Rowan Lodge

This is our third stay and we love it there.

It is so peaveful which is what we like. Our adult son with SLD really relaxes while we are there. You have everything in the properties and theres a chippy and co-op a short walk away. We will be back again next year, if not before. Staff on site are amazing.

Great location

We were very happy with Rowan Lodge, it was just lovely!

Fully equipped and furnished; it was clean, warm and draught-free, and the location was excellent. The photos did not disappoint and we loved every minute of our stay. The forest walks, the visiting wildlife (squirrels and pheasants) and the cafe were all wonderful, and we are recommending this place to all our friends! There is also an excellent playground for young children too.

I have booked these lodges a few times for my colleagues who were working in the area and they have always been clean and comfortable with everything you need for a lovely stay.

There is ample parking and lots of room around the lodge for sitting outside, playing games or having a bbq (which is also provided). I would highly recommend staying here.

Site and cabin very tired looking,could do with proper clean.

Poor value for money much better Airbnb for the money

A great forest lodge in a brilliant location, we spent three nights here as a family of four and loved it.

Bedrooms felt vast, kitchen was well-stocked, and having everything on one level was a big help with young children running around. The setting is great - plenty of trails to explore, great facilities at the Forestry Centre, and listening to the owls at night was a real highlight! Only minor downside was the rather bright emergency lights in the bedrooms limiting darkness for sleep, but very minor and we'd have no hesitation booking again.

Great little find with spacious and accessible rooms at a very fair price and great staff and locale

At first l really thought this accessible property looked fine , it was wide for my wheeled walker making every where easy to get to .

The wet room was large making that easy too , but l was disapointed there was no where to put my clothes when undressed or to put my showering items .The settee and armchair were ok but lots of cushions needed behind my back .When we went to bed the bed was so hard and uncomfortable l could not sleep at all making my next day very hard to get through. We eventually came home very early Thursday morning as l could not stand the bed any more ......It was areal shame as l thought it was going to be so right .....PLEASE just spend some money on a GOOD matteress, it will make so much difference to everyone ...

The advert stated 2 bathrooms but it was a wet room and toilet room.

No WiFi which for the price of the lodge I wasn't happy with. I would not recommend this lodge and I wouldn't come back again.

The lodge was lovely and very big.

3 TVs. Air fryer, slow cooker, toaster and microwave. Oven and cooking rings. Plenty of toilet rolls, washing up liquid, tea towel and bath towels. Very well stocked.

We had the best time, so relaxing and peaceful.

Our second year staying here and will be back next year. Staff onsight are so helpful and friendly. Its a hidden gem.
