everything we needed and a few extras. Just 3 pods on the site, so quiet and private. Jane (host) was very welcoming and helpful. Wood fired hot tub was easy to use

The lodge was amazing.

I was quite anxious to come here as i was heavily pregnant and me and my partner came for a small get away but jane and phil put us at ease we were informed of everything we needed and were very well looked after. the location is beautiful with the deer and with the pub only a few minutes up the road it was lovely for a quiet get away. We will definitely be back!

Made very welcome on arrival and Oh Deer was everything stated and more.

After heavy snowfall Jane and Phil cleared the snow to make sure it was as safe as possible. Our first Pod holiday and we loved it. Sub-zero temperatures during our stay but we were very comfortable and warm. Even the 'cold dash' to the hot tub was worth it!

Absolutely loved our 4 night stay at Oh Deer, a beautiful, well equipped, warm, comfortable glamping pod with a fab walk in shower and a hot tub too.

Jane met us on arrival and was so helpful. The on-site deer are inquisitive and came to say hello, a real bonus. Our first time glamping, think we may have stumbled on a gem. Pub just up the road (maybe 3 min walk, no more) with friendly vibe and great food. Lots of unexpected little extras that defo made this WOW!

A perfect and comfortable place to stay!

We cannot praise this place enough - from the moment we arrived, Jane welcomed us, explained everything we might need to know for our stay, offered lovely recommendations, and was happy to help! We were just a short drive away from some beautiful walking locations, experiences and restaurants (especially The Crown Inn, a 2 minute walk up the road). Knowing we were returning to a safe and cosy pod with a relaxing and easy to use wood fired hot tub was brilliant. Everything we needed for a 7 night stay was included. We had such a lovely stay, were very sad to be leaving, and will absolutely return in the future! Thank you Jane and Phil!

We had an unforgettable stay at Oh Deer glamping pod that was the perfect honeymoon getaway.

From the moment we arrived, our host Jane was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and offering great local recommendations. The pod itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the relaxing hot tub, which was a fantastic way to unwind while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The area around the pod was tranquil, providing a perfect escape and it was magical watching the deer frolick in the distance. Despite the serene setting, we found plenty of exciting places to explore just a short drive away. Whether it was scenic trails or charming local spots, there was no shortage of things to do. To top it off, the personalized touches for our honeymoon were truly special. A welcome with thoughtful goodies, prosecco, Mr & Mrs/congratulations decor and a heartfelt card made our stay even more memorable. Overall, this glamping pod was an ideal choice for our honeymoon, and we can’t wait to return!

We had an excellent stay at Oh Deer.

Jane the owner had wonderful hospitality and attention to detail, she meets you on arrival and talks you through everything which is lovely. Proseco, coffee/tea/hot choc and milk and biscuits were all provided which was a delightful addition to the pod. Oh deer itself was roomy, well equipped, incredibly clean and the bed and shower were superb. We really appreciated all the decoration and attention to detail that had gone in to decorating Oh Deer and it really elevated our stay to make it more enjoyable. The log fire hot tub was lovely and relaxing and Jane was an amazing host and helped us out a lot and nothing was too much trouble. Overall I would highly recommend Oh Deer it’s a wonderful place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back, we couldn’t fault anything it was perfect. It’s also a superb location with local pubs and farm shops near by and lots of good pubs and service are not too far of a drive or a walk down the road !

Everything was beautiful and fantastic and we had no problems at all!

It was nice and quiet and secure, the wildlife was amazing to view from the Hot Tub. Fast WiFi. Well maintained facilities and all :) Easy and straightforward to find and access various Peak District sites.

We really enjoyed our break at Oh Deer, the pod was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a great holiday, it was restful, quiet and very relaxing.

Jane was a lovely host very warm and friendly. We shall definitely be recommending it to our family and friends.

The pod has everything you need for your break away and it was immaculate. The hot tub is amazing to sit in at night when the sun goes down to look up at the stars. The deer next to the site are wonderful to sit and watch. The area is so peaceful and relaxing with plenty of surrounding areas to explore. We would definitely come stay again. The pods are immaculate The attention to detail is obvious as soon as you pull up to the pods, everything well thought out with privacy paramount.

The attention to detail follows through on the inside with everything you need to be more than comfortable, home from home. Cant praise the facilties enough. Cleanliness 100%. Jane the host and her husband take pride in the pods and grounds and like to personally welcome their guests to ensure an enjoyable stay. The hot tub is lovely to relax in the evening after a day out. A bonus is seeing the deer in the field

We chose this property primarily as it it was so close to the JCB Golf Club for the Liv Golf event.

But it was perfect in all ways. This property was exactly as described. A new pod with a hot tub, immaculately cleanthroughout, beautifully furnished and equipped with all that you you would require for your stay, either short or for a week. Jane made us so welcome (Prosecco and chocolate) but her genuine bubbly personality, help and advice, if required, made our stay fabulous.We would definitely stay here again without question and explore the beautiful the Peak District further. We had a fantastic week!

We loved our stay at Oh Deer!

The pod is furnished and maintained to a very high standard, and Jane, our host, was so welcoming and helpful on our arrival and throughout. We loved the special extra touches (the Prosecco and chocolate!) and the hot tub was wonderful. It’s a lovely rural site perfect for a quiet get away. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

Excellent location - we had not realised how close we were to some amazing attractions from 30mins to 1hr ie National Memorial Arboretum, Wrexham, Chester and Chatsworth House- to name a few.

The pod was charming, really nicely presented with easy use hot tub. Short 2min walk to nearest pub that served lovely food. Jane looked after us so well and have recommended to friends and family.

Had a lovely few days at Oh deer, WOW the pod is stunning and super clean, and the hot tub was lovely and easy to use.

We loved seeing the deer, and a hare was a regular visitor! Jane the host was lovely, recommending places to visit, and nothing was too much trouble. The pod is in a lovely rural location with a pub serving excellent food just 5 mins walk away. Just book it, you wont be disappointed, 100% recommend.

Oh Deer was a perfect getaway.

Peaceful and everything you need. Jane was a great host and very helpful - the arrival treats were very much appreciated. The wood fired hot tub was a perfect 'project' for my fire loving husband each day! The Crown Inn is a very short walk away, serving excellent food all day makes it a must visit!

Absolutely amazing!

Such a loverly property located in a great village, nice and rural. Facilities were top end with nice touches everywhere. Owners were so helpful and nice, and the hot tub was a dream!

We had a lovely New Years stay at Oh Deer!

Jane was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome when we arrived, the pod was spotless, cosy and the small touches by Jane made our stay even better. There’s a local pub just a few minutes walk away and a nice farm shop we visited a couple of times. We would recommend Oh Deer to anyone who wants a relaxing trip in the countryside.

Perfect, relaxing stay.

Me and my husband booked Oh Deer as a mini-moon for the first few days after our wedding. Everything about our stay was perfect. The pod was spotless and so well equipped. The owner Jane came to greet us which was a really nice touch, along with the bottle of Prosecco left for us! Jane has thought of everything, you can tell a lot of time and attention has been put into the creation of these pods. The area is so peaceful, waking up to the deer every morning was so lovely. The village pub is a short walk down the road and is so welcoming, serving really delicious pub grub. We also visited the Shed, again a short walk down the road for our morning eggs and sausages. We can't recommend this place enough!

We have had the most AMAZING few days at Oh Deer for our anniversary.

Everything was perfect, from the amazing hot tub, to the spotlessly clean pod, to the wonderful Jane. She is extremely friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is great. I honestly could not recommend this place enough- it is in the most amazing, peaceful location and I would not hesitate to return again - we have already discussed returning next year!!

Oh Deer was incredible.

Absolutely immaculate. As we arrived we were welcomed by the lovely Jane. As we were coming to oh dear for our mini moon, I’d brought some of my wedding flowers with me. Jane went out of her way to go get me a vase to display them in the pod. The pod is designed so well and meets all of your needs. If you were self catering there would be no reason to actually have to leave the pod. There were really lovely touches such as, the welcome book with ideas of what to do during your stay, books which we used one of to go on a trail.. it was so fun! A box with games in so we had lil card night with pizza, there was a Prosecco on arrival and choc buttons which were delicious. The hot tub was really easy to follow and use, this was also cleaned on our second day and refilled for us. The view is great and the surroundings are so quiet and with the view of the deers it was just bliss. We spent 4 nights in the pod and we definitely wanted to stay longer and there was plenty more for us to go and do, we have already said we will definitely stay there again!

This is our second holiday in a Pod and we love them.

Oh Deer pod was immaculate, very well equipped kitchen area, shower room had both hand held shower and waterfall head, great. Furnishings were very pleasing to the eye and comfortable. The outlook from the front was lovely and you could see the deer in the surrounding field, very private area for the hot tub which we managed to use a few times. Jane the owner came and introduced herself on our arrival and gave us lots of info on where to visit in the surrounding areas. She was really pleasant. Would certainty go back again.

Was a brilliant break, very relaxing and plenty to do. The weather was boiling hot which meant we just decided to relax around the pod during a few of the days, there was plenty of room and was very homely

The lodge was very clean and spacious and we were amazed when we first opened the doors to it.

So quiet and peaceful, and it was lovely to see the deer and their newest member! We didn't want to leave!

Jane and Phil our hosts from OH Deer and NO DEER . Could not do enough for us they were very welcoming and warm friendly people. The accommodation was first class myself and wife stayed in OH Deer excellent hosts the accommodation was by far first class the pod was beautifully laid out spacious warm and sparkling clean. The bathroom and shower was brilliant the amenities were also first class. The hot tub was perfect and so easy to operate the ambience of the scenery was beautiful peaceful and seren. The herd of deers were beautiful as was the fawn and they were not shy. The local pub The Crown Inn was perfect. Myself and my wife had a beautiful peaceful 4 chilled out days money very well spent. We throughly recommend this to any would be holiday chill out brilliant. Thanks Jane and Phil keep up the great work John and Debbie

Very comfortable and quiet and though small it had everything we needed and it was just such a restful stay. We absolutely loved the hot tub! Everything was perfectly clean and of good quality too. Really can recommend this.

The size of the pod was perfect for 2 people and the hot tub was lovely. Jane is absolutely wonderful and was always on hand to help when needed. Definitely would recommend this without a shadow of a doubt!

The hot tub was lovely - although it took approx. 2 hours to heat up as it was a wood burning one, this was no problem for us, and it was easy to use! Jane the owner was lovely, came to greet us at the start and made us feel very welcome. We have already recommended to a few friends to come with their partners.
