What guests are saying
The lodge was lovely and spacious and the beds were super comfy!
Kitchen was really well equipped and we loved how peaceful the location was. There were fans in all of the rooms which was appreciated. Just a couple of practical improvements - there are no mirrors in any of the bedrooms, and not many plug sockets so could only dry my hair in the hallway. The lighting is quite clinical in the living room - a couple more lamps would make it feel more cosy in the evening. Overall would stay again.
We arrived in one of the heatwaves to find 2 fans at our disposal - thank you very much.
A great location in all this heat with lots of trees all around.
Lovely lodge with great surroundings.
Peaceful, not overlooked. Sensible lay out and plenty space for 2 families. The outdoor play areas outside the visitor centre are fantastic, with a perfect 1 mile walk to the lake with sculptures/seats etc along the route. Well stocked kitchen equipment - good quality and plenty plates cutlery glasses etc. Showing some signs of age and misuse but the owners are planning to do a refurb soon. They seem to have responded to a previous comment and have restocked the kitchen, and were eager to hear our comments with suggestions for improvements. We would love to visit again.
