Hillside Lodge

This was the most perfect place we have ever stayed.

The house and outdoor space was just perfect and has everything you need and more! The views were amazing and it was very quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend staying here and the added bonus of a massive hot tub which we all enjoyed! We will hopefully return in the future! Thankyou for a perfect stay!

Ideal place for a tranquil, relaxing break.

Perfect place to unwind…. It’s quite remote on the lower slopes of Clee Hill so it’s a car journey to anywhere or a stiff walk uphill back to lodge…..front of property is in the sun in the afternoon and an evening dip in the tub as the sun sets is a great way to end your day….

Marie gave us a warm welcome!

The property is very quiet and well equipped, and has spectacular far reaching views. We really appreciated the comfortable bed and furnishings, and given the cool weather, we were always toasty warm indoors! The outdoor facilities were excellent too, with the wood burner, hot tub and cooking area. An excellent stay.

Stunning location with beautiful un interrupted views of Shropshire Hills.

The cottage had enough parking for two cars although access during heavy rain was challenging. The cottage was lovely and warm and clean with all necessary pots, pans and utensils. We found the lounge and dining area well laid out. The front bedroom bed (blue bed) was reportedly uncomfortable for our guests as the mattress appeared to be too small for the frame. The other bed base was torn in places. The separate outside covered area that houses the hot tub is lovely (particularly in the good weather) and the hot tub was great with lovely views. We had a lovely stay at the cottage even though, like the rest of the U.K, we had persistent heavy rain. Ludlow is only a short drive away with ample eateries, we particularly enjoyed meals at The Queens and The Blue Boar. There is a Farmshop just outside Ludlow that is worth a visit and the food there is delicious.

The lodge was clean and comfortable and the outdoor area was great. The owners of the lodge were very accommodating and were on hand if you needed anything. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wow, we had a wonderful stay at Hillside Lodge, it’s situated in a peaceful tranquil area near Ludlow.

The lodge was spotless clean, and beautifully decorated. If your looking for total relaxation and need to unwind then this is the place to visit. The beds were comfortable and the bifold doors in the one bedroom give you a beautiful view across the hills of Ludlow. We loved the outdoor space with the hot tub, it’s perfect for all types of weather.

An absolute hidden gem in a wonderful location.

The lodge is spacious, beautiful and well maintained. It has everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. Big thank you to Marie for making us feel so welcome.

The Lodge was comfy, cosy & in a beautiful rural setting, perfect to escape from it all.

We’ve stayed at the other Lodge a few years ago & would definitely stay at either one again. The outside wood burner was lovely next to the hot tub area & a plentiful supply of wood given by the owners. R & T

Really well equipped and comfortable. The outside area is just wonderful and we certainly made the most of it even in November! Marie was in contact with us before our stay and during and couldn't have been more helpful. The views from the lodge are stunning and we would love to return one day as we had such a lovely week. My only negative feedback would be that the shower lacked pressure and for someone with a lot of hair it was hard going! Not a dealbreaker but something that may affect some more than others. Overall a wonderful stay, wonderful lodge and wonderful hosts!

and the lodge had everything for a comfortable stay the host was very warm and welcoming. The only thing that could’ve been better was the shower. the water pressure was low and the temperature was only just warm.

Wonderful holiday lodge in a stunningly beautiful area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - met by Marie who welcomed us and our dogs and explained how to use the hot tub etc. The lodge is immaculately clean and well-equipped for a self catering stay. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and the view from the double room is stunning. The outdoor area is just wonderful - the hot tub is perfect, the outdoor seating is comfortable and good quality and the garden is fabulous for the dogs. It was safe and secure so they could roam around while we enjoyed the hot tub. The views from the garden and hot tub are the icing on the cake! There’s also plenty to do and see around and about - you can walk up behind the lodge and onto Clee Hill. Thank you Marie for a wonderful stay - we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The property is amazing in terms of its location, views, indoor / outdoor living areas.

The hot tub is fab and great to be under the canopy. All clean and tidy - unfortunate issue with the kitchen floor which couldn’t be helped. The bathroom lets it down a bit - the sink gets very wet around the tap, soaking anything left on the ledge and the shower head will not remain at any other angle than straight up which then splashed the floor. Water pressure not great either. We did think for the price another loo roll and some hand soap in the bathroom should have been included. Similarly, a good supply of washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets should also be included, especially as the griddle takes some scrubbing to get clean. The front door lock doesn’t feel very secure. It works obviously, but for peace of mind another internal lock would help reduce a few little anxieties. Overall, a fantastic property and well worth a visit.

Absolutely lovely cottage and really cosy.

..Marie was really attentive and always responded to messages. It was so lovely and peaceful and my dogs did nothing more than relax and enjoy the garden as did we, we were spoilt with the weather which helped alot and meant we could enjoy the outdoor surroundings. We were there for the week and really did enjoy ourselves. The only downside was having to come home. Thanks so much Marie

The most gorgeous setting, and perfect if you have dogs.

However, we were only given one toilet roll for three nights and four people. There was also not enough washing up liquid or hand soap and only one bin bag! Otherwise it was perfect. Location is brilliant if you want something quiet with stunning views. Facilities were fantastic at the property and everything was very clean and finished to a lovely standard.

Absolutely stunning and amazing.

The views are absolutely stunning. The whole experience was incredible. If you want complete rest and quite then this holiday home is for you. The village is about 10 minutes drive, however not alot goes on. The castle is ok. If you want a town to visit then Hereford is about an hour away. Overall I would recommend this place. The owner is available anytime and is so very helpful, kind and happy to help with anything. 9 out of 10 given.

Lovely lodge in a fantastic location , perfect for dog walks , right on the doorstep ,our mini dachshund made it up to the summit of Clee hill twice, the views from there were stunning as are the ones from the lodge, pictures do not do it justice.

Hot tub excellent and outdoor area perfect for summer evenings. Lodge well equipped and clean , for us the best overall package through Sykes so far .

Another great stay at Hillside Lodge, think we had every kind of weather during the 7 days, but we could still get out into the covered outdoor area during the rainy days and every night.

New sofa,s are great, especially the recliner, very comfortable. The dogs loved the outdoor space and the walks straight from the door are excellent. Be booking soon for next year. Thanks Marie for a lovely stay. John, Gill, and the two dogs Kendo and Meg

We had a lovely week staying at Hillside Lodge.

It is situated in a beautiful location with stunning views across the hills and with sheep to keep you entertained. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather for this time of the year and made full use of the outside eating area. We watched the sunset from the hot tub each evening which was amazing. The wood burner in the outside area was a nice touch but some throws would mean that we could have stayed out and enjoyed it for even longer. Especially as we were enjoying watching the pair of swallows who had made it home! The lodge itself was well equipped and comfortable. It would have been handy if there had been some hooks on doors for towels although we were able to dry ours daily outside on the line provided due to the lovely weather. Our 2 dogs also enjoyed the lodge, particularly the large garden. A lovely stay and we would happily return. Thank you Marie.

Great location with only sheep for company.

Very comfortable with everything we needed, and the hot tub was ideally placed for the beautiful view. The owners were close enough for help if they were needed.

Very pleased with all the facilities in living , shower and outside areas.

But felt the age and comfort of both beds were very disappointing. To have no mattress protector on the bed in the back bedroom was a big no no. The bedrooms and the facilities were first class , but the beds and our sleep experience were a huge let down. Also the comfort of the pillows was lacking, but that is maybe our personal preference.

Beautiful place to stay and owner was lovely.

The accommodation was warm and comfortable with amazing views of the surrounding area.

Our two dogs enjoyed the enclosed space and great walks just outside the door. We used the outdoor area a lot even though it was winter time the owners were more than happy to supply wood and anything else we needed. The owners were very nice and easy to get in touch with even over the busy Christmas period. Thanks for having us!

The lodge was beautiful and clean and exactly what we wanted for a peaceful weekend away. The owner was on hand if we needed anything at all and we are already looking to book again.

Our third stay and fourth is already booked for next November. Owner is lovely and so helpful. We required assistance when we were there and within 5 minutes we’d had a visit and issue resolved! We always stay for a full week and have everything we need. Already looking forward to our next visit ☺️

We had a great week at Hillside Lodge, the living accommodation was excellent and so to the outdoor dining area.

The view from the Lodge, looking over Ludlow is spectacular with the sun setting over the opposite hills There are plenty of walks right on the door step, that our younger dog enjoyed, and the enclosed garden gave great freedom for both of our dogs. Big thank you to the owner Marie, we will be returning.

Absolutely stunning lodge, we have stayed in many dog friendly cottages / lodges and this is without doubt the best one.

Well, for our first family little get away.

It was amazing! Marie had made sure everything was ok for us, any problems she was there (not that we had any). Everywhere was so clean and well presented. The hot tub was a big hit for us and the kids. Our dog loved just lieing on the grass taking in the air. We also got to watch the barn swallows which were amazing, flying in and out their nest! What a fantastic lodge it was! Thank you! X

Sykes sent us the directions to the wrong lodge, but we soon found ours.

We absolutely loved staying here could' never get bored off view we had 2 dogs who loved outdoor space they were secure and safe beds so comfy would highly recommend beautiful part off the world.

Beautiful, peaceful location, although just a short drive to Ludlow, and the lodge itself was clean and well decorated.

Having the hot tub refreshed for every visit is very reassuring. The owners obviously take pride in their property and are very welcoming. I have already recommended it to several friends.

If you're after remote, this is remote!

Sainsbury's 10 mins drive. The facilities are excellent, the lodge is gorgeous, the hot tub was incredibly clean and we spent a lot of time in there during our stay. Loved the undercover leisure area, used the barbecue griddle, the freezer and wine fridge in this area. Lovely to be able to dine looking out over the superb view. If you have a very small dog (smaller than our Mini Schnauzers) the garden might not be totally secure if your dog is determined; we bought a screw in stake/tether so our two could roam on long lines without us worrying. We did check the boundaries but were not 100% comfortable to let them roam at their will.

The lodge was beautiful inside and out.

The views down the valley were breathtaking and it is located in a beautiful mountain setting. The hot tub was great and the BBQ area was a great asset and we had a lovely evening relaxing, eating and drinking. Will definitely be booking for a repeat visit and Maria was really lovely and kind. The beds were also amazing and we truly had a fabulous stay. Thank you.

We had a fantastic bank holiday stay at Hilltop Lodge.

The lodge is beautifully presented and well equipped- Marie, the owner, couldn’t do enough for us when we asked about where we could source wood for the outdoor wood burner. The dogs had an amazing time with plenty of freedom to explore, and the covered hot tub meant it was very well used! We loved it so much we are booking to return next year.

We spent a fantastic week at Hillside Lodge.

The views from the property are really lovely, especially from the master bedroom or from the hot tub which we enjoyed everyday. Inside is fitted out to a high standard. It is only 10-15 mins drive from Ludlow which is a beautiful place to visit. Croft castle is also worth visiting as well as Stokesay castle. Would recommend the Riverside inn at Aymestrey, the Lion inn at Leintwardine and the Blue Boar at ludlow for great pubs to eat out at. Good communication with Marie on the day and when we left. Would return again in the future when visiting this area.

I can honestly say that I could not fault Hillside lodge.

The property,the views, the host and everything about this place was perfect. We enjoyed a lovely welcome cake n u⁸and a visit from Marie the host, to make sure we had all that we needed. Our two lively Springers had a ball,with stunning views from our afternoon walks up the hill. A total relax,topped off by the beautiful hottub,which was perfectly tended to. Thankyou so much Marie,we will certainly be back and have already recommended to our friends.

The location of this lodge is great.

Excellent walks minutes from the door over the moors, the feeling of isolation but still accessible (via car) to local places. We had a lovely stay here and saw all weathers (it snowed! Which actually made it lovely). The hot tub is done well with the outside space and I imagine in summer is lovely. There are a couple of things that slightly detracted, and in the aim of providing a well rounded reviews, I’ve noted these below as some are easy fixes. It was an enjoyable stay overall. - the pillows on both beds were really hard and uncomfortable. I actually bought a pillow after the first night from a local supermarket to use. The beds however and sheets were comfortable. - there is no front door mat which for a dog friendly place wasn’t ideal in bad weather. We used one of our own towels, but this is a really easy fix. - the fridge door shelf is broken, and bottles wouldn’t fit except lying down, meaning we continually had leaking bottles and a mess to clean. I noted this on other reviews a while back, so to see it not fixed for a higher end cost properly was a bit disappointing. - I was texted on the day of arrival to ask if just one bed could be made up (the double not king with the views). Whether there is 2 of us staying or 4, I’d expect the option to decide when I’m there where I want to sleep without the presumption of this being in the bed with my guest. To avoid washing linen unnecessarily perhaps a sign could be left on the bed to say ‘don’t move me if you don’t use me’. To add, I asked for both to be made and they were so there was no issue, but I’d expect the full house to be ‘ready’ as standard. We did enjoy our stay here. There is no walking distance pub or place to eat but we were aware of this and willing to drive for days out, so this wasn’t an issue at all.

Hillside lodge was an amazing little find!

Cosy/comfortable and had everything we needed. Just to go for the hot tub alone and the view would make it worth it! Beautiful location, will definitely be back!

The lodge was lovely, a lot of time had been taken into the decor very welcoming, view were amazing, everything we needed for our holiday was there .

2nd year we have been for a birthday weekend, brill.

Hot tub was brill sitting in it with a glass of bubbly looking over the valley,very quiet great weekend,thanks to our hosts.

We spent 4 nights here and loved every minute, the views from the property are beautiful especially if the sun is out and you see it setting over Ludlow and the hills.

The hot tub was in constant use and was always well monitored by the owners for water quality. There are no shops in walking distance so bring all your food and drink with you unless you want to have a car trip out. We knew this and loved the remoteness and quietness, it felt very private as if it was only us there (and the sheep!).

Back from a lovely stay at Hillside Lodge.

The lodge itself has everything you need and was very clean, tidy and modern. What made this extra special was the amazing view and the outside covered area with the hot tub. We enjoyed outdoor cooking on the hot plate and although the weather in February wasn’t warm, the log burner kept us cosy. Definitely recommend staying here!

We have really enjoyed our week staying in this lovely lodge.

It is very modern inside and tastefully decorated. The views are stunning too. Outdoor facility is good and the hot tub, which we enjoyed every day, was excellent. The lodge is very remote with several narrow lanes to negotiate. Really peaceful once you’re there though.

This is the first time we have stayed at this beautiful holiday home but we hope it won’t be the last.

It’s absolutely beautiful, very high end feel and fixtures. The outside space is suburb and it’s where we spent a lot of time. With walks straight from the gate we rarely used our car. Marie is also what makes this place that bit more special in our opinion, she was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble

This was the best stay we’ve ever had of this type.

Total privacy with Marie and Neil on hand for anything we needed - totally unintrusive. The lodge is brilliantly designed and the owners have clearly gone to a lot of effort to create a stunning retreat. Great outdoor kitchen and hot plate BBQ with drinks fridges and freezer. Excellent indoor kitchen perfect for cooking anything. The beds are comfy, well presented and spotless. The scenery is incredible and the location perfect. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We will DEFINITELY be going back having tried lots of other places which don’t deliver compared to this.

Great stay, lodge as described and very comfortable.

The only little niggles are the shower head….you need to hold it up as it drops and faces the wall….minor but annoying when trying to wash and no large door pocket/shelf in fridge for things like larger cartons of milk or bottles of coke etc. Road might put some folks off as very narrow in bits but we were fine with it as we are used to these types of roads. Remote and no pubs/shops in immediate vicinity, definitely need a car. Nice little touch of milk and cake on arrival in lodge. Great for a peaceful break.

Absolutely gorgeous cabin well kept and very homely, it was a shame we had to leave we all had a fantastic time would definitely book again just for longer.

A beautiful place to stay, lacks for nothing, comfortably and tastefully decorated and stunning views. It is up a very steep hill, but Ludlow and the Ludlow Farm Shop and an Sainsburys, are only a short drive away. Great for our two dogs and there is a nice circular walk around the back of the property to a little fork in the road down the hill. Would definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet and a relaxing time. Bonus is the hot tub and watching the sunset from it.

Lodge was very cosy and clean. Would recommend this place. P.s the owners pulled all stops as it had been snowing and they cleared the lane leading up to the lodge and pathways around the lodge. Thankyou.

Peace and quiet guaranteed!

The lodge is in a lovely setting with an amazing view, and we didn’t see anyone for the whole time we were there (apart from our visit to Ludow). The lodge had everything we needed and although it was cold outside (February), the heating kept us warm and cosy. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped & spotless. The outside space is great but it was a shame we didn’t get to use it much because of the cold weather. The hot tub, was clean, very relaxing and great for star gazing under the clear dark skies . Just a couple of nit picks… the garden is fairly secure and enclosed but keep an eye out if you have a small dog, our little 'Eddie' found a space to escape behind the back of the lodge within 5 minutes of arriving! No extra towels or robes were provided for the hot tub so make sure to bring your own. Would love to visit again in spring or autumn when it’s a bit warmer for alfresco dining or to enjoy the log burner in the outside cabin.

What great views and a lovely Lodge to stay in. It was warm, clean and welcoming. The dogs enjoyed all the sniffs around and slept well every night, as did we! We will definitely go back when the weather gets warmer but a great place to switch off from the wheels of life.

Very modern and well equipped. We went whilst it was snowing and they kindly gritted the roads. Towns local to get to, perfect for walks. Not a nit pick but shower head could use some attention as it droops down. Other than that, would highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Owner was great, I didn’t meet her but had great contact on the phone, nothing too much trouble. Nice touches, milk in fridge, lovely cake, coffee The cabin itself very clean, everything you need , would definitely return The only minor niggle (wasn’t an issue)we found the hot tub lid quite heavy to lift off ,if there’s 2 of you it’s ok.Harder if you’re on your own. Love the log burner, would be lovely to have one indoors Overall definitely a place I would return to, and will most definitely recommend to friends and family

Our hosts were on hand if we needed them. The lodge itself was beautifully furnished and comfortable, fab hot tub and amazing views. We had a peaceful holiday with our dog, walking in Mortimer & Wyre Forests and Wolverley Lock. A perfect time!

Cannot fault anything about our stay here, beautiful lodge, spacious and airy.

The view just makes a lovely stay even better as it’s amazing, you could sit and look at it all day we will most definitely be back. If we could give more than 5 stars we would, thank you.

Wonderful place to stay, the views are beautiful the garden perfect if you have dogs, hot tub fab to relax in spotlessly clean, a couple of hooks to hang a robe or towel on would be useful as you get out.

But If your after a quiet break in a beautiful area this is perfect, but as nothing is close take all supplies with you, if you do want to venture out great walks and picturesque Ludlow a few minutes away Ludlow brewery worth a visit. Carnt wait to go back, oh and Marie was brill and helpful a lovely chocolate cake on arrival Thank you Marie for a very enjoyable break you have a wonderful place

Fantastic property in a wonderful location and tastefully decorated.

The view down the valley is incredible whilst the outside space is first rate and that is without mentioning the hot tub, we had such a relaxing week at Hillside Lodge. The flat plate griddle in the outside cabin is great and I used it every day whilst the adjacent beer fridge was a welcome addition. Be warned though, this place is isolated and pubs, shops etc are several miles away but if you want a `get away from it all break` this is definitely the place to go. There were a couple of issues though...the location probably means you'll be cooking at the property most of the time (great for me as I love cooking!) but 1x bread knife and 1x paring knife is not enough to prepare a meal there really should be a decent knife block. Also, 4x 6" dimpled chopping boards are not much use to anyone, a decent big steak hangs over the edges so a good sized chopping board would be useful. Oh and I don't understand why we couldn't use the TV normally but better information on how to use the TV, microwave, dish washer etc would be very helpful all round. These are only minor issues though, it's a wonderful property and I would say it is one of the best value for money properties on Sykes` books. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous lodge in a stunning location!

The owners were lovely and extremely helpful. The lodge was really nice with lovely decor. The front bedroom had the amazing view but the bed was too soft for us, however we realise this is personal preference. What sets this property apart is the outside space and the incredible view! Yes it’s remote but this is clear in the details and that’s the appeal for us. We loved being able to walk our dogs straight from our lodge up Clee Hill. Our dogs loved the garden but just a note to say it isn’t fully enclosed, it has small gaps where little dogs can get through into the field below. It wasn’t a problem for us but worth noting if your dogs are more adventurous. We also stayed at their other lodge Stoneybrook which is across the other side of the lane and very similar, both properties are lovely and we will definitely return.

Wonderful log Cabin on Clee hill with fantastic views very well laid out.

Very clean and comfortable. Loved outdoor space with hot tub woodburner and cooking facilities. The owner Marie was very helpful especially when we couldn’t get the tv to work. The only thing that was missing would be some more knifes/utensils but we made do. Lots of local walks and Ludlow is foodie heaven with good shops local independent Cheese shop & Butchers,Bread. Plus the big supermarkets. Car park is very cheap (30p hr) and encourages visitors to the town no charge after six and Sundays but can get very busy at peak times lots of castles and NT properties to visit near by

Wonderful property in a beautiful setting.

The only disappointment was the TV we could not get live programmes or subtitles which is essential for my sister as she is deaf. The kitchen would have benefitted from a few more glasses for wine and fizz. There was also no wine bottle opener and there were a lack of kitchen utensils However we managed and had a great time and would definitely want to come back.

Owner was really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Lodge was spotless and had a real luxurious feel throughout. The view from bed through the bifold doors was really special as the views over the hill were spectacular. The outside facilities were amazing, especially the hot-tub, sitting area and grill plate. I cant wait to go back!

The logde is beautiful the views are fantastic when there’s no fog. The inside is beautifully decorated, the beds are so soft like being swallowed by a marshmallow. The garden is dog friendly no escaping from our little beagle. The best bit of it all is the hot tub and outdoor entertainment area where we spent most of our time. The bbq (gas grill) is awesome we had a few bbqs and cooked breakfast on it. I would recommend getting some logs if you want a good fire and a bit of heat from the log burner. Over all we would 100% be returning.

The views from the Lodge were superb and we had some fantastic sunsets over the hills opposite.

Marie was a very helpful and attentive host without being obtrusive and as only a phone call away if you needed anything. Previous reports stated that the cottage wasn't particularly dog friendly as the dogs could get into the next field, while this was true, this field was small and had stock fencing round it and our 2 Jack Russells didn't escape from it.

Absolutely fabulous place!

If you're looking for nightlife, this isn't the place for you but if you're after an idyllic relaxing location with amazing views, you've got it! Beautifully decorated and furnished, this is a true home from home. A previous review had mentioned the lack of freezer but this was addressed during our stay so is now available.

The listing says it has a BBQ but it is not a BBQ it's a fabulous plancha gas grill which we used everyday. Wonderful owners who are on hand at the top of the lane if you need them. Spent time walking nearby - some steep hills !!!! Ludlow Farm Shop is close by for local produce, as is the town itself but when you have such a lovely accommodation why would you need to go elsewhere. Blissful holiday watching beautiful birds in the garden, lovely walks and fabulous weather.

Lovely stay , very rural which is one of the reasons we chose this place .

Only drawback was the listing stated fridge freezer , but it is actually a fridge with an ice box . Luckily I managed to get all my frozen items in it . Fab place , and Marie the owner was very helpful and not intrusive . Would highly recommend this lodge if you want to get away from it all

First off, this is the best self catering property we have ever rented.

....we have rented in towns and countryside, this eclipsed everything. The location is outstanding, the property is well presented, there is nothing from a charity shop here (unlike some we have previously rented) it is roomy, nice furnishings and decor, well equipped, good size garden, off road parking. You control the heating, no restrictions. This property is located high up on Titterstone Clee Hill, a couple of minutes walk and you are at a gate which leads directly onto Clee Hill Common which has many foot paths including the Shropshire way, its steep, but the climb is worth it, at the trig point there are 360 degree views of the neighbouring countryside, stunning! There are ruins of Dhustone mining to explore too. Be aware if you have a dog, its lead walks only as the common is full of sheep. The joy of Hillside Lodge is that you look out onto a huge part of the view from the front windows, the garden and the hot tub. Yon watch the weather changing across the valley below, its mesmerising. The hot tub is in a separate open fronted building overlooking the view, totally private, in the building there is also a dining table and chairs, along with seats to relax in with a log burner and a gas powered griddle to cook on should you so wish. We rented in the first week in May 2021 and enjoyed warm sun, snow, hail, sleet, rain, gale force winds, from the tub! Two of our favourite places are close Ludlow and Bewdley, both worth a visit. Only very minor gripes, one of our dogs got out of the garden somehow and ended up in a sheep field, luckily no damage done and a couple more towels would have been nice, one for the shower, one for the tub. Oh, and on the morning we left, we decided to clean the place pack and clean then have a final dip in the tub, did everything and found the tub emptying to be refilled for the next guests...gutted! Oh well.... We will I’m very sure return, its the only place we have been that we were reluctant to leave. Really, really impressed!

The Lodge is so much more than I expected.

It was clean well equiped and warm. You do need a car to get from a to b. Ludlow is about 10 mins away by car and has lots of good shops and markets, which are on most of the days. There is a shop closer to the lodge in a small place called Clee Hill. Again its a small car drive away and has a good range of products. The hot tub was bliss and well worth taking a dip. Marie who owns the lodge was great and nothing was to much trouble. I had a fantastic break and a well earned rest. I shall be returning again in the summer months.

We loved Hillside Lodge.

The views down across the valley towards Ludlow were amazing. The lodge was very private and we particularly enjoyed the peace and tranquility, and the fact that we could go walking straight from the doorstep. We hope to return.

A hook or 2 would be useful around the hot tub for towels and a little more kitchen equipment would be great but it wouldn’t stop us recommending the place to anyone. We had a wonderful week and saw a part of the country we were unfamiliar with

Such a beautiful peaceful place, if you want to get away from it all this is the ideal location, lovely views, home comforts, the hot tub is amazing!

Hill Side Lodge near Ludlow is a beautiful, cosy spot with stunning surroundings and views.

The facilities are great with a wonderful outside space, even in the cold wind and snow we sat in the hot tub and watched nature and the weather, it was totally relaxing.

Lovely location and very helpful hosts

A very nice cabin high on a hill with a fantastic view over Ludlow and of surrounding hills, even from the hot tub!

A great place to walk from, ie Clee Hill and beyond, and Ludlow is only 15-20 minutes away for provisions etc.
