Cedar Lodge

Absolutely beautiful place, we didn’t want to leave and 100% will be coming back.

We never left the cabin. They provided 3 fan which was fantastic as we went the hottest weekend of the year. 100% recommend

The lodges are lovely and well presented, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend retreat and will be back later in the year.

Exactly as described, comfortable functional accessible accommodation in a lovely setting.

Well equipped cabin. Great walks on site, and a lovely cafe. Lodge faces the access road and path, which is a little odd. As others have said, the green safety lights in the bedroom are very intense and intrusive to restful sleep, take an eye mask!

Lodge was clean & tidy, well equipped.

The green safety lights were very bright and although necessary they did seem too bright when trying to sleep. Lovely setting and lots of nice walks available, we were able to have a BBQ in the back garden which was great. The outside look of the lodges would benefit from some tlc as they looked abit tired.

We had a lovely stay, would definitely recommend and would like to return one day.

The only issue was the green night light on the ceiling in the bedroom, we prefer it dark at bedtime and we couldn't find a way to switch it off.

Loved staying at Rosliston Forestry Centre and very much appreciated the surroundings.

The lodge was very spacious and comfortable. Perfect for an escape from our busy schedules. Thank you.

we had a problam with this lodge that couldn't be fixed so we were offered another which we accepted.

Both properties were much the same but could all do with a spring clean ,tidy, paint,regrout maybe could benefit from a gate on one of the balconies so that kids/dogs would have a safe area however non of this interfered with our holiday. These cabins are ideal for wheelchair or disabled people as at least one of the bathrooms are kitted out for their needs ie wetroom,rails etc Plenty to see and do on site lovely walks and a cafe.Good location for seeing the area easy access to many major route. Will definatly put in our to go back to holiday folder.

Booked for my moms 60th birthday weekend and had an absolutely wonderful time Beautiful cabin with lots of space.

Facilities on site good and lots of lovely walks Facilities excellent, we ordered a tesco delivery beforehand but was impressed with how many items were provided (washing up liquid, toilet roll, coffee and tea bags) Had read online about the water having a different taste, so had taken bottled water with us. Wasn't a major issue for us but there was definitely a different taste to the water than we are used to at home No signal in cabin which wasnt an issue for us (it was lovely!) But I suppose might be an issue to some. We just walked slightly up the hill to get enough signal to order pizza

We had a very cosy stay at Cedar lodge over New Year.

The lodge was warm and had a real Christmas tree which was a lovely touch! The facilities are very good including a slow cooker in the kitchen. My kids were shocked to realise there was no WiFi but quickly adjusted to ‘live’ free view tv…!

Well we think you need to sort out the drinking water as we think its got some think wrong with it its got a taste of sewage as well as the bunk bed's are just two single bed put on top of each other its not good and the Green Light in the bedroom is all so not good if you are light sensitive would love to stay there again but we had to go buy water to make cup's of tea and Coffee as could not use the tap water at all love the place just not the water and the other two bits.

would have been better sited sideways giving disabled access from balcony to rear garden from balcony not accessible by wheelchair or someone with difficulty walking. I had to deep clean hob and grill and clean some pans before I could use them, The anti-slip wet room floor was unusually slip when wet, could be cleaning products use this was a problem for me wife and came close to falling twice (needs sorting) a steam clean would remove any remaining cleaning products, we have the same floor at home and don’t have a problem. Overall, we had a good week in early July and wouldn’t stay again

What a fantastic experience!

The cottage is nestled in beautiful natural surroundings, which we absolutely loved. The absence of WiFi turned out to be a real blessing — the kids spent far less time on their devices and so much more time enjoying nature. Our dog was completely in her element too — keeping watch over us just like she does at home, and she fit in perfectly with the peaceful setting. One of the most special parts of the trip was hearing my disabled mother-in-law say we’d helped her tick something off her bucket list. She never thought she’d be able to stay in the heart of a forest — let alone with the added comfort of a walk-in wet room. This truly made her day, especially as it was a gift for her 70th birthday. We also celebrated my parents' 44th wedding anniversary during our stay, as well as my dad’s 76th birthday — so it really was a memorable time for all of us. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. We’ll always treasure this experience.
